Billdesk — Stop payment/withdraw/cancel/terminate my ECS (Debit) Mandate given to Just Dial. | |||
March 13, 2015 I signed a Contract on 20.02.2015 with Just Dial Limited, Pune, for publishing my paid “Computer Typing” business listing in their website ‘www.justdial.com’. I also signed an ECS Mandate (Debit) authorizing Just Dial to debit the ECS amount of Rs.1, 520/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred twenty only) on the 15th of every month effective March 2015 from my Savings Account with The Cosmos Co-op Bank Ltd., Camp Branch, Pune. My first ECS amount has not yet been debited by my bankers. I am totally dissatisfied and disappointed with the services offered by Just Dial. I signed this contract in good faith based on Just Dial’s positive assurance that once my business i.e., Computer Typing is listed/verified on Just Dial’s website I will immediately start receiving positive response/inquiries from customers resulting in sizeable business. These were false assurances as so far none of the inquiries/leads have generated any revenue for my business. In view of this, I gave instructions to my bank to immediately stop payment/withdraw/cancel/terminate my ECS (Debit) Mandate given to Just Dial. I gave these instructions to the bank before my account was debited with the first ECS amount. Since BillDesk” is the ‘Collection Service Provider/Collection Agency’ for Just Dial, my bank contacted them to terminate my ECS Mandate of Just Dial. However, they regretted their inability to terminate the Mandate without knowing my Consumer Number. BillDesk needs my Consumer Number to terminate the ECS Mandate. On contacting Just Dial, they are reluctant to part with this information and want my first ECS amount to be debited. I'm also facing the same issue my contract was only 6 months but I'm being told that the contract was signed was for 1 year and they are continually deducting my account.
