Airtel — new dth connection activation done very late & very less no. of channel given against proposed at website | |||
My customer id of airtel dth is [protected] I didnt had any dth connection at my home. On 18-04-18 i looked at different sites for dth connection online order. I came accross airtel dth where in they were charging rs 4700 for hd setop box with 12 months subscription of channels. They were offering 349 channels & 49 hd channels. I paid and waited for further action. Same day i received a call from airtel that when service person should be sent for installation, i said you tell when you want to send as that time i was in office. They said they will call back. Then i went for a meeting for an hour. When i came back i saw there were miscalls. So i called back, it was from airtel i asked pls tell for what you had called, they said sir service man had went to your location but you didint picked phone so he has come back. I said i was never informed when he was coimng. Then they disconnected phone. After 10 minutes i recevied msg. That your order has been cancelled. I called back on 12150 airtel cusotmer care and asked what is happening, i was told that service person will come tomorrow for installation. Next day again in morning call came that service person will come for installation, at what time we should send. I said you send them in between 01 pm to 02 pm. They said ok. No ones call came till 3 p. M. After that i got call from service man that when should i come, you tell me your address. I gave him details. He came at 3.30 and installation finished by 6.30 p. M. He told me in two hours your connection will get activiated, you pls keep your settop box active. Whole night i kept on, i didnt got activated. Then next morning i called customer care for activation, they said by 7-8 p. M. It will be activated. Then i re called at 7.30 p. M. As still it was not activated, they told to wait till 9-10 a. M. Next day. I got very angry with this. But had no option as i have paid money. Again night pass connection not got activated. Then on 21-04-18 in morning i called customer care and said will this be activated, i was told pls wait till 2 p. M. You can imagine the amount of stress i would be going through with all these insensitive and immature promises made by airtel peoples. Finally at 11.30 am connection got activated. But to my surprise now another problem started only tamil language was activiated. No hindi serials, cinemas, news chaneels nothing was coming. I called customer care and asked they your pack has been activated tamil and 4 hd channels. I said i have subscribed for 349 channels and 48 hd channels, he said no this is what is coming now. I said i have paid 4700 then he said let me check, then he said seems there is some issue pls give us 4 hrs of time will resolve this, after this i ended my communnication. I dont know whether promised 349 channels and 48 hd chaneels will be given. Airtel is such a big brand and they are so poorly managed, i couldn't imagine that. I'm totally disheartened today they way i'm cheated and treated by airtel. Copy of amount charged and channels details as appearing on website of airtel is attached for reference.
