[Resolved]  Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation [BMTC] — missed flight owing to driver taking bus late

I had the misfortune of taking the vayu vajra service on the 9th of october to reach the airport for my flight at 615 am. I reached the bmtc majestic stand for the bus and got the information that the kias 9 service from majestic to airport is at 4:25 am. (The bus schedules board also confirmed the same) believing that the driver will take the bus on time and that there will be no traffic in the early morning hours, i risked taking this bus.

The bus arrived at the stand at 410 am and we passengers to kial got in. 20 minutes passed and the driver had no intention of taking the bus. Many passengers, including me pleaded and he paid no heed. Finally he started the bus at 445 (Which was supposed to leave majestic at 425 am) and by the time he took the bus out of majestic it was 500 am. He was driving the bus like a cart. Taking the bus through every service road possible (I never knew kias 9 service went through every inner areas possible cos i have seen the other kias services taking the express way) and he was disgrace to his profession and had no slightest consideration to the passengers. Finally he reached the airport at 550 am and as we feared the worst, the gates were closed and we denied entry as we were late for the flight.

Only if the driver had taken the bus on time i would not have missed my flight. Thanks to the lethargy and total disregard to the customer i feel ashamed to write this - take the public service at your own risk. Bmtc failed me and other customers. Being not on time should be the right slogan for bmtc.

I had to book another flight ticket paying double the price. Thanks to the inefficiency of a government sector undertaking concern.
