I booked "avengers - end game" movie tickets through bookmyshow for sunday, 28th apr @ 2:20pm (Booking id wa2ya86) at cinepolis, dlf place, saket. After 24 hours, bookmyshow informed that ticket is cancelled since cinema has cancelled the show. I inquired and found that cinepolis didn't cancel the show. I called & asked bookmyshow reinstate my ticket booking as show is not cancelled however didn't receive any resolution or logical answer for cancellation. Bookmyshow must stop such malpractices as it cause lot of problem & pain to consumers.

According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) platforms providing movie ticket booking services do not have any authority to levy handling fees on customers and that they are in violation of the RBI’s Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) regulations. Still I had to pay 254.88 to book 8 tickets for Avenger's end game on 27 th April 2019.

    Yesterday, i received sms and email that i sent a gift card of 2000 and 500 on bookmyshow. Giftcards were purchased using quikpay. My quikpay was linked with paytm.

    I have not made this transaction. I immediately sent an email to both paytm and bookmyshow.

    Paytm replied saying since its from merchant side (Bookmyshow) only they can trace the transaction and find the fraudster.

    So far, i have no response from bookmyshow despite sending several mails.

    Ultimately i had to put this complaint here. I have sent all details of this giftcard to bookmyshow on [protected]@bookmyshow.com.

    same happened with me yesterday (24th Apr mid night) where 9 gift cards were purchased using Amazon on BMS site, I already raised it with BMS, it seems BMS is hacked
    Same happened with me on 08th April. 4 gift cards purchased. 2 from amazon pay and 2 from paytm. Amazon has refunded the amount for the two transaction. After chasing bms and paytm for more than 20times they have reversed the amount for third but the last transaction is still pending. This is not a co incidence that it is happening with all o[censored]s. Definitely there is a loophole in their system.
    For help I connected call with customer care and the call continued about 30 minutes and at last moment when i came on waiting list number 2 that time suddenly withour any information customer care person cancelled my call and wasted my valuable time.How pathetic peoples are recruited and finally giving statments like it was system error.

      I had booked for avengers endgame 2 tickets to see alongwith my kid for the carnival: imax, wadala 04:00pm | 26-apr-2019 show vide bookmyshow confirmation id w3gffxa.

      Suddenly i got a sms and email from bookmyshow today that the booking is cancelled when i had not accessed the bookmyshow app nor given a call for cancellation.

      Tried interacting with bookmyshow help centre who have kept on insisting that the booking was canceled from my end only.

      Could be bookmyshow had overbooked and hence canceled my confirmed booking id w3gffxa

        Somebody just accessed my phone and transferred 1700 rs. From my amazon pay balance which is linked to my bookmyshow account by the name vriti c as a gift card to their account. I contacted them and they immediately blocked the gift card and told me that i will get my money back after they investigate . This was on april 19 th.today is 22 nd and still i get the same answer that they are investigating . How long does it take to just find the details of the person who stole money from account and transfer it back to my balance? Please help. My reference id which bookmyshow gave me is 8462357

        Similar thing happened with my account on 21.4.2019. From my amazon pay balance which is linked to my bookmyshow account, a gift card of Rs. 2125 has been purchased without my knowledge. Some one has hacked into the servers of bookmyshow and transferred the card to their email.

        I contacted them immediately telephonically as well as on email but they are just replying that they will investigate and then do the needful action.

        Atleast they can find the details of the person who stole the money from and refund my hard earned money. This case should be referred to Digital Crime Police, Govt of India to punish the culprits.

          I booked tickets for friday at pvr ecx mall, but the app crashed after the payment, and now i have a ticket on sunday with different seat
          How is this possible?

          If i cancel the ticket the cancellation charge is too much, for an error that is not mine. But i do not want cancellation, i selected friday, different seat and i want what i selected.

          If you cannot provide that i need full refund without deduction of service charge because this service is beyond fail. A deduction here is equivalent of shopkeepers dropping your eggs intentionally and asking you to pay for it.

          I contacted the customer service team, they said it was not possible to refund or exchange, and after the case was closed, they cancelled by their side. Now i don't have a ticket, no refunds received and probably the cancellation charge will be deducted.

          This is extreme customer harassment.

            Hey, i just booked 2 tickets for avengers endgame. The transaction was done and the money was debited from the card but a message comes that the booking was cancelled. What to do now??               delete my account

              Hi,
              Right now bookmyshow doesn't provide the provision to delete ones account. I find this as an obstruction of consumer rights. How can the company hold on to the consumers information when the consumer wants it removed. This for me is a clear violation of consumer rights. I would like to know how bookmyshow has the authority to do this. And i would also like to have an option to delete my account....

