[Resolved]  Airtel — Prepaid data service

This is regarding pathetic service of airtel in my region. Starting from the network coverage, call drop outs, irractic and repeated notification of mobile switched off though it is on and bad data networks; the service is now not up to the average mark. Though i work in a company where network is provided by airtel, the rival are really taking over by covering more and more single users from my company. Airtel is very ill about the balance deduction and do not refund even the service is not getting used. I have decided to stop using data service due to pathetic coverage for 2G. After 28 days of period o[censored]sing data service pack. I have got a mesaage that my service was discontinued. Your customer care department even don't know the solutions, the one executive tells exactly opposite of what solution given by other executive. This happened when i did a whatsapp recharge and still i was charged from the main balance for the service for more than 2 days. I contacted service centre and they gave me lots of reason and exactly opposite solution of messaging start and stop on 1925. Further when i did a recharge of Rs. 180 and my total balance became 211.50. I had been charged for rs 198 for continuation of data service from last month. I disconnected the data service and immediately contacted customer service and requested them to stop the internet service and refund the amount. The executive Mr. Narendra Singh (i don't believe this is true name) assured me about the refund and asked me to check the balance after 30 mins. I have also got a message of my complaint number. I checked the balance quite a few times over 2-3 hours and did not get refund. I again contacted customer service and and asked for the status and refund. The executive straight away said no and told that nothing is mentioned about the refund. This is very irritating for an customer. Non refunding of balance has happened quite a few times with me. I expect a positive response before tomorrow. This is not regarding only balance deduction. I want to know under which clause of TRAI regulations the balance cant be refunded for an unused service, what penalty should an operator get for providing false information? This should also be highlighted to the consumer forum of India. Thousands of other users must also be facing similar problems from the service providers like Airtel.
