[Resolved] Airtel — Prepaid Conversion unsuccessful after 20 days! | |||
Dear Sir/Ma'am, My name is Chaitanya with airtel postpaid number of +91 [protected], registered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. I had applied for postpaid to prepaid conversion on 28th December. I requested for a new sim and paid the remaining amount of my airtel postpaid card. I was promised that the conversion will be made by January 2nd, 2017. On January 2nd, I raised a complaint stating that the conversion had not completed. I was given a complaint reference number 73280776 and promised that the conversion will be made by Jan 4th whatsoever. Even after following up for three days with the customer care, the conversion was not successful. I spoke to the customer care on January 3rd and informed that I would be leaving the country on January 5th and requested them to take this as highest priority. I was promised that the conversion will be definitely made by January 4th evening whatsoever. I left the country for further studies but my conversion is still not successful. I requested my brother to complain regarding the same in the ARC, T.Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He spoke to a lady called Sudha who said that the conversion was complete and only the documentation was pending. She assured that it will be done within one working day and gave her contact number for any queries. My brother tried calling her after one working day. The phone was either switched off or not reachable whenever he tried. I got a message yesterday saying Airtel tried reaching me and will try contacting me again. It's funny that Airtel does not even consider emailing the customer when he/she is not available via phone. This service of yours is very inconvenient. I do not understand as to why a customer has to run around for the conversion. The customer guy called me when I was in India and he was asking me to give him the address of the ARC. I told him the area and the pincode. He was unable to locate. I was surprised that a guy from airtel does not know office of his own company! He said he cannot help me unless I give him the address. I had to again run around to get the address. I never faced any inconvenience like this in my life so far. I received a bill on 12th January. I will not be paying the bill as, for me, I have requested the conversion and paid the remaining amount already on Dec 28th. This will be my last resort and last try. I will not be trying to contact Airtel regarding my conversion. Please look in to this. A frustrated and tired customer, Chaitanya PS: I tried just now to talk to Sudha.
