Hi.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from you during my visit today 25.03.2023 to the emergency CARE at Apollo Hospital, Bannerghatta Road. I found the attitude of the doctor incharge in the ward towards me to be unprofessional, unempathetic, and inappropriate.

I came in at 5am having a sharp pain in the abdomen, and non stop diarrhea and vomiting. I received the painkiller and IV immediately by the night shift doctor. In the morning, there was a handover to another doctor who I believe was in their day shift. She did not come to me, and enquire how I am feeling, rather I was left alone waiting for the reports for almost 6 hours. When my condition got bad with repeated diarrhea losing all bodily fluids, I went to the counter and enquired on what is the course of action. To which she vaguely responded after the discharge they will give me the antibiotics, and that it will start working only on the second day. I told her, I need some medication towards this non stop diarrhea and that I am feeling dehydrated. They asked me not to drink any water which would cause diarrhea. However, there was no treatment given to address the acute situation I was in, rather I was only given the IV and that too after I went and enquired. After almost 6 hours, and no active response from the doctor, I requested the nurse to call the doctor so that I could talk to her. E

All I expected was a medication to stop the diarrhea, and maybe an ORS to which it was not provided. This is a simple problem, to which the emergency CARE or specifically her could not provide me any medication at all.

I expressed to her that I feel ###, and that I am in the same condition that I was when I came into the emergency. And to which she lashed out that it is NONSENSE, and asked me to go to another hospital and I was discharged immediately.

During my appointment, I expressed my concerns about my ongoing situation. However, instead of listening to my concerns, she shouted out nonsense and showed a complete lack of empathy towards my suffering. Her incompetence and unprofessionalism are unacceptable, and I was left feeling upset and unheard. As a health official, she has a responsibility to provide compassionate and effective CARE to the patients, which she failed to do in my case.

I expect to receive an apology and some compensation since I did not receive minimum adequate CARE, and I hope that you will take the necessary steps to ensure that this type of behavior does not happen to other patients in the future.

Please be advised that if I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will be forced to take further action to address this matter.

    Booked an appointment online with Apollo hospital vanagaram branch at 1.30pm. Customer care person informed me to come 15mins early to register the patient. We did the same and registered around 1.15pm. But we were not given the appointment at 1.30pm, also they have charged consultation fee. But still we are waiting and not consulted with the doctor and time now is 3.15pm. I don't know why there is no proper response given for the delay while I check with reception. They are giving silly reason saying doctor went for lunch. We are not getting the treatment for free right, then please check and assist the patient at the earliest.

      Sorry to complain about Apollo hospital Chennai.
      1) The IPS DESK
      I went to IPS desk for information and registration, the staffs were there was very rude and have lack of knowledges
      When I went to the desk I was waiting for him to listen to me, but he was busy with his phone, playing games on his phone and talking to his friends and colleagues laughing wasting time and I was there waiting to get the registration done.
      When I told him that, please let me know where to go and which doctor should I see he said he doesn’t know I have to choose which doctor I have to see. I have no idea which department and which floor I have to go out where to go to complete the restoration.
      When I told him that this is not right, you’re here for provide us information and you are playing games on your phone and talking.
      I asked him is it allowed to use your phone while you’re working here??!
      He started arguing and shouting at me. It was very disappointing.

      2) the staffs at the counters
      They are rude too
      They take the file from my hand and kept it and said go there sit and wait
      I asked them how long I have to wait, they said they don’t know and from one contact they sent to another counter then the other count just send me the first counter I keep going from this counter to other counter from a to B to 1 to 3 then again the first counter I don’t know what’s the point of sending people around walking from here to there and wasting time I requested them please at least let me know how long I have to wait for the test and to see the doctors I want to plan like if I have to wait here for 15 minutes then in the other area half an hour, then some areas one hours or two hours it’s OK I can wait but at least I know how long I have to wait and I don’t know what’s the point of walking around like I said from first counter to saying, and when I went to the second counter, they said no go to the third counter. I went to the third counter they said no please go to the first counter, when I went to the first counter, they said no it’s third floor when I went to the third-floor they said no it’s first floor. what’s wrong I don’t know.
      I am very disappointed
      I came from USA (the patient is my sister)
      Before coming here, I searched on Google and I asked many friends of mine They are from India.
      They said Apple hospital Chennai is the best in the world for the treatment and their service as far as I noticed, it is the worst in the world

