[Resolved]  Airtel — Issues with my landline

Dear sir/ madam,

My landline number is[protected]. Since beginning i have been facing issues with respect to this connection, this is the 3rd issue/ complaint.

I called on 30-sep for surrender of this number as we were moving from gurgaon to hyderabad on 09th oct. The customer care executive on 121 gave us an option and suggestion of safe custody for 90 days at a charge of inr 250.

We thought about it and decided for safe custody option given by the customer care. We again called on 09th october for getting the safe custody activated on the number. The executive informed us of the charges and we confirmed it.

Our d2h was also to be transferred to hyderabad so we asked to transfer the call internally to d2h team so that we can get that sorted as well on the same call.

Before transferring, we asked for an issue/ interaction number of the call from the executive to which they said that they cannot provide the number as this is not a complaint but just a request. We trusted them on this and agreed.

The call was then transferred to the d2h team which seemed an endless wait and we hung up.

I got a call from customer care on 18th october that our number is not in safe custody as our connection is not 3 months old. I informed the executive that the call centre confirmed it and they should check their call records instead of arguing with us.

We moved out of gurgaon on 09th october and since then we are not using the connection which can be verified with the data/ call logs.

I request you to get the call records checked for 09th october, the call was made from [protected] (Tarun kumar yadav).

If this was committed by the call centre staff for safe custody then was is the number not in safe custody? If it cannot be in safe custody due to the tenure of the connection then why was it committed to us?

If the connection cannot be in the safe custody as per the terms and conditions of the safe custody then please waive off the bill which will be generated for the next billing cycle that is from 11th october - 10th november.
