Akbar Travels — non refund of money for failed air ticket booking | |
I was booking air travel ticket from bagdogra to delhi for my wife's travel. The booking was being done on 19 oct 2019. After completing the booking a message appeared on their website that the booking has not yet been confirmed because these are special fares and it takes half an hour to confirm the booking. (Screen shot of the message attached). Thereafter i got an email from them that the booking has failed and they have started the process of refund and it would take 2-5 days to get the refund. As i had done this transaction through google pay, i was expecting the refund also through google pay. However, they have been insisting on sharing my personal details like account number, copy of cancelled cheque, front page of my passport and id proof. I do not want to share these details with them as they can be misused and there have been lot of feedbacks on personal details being misused. May i therefore request you to arrange a refund of my money for the failed booking through google pay itself. Was this information helpful? | |
Akbar Travels customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Verified Support Nov 02, 2019 Akbar Travels Customer Care's response Dear Sir/Madam, AT[protected] This is in regards to above ref no. for which transaction is perform in special fare wherein it is already mentioned on our website that it is special fare and need to call us before booking the ticket. Due to seat sold out booking was reverted back and same was intimated to customer through email. Passenger has done the payment through Google pay (TEZ Payment) due to this mode of payment bank details of the card holder is required and has to process refund manually because auto reversal is not possible.
