[Resolved]  Axis Bank — salary account closure

I had unfortunately opted to open a salary account at axis bank, infosys branch, trivandrum during first week (3rd or 4th) of september. After the account activation confirmation message was received on my mobile number, following were the issues with the account and i had visited the home branch and informed them these 3 issues:
Issue 1. Unable to activate the debit card:
As per the instructions i had tried to activate the debit card via axis bank atm. But there was some technical issue and i could not activate my debit card.. Error message shown on atm was 'date of birth mismatch'.

Issue 2. Unable to register for internet banking:
When i tried to register using the customer id on new user registration page, the error message shown was 'user does not have any relation with the bank'.

Issue 3. Unable to register for mobile banking via axis mobile app
I was told by the bank official that

For issue 1, i had to follow up several times via phone and even i had to visit the branch most of the days to check on the status of the issue. After weeks of follow up, finally the issue was resolved and i could activate the debit card on 26/09/2018.

Issue 2 and 3 still remain unresolved even after multiple follow ups.
Hence i decided to close this account. When i visited the branch to close the account, the bank officials are not helping even in this matter. They are not resolving customer issues and they cant even help to close the account.

The bank official was being very rude because i had decided to close the account and he told me that the account will get automatically closed when it is inactive for a minimum of 3months. But this does not seem to be correct. If salary is not credited to the salary account with axis bank, it gets automatically converted to normal savings account which is not a zero balance account and i will be liable to pay penalties for non maintenance of minimum balance.
The bank officials are trying to misguide the customer and make them believe that the account will automatically get closed, whereas this is not true.
I request strict actions to be taken against the bank officials for such improper and misguiding techniques they use to make customer pay penalties after moths for a non operative account. If a customer requests to close the account, they should be ideally providing the account closure form or at least do the needful to process the customer's request.

Axis bank does not care about a customer and has the worst customer service i have ever experienced.

Does this Axis Bank have a proper customer care number when we can talk to a customer care representative to get some guidance regarding the account. All the customer care number available on internet are just having IVR options.
And there has been no response to my complaint till now. I asked for the official mail id to provide my registered mobile number and then there is no response at all.

Hi,

This complaint is not yet resolved. The account has not been closed by Axis bank till date.
How can they mark the complaint as resolved without proper resolution?

I have not been using this account till date and it is still active.

I'm not receiving statement till date
Every month amount is incresing
Last month I have paid 10000.
We don't have swipe credit card last around 5 month. Every month amount is increased

I had submitted savings account closure form as well as the debit card and the cheque book to the branch, still my account is active with charges levied on it which i am not responsible to pay.
