Amazon India — Trustworthiness of Amazon logistic department

I was in a belief that Amazon has very strong supply channel across country in India. However, I am wrong. Below is my case study – I placed order for LG 43LF540A LED TV on Amazon website with order no[protected] on 20th Dec. On 25th Dec I received message from GATI courier that delivery attempt was failed, I called GATI call center and came to know that sometimes system throws false messages so no need to worry, product will be delivered on time. The tracking system with tracking ID[protected] kept on telling that product will be delivered as expected. I did receive message from Amazon that delivery could not be made as no one was able to receive it. Please contact us to make delivery arrangements. This was strange as I did not receive any call or delivery information at all from courier office. I personally contacted the courier office and came to know that product has been requested to return to Amazon. I then called customer care but they don’t know why product was asked to return. I was eventually asked to place new order which is now costing 4k more now. Customer care has no solution for this issue. I finally had to cancel the order. There is definitely something wrong either in Courier Company or in logistic department of Amazon as I was not given valid reason for getting product back to Warehouse.