              I am mini v. I booked 4 tickets for athiran using bookmyshow.com in g track cinemas, kadinamkulam for 6:30pm show for date 14th april 2019 using state bank of india net banking
              After selecting seats and entering my account details, bookmyshow website displayed some message like 'processing...' and after some time, it displayed, 'oops, an error occurred'.
              But an amount of rs 542 was debited from my account. This transaction was done at around 6:00pm on 12th april 2019.
              I waited for around 20-25 minutes, but i didn't receive any sms or e-mail from book my show for confirmation of tickets but i did receive sms from sbi for deduction of money.

              So, basically money for my 1st transaction should be refunded bookmyshow as it didn't handle the transaction properly and deducted amount without booking the seats.

              I request a refund of rs 542/- from bookmyshow.

                  While trying to login into my account, "something's not right here. Please try again after a while. We appreciate your patience. (#-96205)" this error is poping up and i'm unable to login into my account. I want to cancel my tickets and due to this error im unable to do that. Even i am not able to login into my account also. This looks ridiculous and book my show is not supposed to have this type of errors....

                    I had booked tickets from bookmyshow website, booking time 11 am, after 12pm iam noticed location mistake (Iam trying to book rp mall calicut but selected rp mall kollam). Iam sent the infermation and cancelletion requst at 12: 45, i got reply from bookmyshow helpdesk..."the tickets can be canceled at least 4 hours prior to the show". How this possible my booking time is 11; am. Plaese take necessary action against the issue and refound my credited amount.

                      I booked 5 tickets for an event, the money got deducted from account but the tickets were not allotted to me.
                      As these tickets were for a highly sought after event, Book my show employees do not allot the tickets to the customer and instead keep it for them self and then sell it in the black market.
                      I suffered a a lot of trauma because of this event.

                      please provide me a resolution or help me out with the procedure to take them to court.

                      Such Big company blatantly lying to me in writing over the mail. I can prove the claims made by their customer support to be false and just made to run away from the responsibility.

                        I am i am mohammed shamil from kerala. I am in need of this complaint as i have made a purchase on bookmyshow for a ticket today. Money has also be collected from my account but i am getting no confirmation regarding my purchase.. No emails no messages etc. So i would like to place a complaint against this company for this nuisance i also want my money back my account..

                          Hi, rbi has mandated that movie ticket booking sites are not allowed to charge internet handling charges from their consumers.in spite of that, today i was charged rs 51.92 as internet fees on booking two tickets from bookmyshow.in doing so, they are violating rbi's mdr regulations. The two tickets are priced at rs 350. To handle such hefty internet fees, i had to buy a filmy pass which further costed me rs 99 and is supposed to give me rs 75 discount for the next 3 movies. The discount does not subtract the internet charges. Please find the screenshot. Kindly see to it that i am refunded.

                              On march 2nd, 2019 at 11:08 AM I tried booking 2 tickets for aquaman at pvr 4dx, galleria mall, panjagutta, hyderabad. Amount of Rs.777 was debited from paytm wallet but I received a message that due to some error tickets were not booked.It has been almost 5 days since that day but still i did not receive any refund.

                                I'm kanchan shinde. I booked 2 tickets for badla movie using my bookmyshow.com for fun time at glomax, inox kharghar for 9:25am show for the date 10 march 2019 using bank of india net banking. For transaction amount of rs.252 was debited from my account. This transaction was done around 1:02pm on 8th march 2019. I waited for 20 minutes but i didn't receive any sms from bookmyshow for conformation of tickets but i have receive sms from bank of india for deduction of money.

                                  I booked a movie ticket yesterday online through bookmyshow, my experience was worst. The amount got deducted from my bankaccount however the tickets were not booked through bookmyshow.
                                  I contacted bookmyshow customersupport however there is no responsible behaviour from them. Bookmyshow customer support informed that my amount will be refunded within 5 working days.
                                  Why i should wait for 5 working days when tickets are not booked?
                                  What right book my show has got to block my money for 5 working days?
                                  There are number of complaints raised by number of people in this site onbookmyshow related to the tickets booking.
                                  Bookmyshow is blocking people's money through fraud transactions where the booking fails and collecting money and blocking it for 5 to 10 working days without refunding it. I request you to please take action on bookmyshow.

                                  Bookmyshow charged me more. I paid 536 instead of 120 for 2 tickets on 11th March 7.40 show for Badla. I have attached my ticket. Kindly resolve the matter and refund my money

                                    Amount is deducted and transaction is success from amazon pay, but bms shown me transaction time out and ticket was not booked.
