[Resolved] Airtel — refund of prepaid recharge | |||
This is with regards to my number [protected], which was a prepaid number till 20th feb 2020 and i got it changed to postpaid (As recommended by the airtel call center and store where we visited). Since 3 years it was in the name of my cousin, but i was using the same and always recharged. Same way i got it recharged with rs598 through bajajwallet app (Attached screenshot for reference) and after which the sim was blocked for outgoing calls (Without any intimation). When contacted the airtel team, they mentioned as its an old sim and i had to change to the new sim by visiting the nearest store. But as my cousin was not available i had to convert to postpaid as per the store at punjagutta and i paid more rs300. Now, the airtel says they are not going to refund the rs598 nor its adjusted in the new postpaid. They say whatever i do or give any complaint, they will not refund as the amount given to prepaid is no more valid. I got to know that my rs598 is not being adjusted not returned. Infact they challenged me after writing to their nodal team on no refund even if i complain in the consumer forum. When my rs 598 is not utilized it's not a small amount. Kindly help in getting the refund. Postpaid bill for the same number is already in use and a separate bill gets generated. Please help in getting refund.
