[Resolved] Airtel — Providing 4G home wifi in the area which is suitable only for 3G wifi connectivity | |||
In response to my online request on the Airtel Web, 4G Airtel wifi Router with SIM no [protected] at Rs 2500/ was activated on 2 Feb’17. On the very same day I filed a complaint about no connectivity of wifi. After several complaints, Airtel's technician visited our place & reported that since our area i.e Turner Road, Bandra (W) is covered by 3G, we would not get 4G wifi connectivity unless and until our area is upgraded to 4G. All our efforts by way of appeal by several emails to the Appellate authority to get the area upgraded to 4G had failed. Hence in order to buy peace of mind I was forced to request for cancellation of said wifi connection vide my email of 25Feb to the Appellate Authority. The said connection was disconnected on 26 Feb'17. My request to take back the router and refund my cost has not been acceded to but on the contrary I have been receiving threatening calls from Airtel that my wifi is is only suspended.Hence I will have to pay minimum bill every month.It is requested that Aitel may be asked to take back router and refund me the amount. In any case I am not liable any monthly charges as my wifi is disconnected on 25 Feb at my request. Was this information helpful? | |||
