Bajaj Auto — worst experience of bajaj avenger 160

I had bought bajaj avenger 160 bike in month of may 2019. But after that i have faced many problems in the bike.

1.) june 2019: i did the first servicing. After the first servicing, the bike broke down after driving for about 8-10 kms and while starting it again with start button the bike never started. I had to push start the bike with someone else’s help. I contacted sai service agency bajaj service center located at midc andheri east. I spoke to the manager mr. Suraj about this. Just by looking at the bike they told me this issue is because i have installed petrol lock as a safety measure to avoid petrol theft. The reason they gave me was totally illogical but still just because they were stuck on saying that, i removed the petrol lock.

I left the service center, just after driving 2-3 km the bike again broke down, bike was not starting so i called up mr. Suraj and told him the bike has again broke down. He said he will send his mechanic to the spot. The mechanic came and did their troubleshooting but that didn’t work so he pushed the bike to the workshop again and after that they told me that i should leave my bike at their workshop for 5-6 days so that they will test and observe the issue. After few days they called me up and said “the device which helps to keep the battery charged is faulty and has to be replaced”. The part replaced is “regulator console tell-tale”. At the same time petrol tank indicator was also having issue so they replaced that too “speedo sensor”.

After all this the bike was working fine.

2.) december 2019:

After the 2nd servicing, again i faced the same issue. Just on the second day of servicing the bike again broke down after driving for almost 20 kms. I was terribly annoyed of this. It wasn’t a used bike that i had bought. I had bought a brand new bike and all i could experience is ask some help on road to push the bike for me to start the vehicle. I had spent the money to dhakka start the bike from a brand like bajaj.

After all this harassment, i contacted the shop from where i had bought the bike just to take any suggestion if he can. He told me to show the bike to another service center which is located at kanchpada malad “executive bajaj malad service centre”. So i took my bike to the kanchpada center and there they told me that all bajaj avenger 160 has faulty part due to which bike is having this issue. And he also told me that they have got email from head office that any avenger 160 which comes to them, they should replace that part. He also told that just today they replaced of 2 other avenger. And now the product isn’t available in the stock so they ordered the part and said he will call me once it is reached the center. The part which was faulty as informed to me is “roller kit one way”. After a week they called and said the part is now available. So, i went to the service center again for replacing the faulty part, they asked me to keep the bike there and come back later.in the evening i went for receiving the bike. They first told me that part is replaced and now i won’t face any issue. I asked him to show me the faulty part that was been changed. Then the mechanic started telling me that we didn’t change any part. We just removed the excess grease and put back the same part. I got irritated as this was heights. Then the manager of center came up to me and he told me another story. He said there is no such faulty part in avenger 160 and the supervisor must have by mistakenly said it to you. I could clearly sense that he was just trying to cover it up. There is no synchronization between the manager, the supervisor and the mechanic. If manager was saying the truth, then which were the other 2 avengers that the supervisor told me that he replaced the part before? What part did he ordered and ask me to wait for a week to receive it? Why did the supervisor lie saying that they got a mail from the head to replace the faulty part of all avengers? Why the manager had another story to tell me?

3.) after a few days now i’m seeing the battery indicator glowing at time of accelerating and it stops glowing when i release the accelerator. I have informed to service center they are saying its normal... But that’s not normal. If it was normal why wasn’t i seeing these in past 6 months? Why only now?

4.) another issue that i’m facing is, while applying the front break some abnormal sound comes but the service center supervisor tells he can’t hear any abnormal sound, so i recorded the same in mobile and hear the audio but still he says there is no any abnormal sound…

It is totally a harassment. I regret buying bike from bajaj. There are many people asking feedback from me about the bike. All i can say from my experience is don’t buy this bike at all. I will never recommend any bike from bajaj to anybody. One will face issues one after other continuously and you will never get satisfying service from the service center as well.

I also doubt it sometimes, that i must have got a fault bike while buying only because since the time i have bought it all i could get in return is a big disappointment!

Still the issue is not solved... it seems like Bajaj service center doesn't care for customers...

I have visited Bajaj service center on 27th Jan 2020 for bike issue which is mentioned in above. The mechanic checked and found some issue with the bike which don't seem to be normal. After supervision the mechanic told me that for further diagnosis they have to check the wiring of the bike but for that the spare wiring was not available. So they told me that they need to order the wiring and it will take a few days time. After 1 week on 4th Feb 2020 I upfrontly called up the manager of Malad Service center and asked for the update of the order(wiring). Today, its been 15 days that i haven't received a single call of concern even. No update at all. Seems like no is bothered about a customer.

I would like to know who is supposed to keep me updated? I believe, if genuinely the part is still not received to the workshop, i should atleast get a single call of concern from your end as well. As i have already escalated this case to the higher team, so with that i think it should be a priority case aswell. But least is anyone bothered.

All I have experienced with Bajaj Avenger is embarrassment. Anytime in middle of the road i have to Dhakka start a brand new Avenger.

On 10/1/2020 Rs3616 was deducted from my account with transaction detail as CMS/[protected]/BAJAJ_CD_19054888 which is totally unkown to me as I have no such connection with BAJAJ.
