Airtel — Wrongly charged for roaming services, now Airtel is denying | |||
I am Upma Chandra user of Airtel postpaid number [protected] (Delhi circle). On 15th Feb 2014, I asked the Customer Care to activate International Roaming (as I was travelling to Indonesia) on my phone. At that time, the outgoing call rate to India were in range from 80-150 (Max was 150), the rate varies for each operator.There at every hour I used to get SMS (even when I was not using the phone) that my credit limit has been increased. At the end of the month, I got a whopping bill of 6170 INR, where rates as 215 INR per minute were charged to me for making calls to India. I don't understand why they are not charging me as per the rates prevelant at that time when I used the services. I tried reaching customer care folks, but they are hardly understanding. I registered a complaint no 55551610 and got a call back from Airtel, where the guy after listening to my problem said he'd get back again. But It did not happend. I again called the Customer care referring my complaint no. They said "Mam your problem has been resolved, your bill is just fine". How come they mis charge like this and how come they react to my complaint and close it without acknowledging me. I haven't paid the bill yet and now the due date has already been passed due to their delay in response. I want Airtel to recalculate the bill as per earlier rates.
