[Resolved]  Bharti Airtel — Airtel 4G, Pathetic service and cheating customer care

Dear Friends, Airtel 4G customer service and customer care is pathetic. These people have no ethics and are out to cheat people of their hard earned money with such pathetic service. I took an Airtel 4G connection with number, [protected]. From the first day itself connection was pathetic. The dongle used to disconnect once in a while saying "Not Registered". I had ti bear it for few months as connection was unreliable. It may or may not connect to the network, if not, NOT REGISTERED message. Speeds were pathetic, not even close to 3G, let alone 4G. For the price i had to pay, i was getting 2G services from Airtel. Finally by Early August, date - 5th(last time i used the dongle), the dongle became completely dead and was always displaying, "Not registered" message. I called up the customer care in September first week as i was busy with my marriage in August. They registered a complaint, as i remember on September 7th or 8th, either, 6426715 or 64655005. I didn't hear back anything after that. They had closed it without even informing me. I called up the customer care again on 21st September after being fed up to disconnect the dongle connection for number, [protected]. The person who took the call said the previous ticket to fix the dongle has been closed. I asked him to disconnect the dongle number. 65020189 was the ticket number. After 3 days on 24th September, i get a call from customer care saying i need to pay the bill amount 1411 for the 4G dongle. I asked them the status of my request to disconnect and they said the previous in the service request number, 65020189, the support person had mentioned to disconnect the 4G services on my postpaid mobile number, (used for calling)rather than dongle number, [protected]. Please note i have not even availed 4g services on my phone. The previous customer support person did not even care to listen the original complaint i had. They raised a new request for disconnection of my dongle number, [protected]. Now another service request number, 65113834 was raised for disconnection and said somebody will contact me. I paid the due amount of 1411 till 25th August. Remember last time i used the dongle on August 5th. After paying the bill, i called the customer service person again who told me, They would bill me till August 25th to September 24th(The date my second request to disconnect dongle was raised). I had to argue with them to mention that it was not my fault that the customer care person mistakenly(i believe purposly) wrote the disconnection of 4g services for my postpaid mobile number than dongle when i did not even have the services availed on phone. They said they will generate a bill till Sept 24th and then waiver 3 days from it, so that the bill reflects till Sept 21st. After couple of days disconnection team called me and tried to convince me saying they will fix my issue by sending a person. I said i do not need their pathetic service anymore. when i asked her how could customer care close a request without even confirming with the cusotmer, she said thats the reality and i was supposed to call another number. I asked her if you people yourselves know that the customer care is so pathetic why should us consumers stick with Airtel with such pathetic customer service. Few days later on 27th September my Airtel postpaid mobile number, (used for calling) was suspended for no reason. I could not even call anyone. I went to their relationship center where they mentioned they had suspended the service on my request(which i didn't even do). I could not even imagine how low these services could stoop to. Today i got the bill for Airtel 4g which dates till September 25th(I was promised bill till 24th and then waivered till 21st). I called up customer care and as usual those people are clueless about anything. The person told me currently, 4g number, [protected] is suspended and disconnection date is supposed to be, October 7th and i will have to pay the bill until then. I have no idea whether this is going to ever disconnect or not and i will have to keep paying the bill over and over again. My advice to people considering any of Airtel's offerings is to stay away else bear the brunt of their pathetic service. Regards, Pradeesh
