I (Vijitha - vijtha.[protected]@gmail.com) reached out to bookmybai.com through the website and paid INR 1000 on 6Feb2025.
They promised me the service of cook and cleaning maid for monthly payment of 11, 000 INR for 4 hours of work including cooking and cleaning.
The agreed work time was between 630 to 1030 AM
They sent me profiles of various maids and we finalised one maid (Mala) who was to start 17th Feb.
A payment to the amount of INR 11, 980 on 18th Feb.
A total of INR 12980 including INR 1000 paid at the start of registering for the service. A bill was provided with the total amount of INR 12980 attached for reference.
The maid came in at 715 AM on 17th Feb but only stayed an hour and left stating she will resume work the next day (18th Feb).
She did not come on 18th stating there was a death in the family and confirmed she will be available on 19th.
On 19th also the maid did not come and did not answer calls.
We reached out to bookmybai and were informed that they will find replacement maid.
All maids sent to us for interview demanded amount ranging from 15-17K INR while the agreed cost was 11K for 4 hours.
Bookmybai has not been able to provide maids till date (28th Feb) and are stating that we have no way to contact the manager or team leaders in the organisation.
The agent does not have any answers and only states that as per their refund policy no money can be refunded.
They are unable to fulfil the service and have taken the money and now not refunding the same causing undue stress to me and the family.
We are unable to hire from elsewhere as we have already paid money to Bookmybai and even not able to get a refund.
