Airtel — infinity plan 649 - biggest scam and customer cheating | |||
This is to inform you that i have a family plan with two numbers attached to a single account. I was initially using 599 plan and one of the numbers (Child number) is generally used in roaming. I received a call to explain me about the details related to infinity plan based on my usage and suggested me rs. 649 plan indicating that the calls will be free within the home network and on roaming for both numbers (Primary and child number). I tried to check this whether it is true or not through the famous (Rather infamous) airtel app and it always used to show me the rs.7 as unbilled amount for the entire duration (I, e august 16 to september 16 2017), to my utmost shock when my bill information was received it showed me a whooping bill of rs. 2879.46/-. I was not knowing the reason why this has occured and called up the customer care. I was told that the child number will not enjoy all the benefits of the parent number and the roaming outgoing for the child number is chargeable. I was shocked since during plan change the customer care person has not provided me this information. I asked them to correct this since it was not my mistake nor such details were provided to customer. Following are my questions: 1. The terms and conditions of the plan for parent and child number are not seperately detailed nor explained to the customer. 2. The airtel app did not indicate a higher unbilled amount (Under current usage) heading so that customer could have asked for this information earlier. 3. The customer care people provided a completely false information to sell the plan. After all this i wanted to decouple the two numbers and activate rs. 649/- for each number for which the customer care people said this cannot be done and told me to visit an online store to do the same. This option is also available in airtel app but when the customer tries to remove the child number added to his account it says it is not possible. I want airtel to decouple the two numbers and as a customer i was trapped for this useless plan where all the information was hided to the customer resulting in such huge bills.
