[Resolved]  Airtel — Unethical behaviour with false details on Broadband connection

I enquired for Airtel broadband feasibility in my Area on 29th July 2016 for which I was informed that feasibility is there and they will send executive to collect documents. I have provided the requested documents on the same day itself along with Rs. 1000 cash as Installation charges.

I have received an SMS confirmation on 31st July 2016 that "Documents Received against Fixedline account no [protected] installation order No. 86453666. It will be processed in 3 working days.". Application Form CAP number TNPC859949.

I have not received any update on this until Today and when I checked with customer care they are informing feasibility is not available in my location and my amount will be refunded in form of check after 20 working days.

This is not acceptable as I went ahead with processing only after receiving confirmation that feasibility is there.

Same happened with me. Everytime they give same answer. You might not even get a connection. They will say that ports in your area are not available and the next line would be sorry for inconvenience.

After that once you ask for that refund of 1000 rs. They will say you have only submitted 500 and not 1000 and it would be very hard for you to get refund on this.

I am following up with appelet team of Airtel since June 6, 2016 on the same. First denied a connection, then refund that is not arriving at my account and false promises in every email.

My Fixedline Account No. [protected] that does not even exist. So I can't even connect to the manager whose number they have provided to me.

and still following up getting different reference number after every few days, but refund.


Doesn't even deserve 1 rating with such sort of experience.
Complete waste of my time and now I have to go behind to get refund. I took pain to get photocopies of requested documents and 100 times confirmed that if feasibility is there or not. Initially they said they have given many connections in near by streets so it will not be an issue.

Reason for cancellation given to me was that cable has become faulty and they are not able to rectify it. How can they not be able to rectify an issue where they have many broadband connections. Have they stopped connection for everyone in that area who are already using Airtel broadband (Claimed by Airtel).

For 10 years I have been using 4 postpaid Airtel mobile connections and still they needed all proofs from me.

This is really Absurd.Worst Customer service Service.
