[Resolved]  Airtel — Overbilling by airtel

Hi, this is in regard to my bill dated 18-SEP-2016 (bill 17 aug 2016 to 16 Sep 2016) for the airtel number +91 [protected] (circle Jammu & Kashmir), Which is amounting to Rs.24615.27 and total due is amounting toRs.22870.06 ( i was on infinity 1999 plan for the same month). On talking to Arjun Sharma of Airtel by calling 121 on 19 september 2016 at 5:10 pm he convinced me that the charges are because i have exceeded my data usage of7 gb Which is coming bundled with my 1999 plan.

Sir in a nut shell, i was told that i have been charged for excess data and Mr. Arjun Sharma without listening to my side of the story told me that i should Contact Mr. Imran Khan Durrani of Jammu for the same matter.

I however kept on telling Mr. Arjun Sharma that i have sent STOP TO 1925 on 22 Aug 2016 which is supposed to stop my data after the data limit of 7gb is reached. He did not give an ear to my request and kept on asking for the proof and told me to contact appellate for the solution.

I Raised the issue on appellate authority of airtel with service request no. 71578438 on 19 Sep 2016 asking them to waive off my charges. The request was closed on 23 September and i got a message from airtel that the charges are valid, without giving any verbal clarification. This was highly unprofessional behavior by airtel appellate who did not justify the validity of these charges, which forced me raise the complaint again with reference no.7189965 on the same day 23 september 2016(friday). On the same day i got a call from appellate telling me that the issue would be resolved by Monday. However the issue has not been resolved as of now 27 sep 2016 9 pm (tuesday).

I am claiming that the charges are invalid because of the following reasons:

I have sent STOP TO 1925 ON 22 AUG 2016 7:01 Pm which is supposed to stop my data after 100% data is consumed
I have got sms from airtel at 11:22 am on 16 Sep 2016(which is the last day of my billing cycle) stating i have consumed only 90% of my data
According to my bill i have consumed 1.6 gb data on 16 Sep 2016 so in worst case i have consumed 90% of data + 1.6 gb of data in total
On checking data usage after 16 Sep 2016 in my current billing cycle i.e on 17 Sep, 18 Sep, up till 27 Sep 2016 by sending DATA USE to 121 it tells me that i still have a data balance of 6100 MB of previous cycle which i can use with my current bill cycle, which further proves my point that i have not exceeded my data limit in the previous bill cycle.
My credit limit as per my airtel bill is 14000 which means my calls, sms, data is supposed to be barred when my unbilled usage exceeds this set amount, had i exceeded my credit limit airtel should have informed me. No intimation was done by airtel.
