I dropped the cheque no. 166740 for Rs.1485 in BillBox drop box, on 15th August 2016. This was for my cel phone bill payment for July, 2016. On 6th Sept.2016, I received bill for August 2016. This bill showed balance payment for last month, Rs.1485. I contacted Airtel customer care no.12118. They told me that they not received the payment and are unable to trace the cheque. Next I contacted BillBox and they told me that they delivered the cheque to Airtel office on 16th August, 2016. They spoke with Airtel officer and found out that the said cheque has overwriting and it is invlid.
I contacted Airtel again on phone, wrote mail to [protected]@airtel.com. Sagarika told me on phone that I must make a fresh payment first and then they will return the original cheque. I followed on this everyday on phone and email. Last reply I received on email by Mr. Pankaj Reddy is given below for reference.

However, till today, I did not receive the original cheque. I made fresh payment with new cheque no. 166745 on 17th Sept.2016.
