Airtel — poor bandwidth for data | |||
The customer support for Airtel is ridiculous and a joke. Not that any other customer care numbers are any better. I signed up for the wi-fi hotspot dongle provided by Airtel. It has been six months since I have registered my complaint with Airtel regarding the poor bandwidth and erratic behaviour that I am experiencing with the dongle. My complaint remains unresolved and eventually I have decided to cancel my connection. The people who man the customer care have no capacity to do anything. When talking to them, it becomes so obvious that they are just performing like an autobot. The responses are scripted and they go through the standard scripted statements without applying any intelligence on their own. The company takes my money with unfailing regularity but when it comes to providing service, there have no commitments at all. There is no SLA with regard to the standard of service promised. The customer is at the receiving end and has no recourse of escalating problems and issues to higher levels. He is forced to either accept the poor service or go elsewhere. The options with the others are not any better, because this country being India, giving a customer appropriate return for his money is the not mandated at all. I have lived in the west and can see the huge difference in what is called 'customer service'. It is virtually non existent in this country. Was this information helpful? | |||
