[Resolved] Bharti Airtel — Complaint Against Undue Billing for Airtel Mobile | |||
I'm Gaurvendra Verma and this note is to lodge a complaint against undue billing for my number [protected], which has been recently ported out to another service provider.I have not received any bill till date but only an SMS today mentioning the bill amount as Rs.592.Upon calling the customer care, I have been told that the bill amount is for period dated 23rd April, 14 to 18th May, 14. Actually, as per my bill plan, the monthly bill plan is Rs.149 and the bill plan for 2G mobile internet data plan is Rs 125 for 1 GB.The total amount comes to Rs 274 as fixed charges and when taxes are added the total bill comes to Rs 314.61 every month. Now the issue is that during my conversation with the Airtel customer care executive named Aamir Dalvi from Mumbai, today, I was informed that this inflated bill amount is due to another data plan that was activated for the period dated 3rd May, 14 to 18th May, 14.This plan was forcefully activated against my will on 3rd May by an executive named Shweta, who was offering me a data plan of rental Rs 199, to which I refused immediately, but after the conversation ended I got a SMS from Airtel which said"'Namaste! Update for [protected].Service updated:GPRS .effective date: 03-MAY-14.".I then contacted the customer care immediately and the executive told me that that new plan is showing as activated in her system against my number.I requested her to deactivate that plan which has been activated despite my refusal and resume my original plan, to which she told me that the original plan has been reactivated and she has also waived the undue charges if any.After the conversation with her I got the same service SMS as before.Now today I came to know that all this while I was kept in a loop and I really don't know what all plans got activated and deactivated during this period.And the most frustrating fact is that the executive Mr. Aamir kept on repeating that he could not help me in this case as my number has been ported out and neither can he send me the statement of bill, which I have not received as mentioned earlier.I then asked for a senior to talk to, to which he replied that none of the seniors' is available, which is extremely pathetic if we talk about customer service standards of our country's largest cellphone service provider. Now, one thing is clear, the charges are not as per the bill plan chosen by me originally and if your executive Shweta activates some plan without my consent then its an extremely serious issue and should be addressed in a very sincere and stringent manner.
