[Resolved]  ICICI Bank - Bund Garden Pune — NOT CLOSING MY NRE ACCOUNT

I have been banking with ICICI bank since 2001, having my NRE Account[protected], NRO[protected].

In the year 2009, when I approached ICICI Bank for opening DEMAT ACCOUNT, I was suggested to open SB Account, instead of linking DEMAT Account with NRE/NRO. The bank also took me the Voter ID, as the proof of residency, as my Passport copy was being used against NRO.

I had NRE FD and RD, along with few MUTUAL FUND investments.

I reported this to ICICI Bank BUND GARDEN branch (Pune) and requested for the change of bank account numbers for these Mutual Funds, and accordingly to close my NRE Account.

Though they have closed my FD and RD on the 31 October 2012, my NRE Account is still not closed.

I have been constantly following up with various bank personnel. Sending SMS, Sending Emails, and seeking desperate help to get my Mutual Fund account numbers changed and also get my NRE account closed.

Despite of my several follow-ups and reminders, its been months. But I dont see any action happening from ICICI Bank.

I reminded/followed up with Ms.Sneha Mutot (Bund Garden Branch), Ms.Asavari Patankar (Bund Garden Branch) - On several occasions. But they neither have will nor any Accountability.

Then I wrote to Customer Care, Marking Mrs.Chanda Kochar. Sadly - I dont see any difference as well.

Despite of me following up with ICICI Bank several times, and see no action from ICICI Bank, I will opt to close the below services;

1. Closure of my Banking with ICICI Bank (Includes my Salary Account).
2. Closure of my Bank Loacker
3. Closure of my DEMAT Account with ICICI Bank
4. Closure of my CREDIT CARD with ICICI Bank
5. Closure of all my Investments with ICICI Bank
6. Closure of my Home Loan with ICICI Bank

NOTE: All these are caused due to the DISGUSTING/PATHETIC SERVICE Standard of ICICI Bank BUND GARDEN branch and NO ACCOUNTABLE APPROACH BY Mrs.Asavari Patankar.

Pending Issue 1.
Subject: Closure of NRI account
Details: I had visited ICICI Bund Garden Branch on 31 Oct 2012 and signed the required documents for the closure of NRI account[protected]Mira Road Branch)
Action by ICICI: They closed my FD and RD promptly without any interest.
Pending: Closure of NRI account
Last update/status: Unknown/Uncertain as usual
Reasons for pending: Only God knows

Pending Issue 2.
Subject: Closure of NRO account
Details: I had visited ICICI Bund Garden Branch on 31 Oct 2012 and signed the required documents for the closure of NRO account[protected]Mira Road Branch)
Action by ICICI: Transfer of the fund to my SB account (After 4 SMS/Calls and follow-ups) on the 7th Nov 2012
Pending: Closure of NRO account
Last update/status: Unknown/Uncertain as usual

Pending Issue 3.
Subject: I still dont know who is the person I can rely (If there is anyone)
Details: No ownership in home-loan disbursement (This Dept makes me feel like HEADLESS CHICKEN). Each time a new person is assigned to me as the SPOC, but when I truly need help, he/she has list of excuses NOT to comply. Making me in the same 'Helpless' situation.
Last update/status: I was taken into a conference call by Mr.Anand Dharmadhikari and Mr.Prateik. After a long telephonic conversation, I was assured few things;
a. I was told that I would be getting the discussed action points - This never happened sofar.
b. I was to communicate to Mr.Dharmadhikari/Ms.Patankar once I get any communication from the builder, so that ICICI Bank can arrange collect the Demand Letter and they ensure to make the payment, followed by a prompt communication is being sent. [In reality - this is miles away, I am sure people have forgotten about it already]

I wonder if I can expect a solution to address the above issues? If someone could reply to me with realistic dates? (Non-moving).

Neha Manjrekar did follow up, but sadly (Like Indian Counrt dates) - all she could do was to give a fresh date, (She did this 4 times since Nov 3), but the current status is - Other than DATE, I didnt see any CHANGE.
