Blue Dart Express — Pathetic service for a prioritized delivery

I want to share the details of the pathetic service provided by bluedart for the delivery of dd by citibank

Due to unavoidable reasons, i had to place online dd requests to citibank a bite late relative to the turnaround time. Though citibank itself delayed the printing of dd, i requested them to expedite and prioritize the delivery by phone banking which they did. I needed the dds today (07.06.2017) at 2.30pm as i had appointment to register apartment at 3.30 pm. I think citibank guys did their job from their side. Lousy bluedart messed it up.

Bluedart gets the courier on time to bangalore. But after some time the status is changed to

Marathalli customer requested future delivery: hal 07-jun-2017 12:37

Now what the hell does this mean. I requested faster delivery not future delivery. Hal stands for hold at location. For sometime i though it hal main road.

Bluedart, can you please stop using misleading garbage language to describe the status?? Can you please follow internationally accepted conventions. Or does you ceo and management staff need english lessons??

Next i dont know which bluedart location it has arrived in. To my place both brookefield and doddanekundi hub are at equal distance. I rushed to doddanekundi hub on the basis of the misleading status to pick it up myself only to know that its at brookefield.

And when i went to brookefield, i was told its out for delivery and it will be delivered by 3pm. I said only 2.30pm will do and he went inside spoke to someone and agreed for the same.

I went back home expecting it anytime. I had to try the customer support number many times to get through and i finally obtained the delivery guy number. That number was an aircel number and the coverage was totally screwed up. After many many times of calling there was no getting through. The hub guys are totally clueless.

So finally this was what happened:

So i went to the brookefield hub at 1.15 and wanted it then and there, but they said its out for delivery and will be delivered by 2.30 and it arrives by 16.39. I cant imagine that the a customer has gone to a courier office, cant they know in that its prio 1??

After the delivery guy came i asked him cause for delay. He said traffic jam. I said i had come to the office to collect it myself. He said he knew! So this guy was inside when i came to collect at the office??? He said he was not allowed to hand over bank related things in front of the office. So he came out and was looking for me so that he can hand it over somewhere a bit far off!

He said he didn't find me around.

Now i ask some questions:

1) most important: does bluedart people understand that if a customer/consignee comes to the office to pick up, it must be prio 1??? You should have a legal obligation to hand it over immediately if it has not left the premises.

2) does bluedart employees know that they can contact the person by phone?? If you dont find a person, can you not call???

3) why does bluedart give aircel that does not have coverage???

All in all instead of making an great ontime experience and inspite of me going to their hub and requesting for the package, i was falsely assured that it would reach me on time. Bluedart brookefield is culpable for misleading assurances. This inspite of me going to their office and requesting (Is this not implicit that its very important)??

4) bluedart customer care number does not work. Bluedart website does not have a customer feedback page.

Very very bad bluedart. Just for the name a big brand. Many of the new players much better.

I wish the board of management of bluedart, especially mr. Sharad upasani would read this and know what priority means when a customer comes to the office to collect something!!!

Same happened for me.

Stuck for 3 days at the same loaction, then update comes that customer has requested future delivery.
Pathetic...

Same happened for me. I am waiting for my passport and when I tracked it down, it showed the same status, "Customer requested for future delivery: hal". I haven't even got any call from them. Then how can I request for future delivery??

This is my passport I am talking about. I am planning to travel soon. What do I do?

I literally have the same issue. I also called bluedart and asked them to deliver faster, but instead the status upon tracking got updated to customer requested future delivery hal. The bluedart employee whom i spoke to on the phone said the delivery boy didn't come today so your package will be delivered the next day. Will not ever use bluedart again. Worst experience ever.
HAL = Hold At Location
Go pick up the passport from the location you sent it from.
It's customer requested because probably when you signed some forms, they had written in the forms that your address was not in the BlueDart delivery list.
