I placed an order for an item early in the morning, since I needed it before afternoon (It was an express delivery item). But after sometime, I got a message that the amount I paid has been refunded against my cancelled order. I didn't even receive a proper message informing me that my order has been cancelled due to certain reason. No explanation was given. Just randomly, order was cancelled. When I contacted customer care, they told that it went out of stock while processing. But when I immediately checked again, the item was still available and in-stock on the app.
Firstly, my order was cancelled without giving me any notification or explanation.
Secondly, the reason given was that item was out of stock. Then why was it still available & in-stock on the app within few minutes. It's ridiculous that it got out of stock momentarily while my order was being processed. Hard to accept this reasoning.
Thirdly, I asked if I order again, could I receive it in the same time slot. It wasn't my mistake that my order was cancelled. They cancelled it. Atleast, they could provide me the product in the same time slot upon reordering. I was told that it can't be assured and I have to pick new time slot.
The company first shows products available on the app. When a customer places order it randomly cancels the order, without giving any reason. Upon reaching out to customer care, customer is told that product went out of stock while processing. Meanwhile, the product is still available and in-stock on the app. This is how Big Basket is serving its customers. Was this information helpful? |
