Airtel — sim lost and new sim not activated

I lost my phone along SIM with phone number [protected]
So I applied for a new SIM with same number and installed it in my new phone yesterday at 4 pm
But my SIM is not yet activated even after 24 hours.
I have been a privileged customer paying my postpaid bills regularly but now I am dissatisfied that nobody is helping me to activate my new SIM of same number [protected]

Kindly help me out to activate my new SIM at the earliest so that my old SIM in my lost phone will get deactivated. Otherwise I have to face the risk of somebody misusing my phone number which I lost
Please help me at the earliest.
My alternate number is my husband's number [protected].

I have a compliant against airtel SMS service, Whenever i try to send any message from my airtel sim it will showing an error "Failed to sent sms ".Just because of this i was facing so many problem daily .