        My dad has meningioma operated four times, also cobalt radiation but every time there was a recurrence seen after 6 yrs .We went to Apollo proton centre, Chennai for opinion. They did the surgery in jan 22 costing us 5lac 50 thousand and radiation in feb and march 2022 proton radiation of 25lac 50 thousand rupees.Recurrence started after six month.My dad did not have relief for a single day after proton radiotherapy. He had pain at site and sleep distrubance. No one in my family slept at night for a month. We went for a second opinion... the doctor said " tumor has become more aggressive".Following which did consultation at apollo Chennai . They said their is nothing much we can do and just gave up. He was the same doctor who convinced us to go for proton therapy and assured us that my dad won't have similar problem in near future(13yrs).And now when he is having a recurrence he didn't even wanted to try. My dad was in a good condition then, he could walk by himself, take care of himself. The doctor didn't even bother to offer him a palliative surgery. It was another doctor at Apollo who offered us surgery. The estimate given for the surgery was as follows:
        1) Surgery with partial thickness graft-3.5 lac
        2) Surgery with full thickness graft- 6.5lac
        Since my dad has ulceration at the surgical site and history of Radiotherapy twice, we will have to go for option 2. Already we are burdened with loan which we took for proton therapy and they are expecting us to pay this larger amount. After Radiation when the recurrence was detected, doctor from Apollo hospital adviced us to take Bevacizumab injection every 21 days. Each injection costed 15k and we took 5 injection till date.The doctor also said that we will have to stay in Chennai for atleast 10 days following the surgery which will add to our economic debts.
        We asked them to consider these things but we haven't received any response from Apollo Chennai.
        My dad need the surgery as soon as possible. Please help us fight for our rights.
        We really don't have money now.

        We had a discussion with the patient's daughter, Sunanda Maware. She wrote the letter to get financial assistance for second surgery, but during those days of making the decision for second surgery, Dr. Roopesh Kumar, the primary surgeon who operated her father, was moved to MGM. And she is not willing to undergo surgery at APCC without Dr. Roopesh; after discussion with Dr. Rakesh Jalali, she made the decision to move MGM for further treatment.
        Therefore, the case is closed from our end.

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          This is to inform you that the patient Mrs Mridula Das (AHLGIP23906) was fifth time pregnant (including Twice Post Cesarean Section & Twice Abortion) presented with Bleeding P/V since one month following history of abortifacient drug ingestion over the counter on 27/01/2023. The patient got admitted on emergency basis at 9:27PM on 27/02/2023 during off duty hours of Hospital TPA Desk and initial intimation was sent on 12:45PM on the next day i.e. 28/02/2023. A query was raised after initial intimation which was replied at 6:18PM on the same day. The case was denied for the first time by the insurance company after the said query reply saying the patient is stable. According to treating doctor the diagnosis was under evaluation till the moment of query reply and he was waiting for the Ultrasound report to diagnose the exact cause of bleeding P/V. But he replied the query and filled the initial intimation form, since the attendant was asking repeatedly to the TPA counter and nursing staff on duty. The USG-TVS report suggestive of Retained Product of Conception (RPOC) for which the patient underwent Suction and Evacuation under GA on 01/03/2023. We sent request for reconsideration of the cashless claim at 10:32AM & 3:45PM on 01/03/2023 with all the documents supporting the diagnosis and treatment but denied both times. At last final hospital bill and discharge summary was also sent as final reconsideration at around 7:59PM on the same day i.e. 01/03/2023 after closure of TPA department which was followed up from home by the TPA staffs. The final denial was received at 8:40PM on 01/03/2023 with the denial remark as "Third maternity related charges are not covered as per policy terms hence cashless denied". The hospital TPA team already explained this condition to the attendant of the patient who was an employee of ERIS LIFE SCIENCES during morning hours on 28/02/2023 and advised him to discuss with his corporate HR Team regarding this clause of their policy. During this 48 hours of hospitalization of this patient our TPA Team took written reply from treating doctor thrice, sent documents to her insurance company five times and did follow up with insurance company many times even they worked during their off duty hours and most importantly attendant counselling was done almost 20times including phone calls.

          Moreover the attendant of the patient asked several times about the mail body format of communication mails sent by claim book where only patient details reflects (mail copy enclosed), though this question was never raised by any insurance company since they see mainly attachments of the mail for processing of the claims but according to attendant this type of communication will never get approved for cashless. We explained him that this is a system generated mail from our software claim book and Insurance companies only sees the attachments of the mails not the mail body, but he never accepted. It seems his corporate HR team also did not explained him properly about the coverage of his policy neither his insurance company did, so the attendant still believes our communications were not fit for cashless approval, where as his case was denied due to "Third maternity related charges are not covered as per policy terms hence cashless denied".

                  Worst patient care. We pay lakhs here but in return we received worst care. The mom and child were thrown to general ward immediately after delivery how cruel they are. Babies are getting infected due to this kind of action. Worst employees.

                    It takes worst care for patient in delivery wards immediately after delivery the management is ready to throw the mother and child to general ward how cruel. This is the worst hospital I have ever seen. They are here only for business we are paying lakhs here but in return we get the worst care and even babies are getting infection because o[censored]n hygiene. It's better to visit GH comparing to this Apollo first med in kilpauk.

                      My wife the patient was admitted to Apollo, Navi Mumbai on 4th of February, 2023 around 10.00 pm due to certain neurological complaints.

                      The services and Healthcare are absolutely pathetic. No one bothers to communicate what is the diagnosis, what is the mode of treatment etc. Suddenly at certain intervals, the nursing staff comes and gives insulin, asks to be taken for a 2D echo cardiogram etc. What's the reason to give insulin, why is a 2D echocardiogram being taken, nothing - absolutely no information.

