[Resolved] Airtel — Wrongly charged/ Customer Service disconnecting calls | |||||
Dear Support, We have taken 2 HD DigitalTV connections on 4th Sept 2016 below are the ID numbers: [protected]-001 [protected]-003 We paid total Rs 2, 431 as informed by the Airtel sales person that will cover all costs with current month subscription fees. Please provide us details with the balance 1, 516. When we called customer service & spoke to 3 different persons but each time they disconnected & their names were: 1) Mr. Tripathy @ approx 5-6 pm on 28th Oct 2) Mr Jagdish (supervisor) @ 6-7 pm on 28th Oct Even if the above 2 employees say that the call got disconnected from our side which most likely culprits lie, we as customers expect a callback on our mobile to ensure the issue is resolved. But on the contrary each time we made a call the previous person never knew what we talking about! (Consumer Ombudsman treat this as failure in Quality parameter under ISO certification) We finally spoke to the 4th person & we would like to ensure the below requests have been updated on our both accounts: 1) Downgrade to Basic Plan on 1st connection & HD Plan on 2nd connection with total monthly rental of 669 2) NO Easy recharge plan wherein we want to only make 1 single payment every month & not 2-3 payment in break up. The point 2 wherein we were getting every 15 days SMS for payments in break up & if we do not pay by a certain time services were getting disconnected. We treat this as a harassment for which my mother who is 65 had to run errands to an agent to make the payments as per the SMS. The complaint has been already booked under the Indian Consumer Complaints Forum for which we have been told to wait for response from Airtel to settle this matter amicably. There is a suggestion to make available more Airtel run payment processing centers rather than using 3rd party services for which we expect a swift action in this regard.
