Airtel — Sim Card (Used for 10years) suddenly barred for no reason - complete negligence | |
The issue that I have experienced was: I've been using this airtel number for more than 10 years now. Suddenly, around Nov 14 2020 my sim card has been completely barred without any valid reason. Couple of days before that I made a recharge for Rs 558 (3GB/Day, Unlimited Calls) plan. After a long usual struggle of reaching airtel customer care (in other's phone), I was informed that my number is barred and they don't know the valid reason. Customer care representative asked me to go to the airtel office in person. Hence on 17th Nov, I enquired about my case in airtel office and the reason I was given is 'It’s a rare case and sometimes it happens. There is no reason specified for disconnection as per the system and my balance on the sim would be lost. The only resolution is to reinitiate the new connection with the same number. This, I should follow up consistently for no fault of mine (and every fault of Airtel), while Airtel personnel will continue to neglect me and push me from one pillar to another. To add to all these woes, for the past 3 days I've been trying to get a new connection by visiting the Airtel Office. However, they themselves are stuck and having problems in initiating my request itself due to technical issues. They have told me that porting my number to another provider is also not possible since the sim is not active. They've left me clueless on how to proceed. Airtel to provide me a new sim or reactivate my sim with my previous balance without any further delay I look forward to Airtel's prompt response on this matter.