                      A cardiologist comes for a visit, does not even bother to see the patient or talk to her. While she is in the washroom, this so called cardiologist comes asks some questions to the bystander who is a young boy and walks off registering his visit. So it is very clear this was only to increase the billing. Duty doctors simply don't visit the patient and prescribe medicines sitting wherever they are enjoying their time. No botheration for either consequences or patient's condition.

                      The so called dietician never bothers to get in touch with the patient to check her routine, preferences etc. Some crappy inedible food is delivered which she can't eat. So on what basis was this food prepared and sent..? No answers. Even after complaining, the food remains the same inedible assortment of a few curries and rice, while time.and again she had informed that she can't eat rice.

                      When admitting, I was shown the menu card of charges. Overall, the likely charges for a day could not have been more than Rs. 12000. However the billing clerk, whose attitude was.more of a bad debts collector, wanted me to deposit Rs. 75000. When I argued a bit he dropped the demand to Rs. 50, 000. So it is clear that these kind of charges are levied on a purely arbitrary basis without any rationale.

                      Overall services of professional staff is pathetic and services are just below par for a hospital of this repute. You are not a patient foe them, you are just another fat goose who needs to be cut up for money. It's a money heartless making machine than a hospital.

                      The nursing staff, however, needs to be congratulated as an exception. They seem to be the only bright line in this heartless money minting machine called a hospital

                          I got a text message on 21/01/23 that I got shortlisted for the interview as lab technician. To attend the interview on 30 0r 31 Jan, I need to register on 21st Jan to register I need to pay 1790 +gst, etc a total of 2937. Before I pay I asked HR 1790 is correct. He said yes.                           My baby deliza mahajan 10 months old got admitted in apollo hospital amritsar for chest infection .but doctors ankush khanna and nursing staff were only interested in making they were not concered about child .Even after treating child for five days they could nt cure her even 1% .Moreover they kept babt in icu for 2 days in which there was no nursing staff.behaviour of staff was so rude .Dr ankush khanna treated child with steroids which had such a adverse side effects on child . Moreover dr was interested in making money doing eco for child getting specialist from other hospital and giving baby injections which were very costly .after looking at all this when we decided to discharge medical supervisor was so rude with us they told us to pay immediately even though we had insurance .they said we will give you insurance money back after six days we need money now .hospital supervisor harpreet was very very rude i need strict action against apollo hospital Amritsar Immediately

                            Sir,

                            I consulted a doctor at Apollo main hospital and got prescription for lab test on[protected]. A SMS came from Apollo which had all priscribed test in the link. With item select and deselect option. I deselected some tests and paid 7610 for some important tests

                            When I enquired at hospital for tests they rudely replied no amount reflected in their system, replied it will refund in few days and made me to pay the bills

                              After consultation with Srinivasan, he adviced me to admit the doctor for OT in the early morning of 27th December and asked me to deposit Rs. 10, 000/- and I agreed and deposited Rs. 10, 000/- and when I took my patient for OT early morning at around 5.00 am as adviced by Dr. Srinivasan Paramasivam and when I reached the hospital and visited the Mezzanine Block for completing the admission procedure, the person who was in charge told me to wait for sometime as the assistant of Srinivasan will be visiting me and so I waited their for around 15 minutes but when I feel that no one was approaching, I went to the admission counter and asked then he informed me that biopsy performing machine is not functioning hence OT won't be possible so he asked us to go back.

                              Then, I changed my mind for not doing any treatment at Apollo Hospital, Chennai for their unprofessionalism and asked me to perform useless test which are not at all required moreover, the anaesthesia doctor confirmed us that Echo is not required but when I visited the Cardiology doctor Mr. Jain, he adviced us to do echo (which was of no use and just for increasing the bill amount).

                              Lastly, I will adviced other people not to choose Apollo Hospitals for treatment as they only know how to increase hospital bills. Their treatment is just horrible and the responsiveness is the most I didn't liked at all. Apollo Chennai is just a horrible hospitals with no good doctors except thieves.

                              Then after that on 28th December I visited the Mezzanine Block of the hospital for refund of my deposited amount and they told me that, the concerned doctor should provide a remark for refund of the amount, then only they can provide the refund. After that, I again visited the Atrium 4 for the remark and the assistant informed me that the doctor is on leave for three days i.e. 29th, 30th & 31st of December.

                              Now the most tricky one to know whether the concerned doctor is on leave or not. So, to find this yesterday at around 4.00 pm, I booked an appointment for Dr. Srinivasan for 30th December and my appointment slot is at 12.30 pm today. Look how horrible and how they cheated me and how they are cheating others. I have all the recordings and text messages that I received from the Apollo Hospital Chennai regarding my appointment with Dr. Srinivasan.

                                  I only heard about the bad services of Apollo before, but finally I faced that ### too.
                                  Lot of things happened in 2 days. I didn't say anything to them. I paid the bills and chose to leave such unprofessional environment. Consider this as my frustration, for which I'm not in a state to explain.

                                  In short, requesting all of you, never ever choose to visit Apollo, Bhubaneswar for treatment.
