[Resolved]  Asian Paints — putting of wrong color in wall painting, stopping of work and non completion of work.

On 25.09. 2018 I made a request on toll free no, [protected] of the Company for making wall paintings in walls of my house. Person told me that request has been taken and Company' representative will call you in 24 hours. But nobody called till 1.10.18.
I then searched for local office of Company at Jabalpur and got the number[protected]. One Mr. Gulab received the call and gave me the no. ([protected]) of Mr. Ankur Agrawal of Asian Paints. He gave me the no. of Mr. Sunny the Painter. Both came to my house and I told them my requirements. I selected the design and also showed the color which was color of my curtains, cushions etc. Mr. Agrawal also took the measurements of walls and finalised the rates for entire work.
It took 3-4 days for the painter to start the work. He brought some other assistant whose workmanship was poor. when Painter made wall painting on one wall he put some other color which was not selected by us . We objected also during work but painter told that when painting will be dry and complete then it will be alright. But after completion, painting and design was hardly visible and also workmanship was very poor.
We asked the painter that why he has put the wrong color and now he should remade the painting with our earlier selected color. But he refused. We then informed Ankur Agrawal who came after two days and after long discussion Agrawal and Painter agreed to remade the painting provided I pay for extra labour. This I agreed but new paint cost was to be borne by the Painter. This was on 11.10.
After that painter is not lifting the phone at all. Once he lifted the phone he told that the desired paint is not available, he has placed the order and when it will come, he will come. Since then he is not lifting the phone though six days have passed. When I tried to contact Mr. Agrawal, he did not lift the phone for two days. When he lifted the phone, he said he is too busy, he can't follow up with Painter as work contract was between me and Painter and Asian Paints is not involved in it.
This is the attitude of Asian Paints employees. Work was explained to Asian Paints man, he brought the Painter, he fixed the rates for the work, material was purchased from Asian paints Dealer and now Mr. Agrawal says that Asian Paints is not involved in this work.
Now six days have passed since stoppage of work, my Drawing room furniture is kept in Portico, my car is kept on the road in open and neither the Painter nor Mr. Agrawal is lifting the phone. My Drawing Room furniture is kept in the portico and my car is kept on the road in open. It is also pertinent to mention here that 50% cost pf work has already been paid to the Painter when he brought the materials on first day.
I therefore request that my wall painting work be completed with selected designs, colors immediately with quality workmanship and I be paid suitable compensation by M/s Asian Paints for the harrasment, inconvenience, hardships, mental tension faced by us as this is a case of breach of contract as well as deficiency in service.
