Airtel — scam by official airtel executive - new broadband connection-chennai | |||
My name is vignesh and i am from chennai. I have applied for a new broadband connection from airtel via official airtel website on june 13th 2017. I received a call from a airtel representative named gokul (Ph: on the next day. On showing my willingness for a new connection, he came to my home late night at around 9pm and collected all my proofs and documents. He said that since its late, he will fill up the application himself and would provide me with a registration number the next day morning and collected rs.1000/- before leaving my home. Since, i applied from airtel's official website, i considered him to be genuine and believed his words. The was in contact with me for about 4 weeks during which he would say that there is a problem with the feasibility and would give me the connection as soon as it is resolved. On requesting for the registration number of my application, he would say that he will send and wont send. This was happening for about 4-6weeks. On the end of july, i lost my patience and asked for a refund. He said he would give me and asked me to visit location and his phone would be switched off. This happened for a week. Once he said he works in ekkatuthangal branch in chennai and so i dont have to worry about my payment. One day i visited the branch and enquired and found out that no one as such works there. An employee of the branch even spoke to gokul on call and enquired his reporting agency, got all his details and verified. The employee asked me to come a week later and collect the payment. On visiting after a week, the employees said that they are not responsible and asked me to visit chennai head office. I even went and complained there and its been 3 weeks and there is no response. I have been complaining to airtel customer care, complaint helpline and nodal office for the past two months. They just reply me the same message "sorry for the inconvenience sir, i am handling this issue personally and i promise to resolve this issue... Please give me 72hrs time". And its been 2 months and about 5 people have said me the same dialogue. I request airtel to please solve this issue immediately and give me a refund or atleast a broadband connection immediately without any further delay.
