Airtel — Request for broadband and fixed landline connection shifting turned in to disconnection request.

Hi all,

I have an existing airtel fixed line and broadband service bearing account no. [protected]. I have requested to transfer my airtel service from bangalore to chennai (Ref #[protected]. I received a call from an airtel rep stating that the new address does not come under airtel service region and informed that airtel fixed line/broadband service can not be provided in the new address. I did inform the rep that i have already enquirer regarding the service availability in my new address and the local airtel rep confirmation on port/service availability in the apartment and that he will be able to provide me service within 2days if i opt for new airtel connection.

In-spite of my information the rep went and told that they (Rep/back-end team) will not be able to help me out with the transfer of the service and informed me that i can take a new connection from the local rep i wanted airtel service and asked me if she can process the service disconnection from her end.

I requested her to cancel the transfer request that i have raised as i will be using the service in the current address and will raise a new request to transfer the service to my parents address in bangalore.

The airtel rep has process for service disconnection and i am now unable to use the service.

I contacted 121 and found that my service is disconnected (Not sure on how airtel can disconnect the service with out a confirmation/information)

121 rep informed that they will be able to reactivate the service and raised a new request reactivation (Req #[protected] and told that i will have to provide address proof/photo proof document for reactivation and the process will take 5 working days not sure why i will have to provide all the doc again and wait for 4 -5 days to get my services back if airtel had disconnected the service and this makes airtel un-trust worthy for relationship it has with its customer.

Not sure if i will have to continue with the service provider who doesn't care for the customer request and service connectivity. As airtel is happy to let go the customer it has and the customers of airtel will have to run behind airtel the services/requests/connection availability and etc...

I request any one from airtel to look into this issues and find a fix for this kind of issues that airtel customers are facing.
