Akosha.com — UPI transaction Fraud

I have done a transaction on 27th Sep 2022 from my Citibank account using Gpay, to a Merchant at Mumbai of INR 25960. The amount got debited from my account but not credited to the Merchant. We realised it after a week post merchant did account reconciliation. And i had to repayment

I have been following up with Citibank ever since but did not get any conclusive response till date. They simply kept me waiting. Only information they got is the amount was credited to Axis bank (which is not the merchant bank) on 1st November. My merchant has shared the transaction statement and there we could find no such settlement.

Now when Axis and Citi has merged and things should have been easier to settle i get no support from the bank.

The aforementioned amount matters to me and want to get it back as it was a fraud which happened with me. I am very stressed about the fraud and its concerning me about the banks commitment to their customers account security. I would hence like to take lagal action and get my hard earned money back.

Please can you help me with?
