Airtel — long pending issue

This Issue Started in January 2019 when the Airtel DTH Staff came to my home to setup the setup box and dish. They carelessly happened to install someone else's Setup box and left.

My Parents who are both 60 + did not know the details. So In a month or two, the issue started to arise. My Elder brother(who stays in delhi) did the recharges but then it did not go into the desired customer id since The staff had setup someone elses account. Later on I came back to India and on investigating i realised that that there was a misconnect between the accounts being recharged and the account which was installed.

Clearly the account that is here at home does not belong to anyone in my family but to random different customer. I raised this issue multiple times during the month of April. One Customer agent on the call assured me that the money which went to the other customer id would be available on the current tv account so as to ensure that tv service was not disrupted.(THAT NEVER HAPPENED THOUGH). Anyways, another DTH staff came home to check and confirmed that the staff who came for installation had made a mistake.

Now since the DTH staff did not know what to do, he called his senior Revathi ([protected]) and handed over the phone to me I talked to this lady and she said that they will make necessary arrangements to change the account details and make this process seamless. I also talked to another person name Vinod Gopalakrishnan([protected]) who said that it was very unfortunate and they would help to sort this mess out.

However, After 2 months, No one has followed up on the assurances and I have decided not to use this pathetic service untill things are resolved.
I am deliberately pointing out the names here of the people who talked to me on behalf on Airtel.

Consumer grievances handling is a very serious job and having employees/Customer service who do not give a rats ass to the consumers concerns are not really needed in this fast pacing world which emphasizes on Exceptional Client Service which i feel is not clearly Airtels forte.
