[Resolved] Amazon India — used external hard disk product was sent from amazon twice | |||
I receive used product 'twice' from amazon seller 'appario retail pvt. Ltd., ', and 2nd time the refund was cancelled from the pick-up person, telling me 'it's a used product', as if the fault is mine. Here is the issue: I had ordered 4tb hdd on 23rd oct. After receiving the product i noticed that the back of the wd product was opened, since it was a used one, i asked for replacement. The replacement product which was received on 30th oct from the same seller, was worse: - scratches all over the hdd, - no usb cable, - seal was open on the wd package - no serial number on product piece. I am fed up of talking to customer care executives and chatting several times via the amazon india app, each and every time i call regarding the refund, i have to explain about the overall issue, but they are not noting down the issue i think, even the phone calls being recorded, and they have taken this issue very lightly, and are least bothered about their customers or the products they sell. Seller is giving out used products, and this so frustrating, when am paying from my credit card and this what i get from amazon, when something is required very urgently. I don't think i will be buying anything else from amazon india here on, for this matter. Was this information helpful? | |||

Verified Support Jan 15, 2020 Amazon India Customer Care's response Ref No. 6504We have perused the complaint received from Mr. Sharath Kumar ("Complainant") and find that he had ordered for Western Digital Elements 4TB Portable External Hard Drive (Black) Kit ("Product") vide Order ID:[protected] from the independent third party seller, i.e., Appario Retail Private Limited ("Seller") on the website: www.amazon.in ("Website") and has requested for refund of the amount paid. It is submitted that a refund for a value of Rs.7, 535.14 as requested and required by the Complainant was processed into his bank account on 19th November, 2019 vide refund reference number 072267. In case the Complainant has not received the refund in his bank account, he is requested to kindly contact the customer care department of the concerned bank. The refund has been made from the nodal account managed by the designated bank as per the RBI circular dated 24.11.2009 on operation of nodal account: https://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/NotificationUser.aspx?Mode=0&Id=5379. Further, it is submitted that our role is limited to that of an intermediary and we are not the seller/manufacturer of the products listed on our Website. The products listed on our Website are sold by independent third party sellers. In view of the above, the issue stands closed. | |||
