[Resolved]  Be10x — Not given a refund for their course

On the 27th I had enrolled and participated in the Be10x introductory workshop (which I had to pay a very small amount of Rs 10.74) which was decently good and value for money. At the end of this session they floated a program for 6 months and pegged it at 28k + as an early bird offer.
They wouldnt share the dates or details as I tried to ask for the dates on chat - but only kept highlighting that there was an early bird and you had book immediately as they were only offering 30 seats. So I booked with the early bird booking price of 4838. Immediately after the session I received several calls from their team asking me to use my credit card to pay 7 EMIS before the orientation. However the dates were not suitable and I expressed that I would not be able to attend for the next two months. They just tried to push me to attend their orientation the next day which I dd and here it was clearly said that they would do the sessions live every saturday and sunday for 2 hours and then daily there was a live Q&A for doubt clearing. Post this I immediately told the person I was speaking to that I was unable to join for two months so to please refund my money. They kept trying to convince me not to take a refund but to reserve my seat and do it later. I expressed that two months was a long time and also every saturday sunday commitment for 6 months was not really feasible for me. So I would like my money refunded. However, after several converations and me sticking to my need for the refund - I received a mail from them with this reply:

Regarding the refund of ₹4, 838 — your booking amount — we’d like to clarify that you were enrolled under our first 30 Early Bird slots, which are confirmed by advance commitments. For these reserved seats, we’ve already incurred costs such as:

✅ Instructor and mentor fees

✅ GST and platform charges

✅ Content creation and delivery setup

✅ Access to high-quality learning resources and LMS setup

As a result, we are unable to issue a refund for this booking.

I got my refund - They first called me and the genteman on the other line agreed to give me a refund. A few days later he called again and sent me the screenshot of the refund. I waited till the money came in to the account, to update on this site.

Please take this forward as i have a feeling they are a scam because any credible source would refund someones money if they wish to opt out of a program before the program has even started.
