Hello Sir
This is in reference to the ECS NACH transaction fees charged by Axis Bank.
I noticed these charges being applied in every month's consolidated charges.
It is always 25 rs and going through my bank account statement for the last
1 year I found that these charges are applied since November 2020.
As I have enabled ECS payment for Mutual Funds SIP from ClearTax ELSS scheme
in November 2020. Since that time I am being charged 25 rs i.e. ECS NACH fee
per transaction.
As this is a Mutual Fund payment it should not be charged according to
Axis Bank revised fees and charges.
I have already discussed this with the Axis Bank's customer care and they
raised a request (no.[protected] to refund this amount i.e. 25 rs from November
2020 till June 20201, totally 200 rs. But they did not refund yet. Instead
they sent a strange reply in email as I quote below;
"We understand that you wish to enquire about charges levied in your account
and you want the Clarification on the same"
I sent a reply to that email to clarify that I was not requesting this
information instead I was requesting for refund of incorrect charges. I also
explained that my ECS payments are for ClearTax ELSS Mutual Funds SIP.
But they did not reply back yet. It is very difficult to contact Axis Bank
customer care.
On searching online I found one complaint similar to mine.
https://www.consumercomplaints.in/axis-bank-nachecs-charges-c2839447
I agree with this complaint saying these charges are a big scam. Axis bank
also does not mention exactly which transaction was charged.
Please let me know if any more information is needed.
