I bought three tickets thru bookmyshow for rs. 750 each for a stand-up comedy show at rain tree hotel, chennai, organized by evam theatre in september 2015.
It was mentioned on the email confirmation that rs, 500 would be redeemed out of each ticket.
I have been on email correspondence with customer care of bookmyshow on this issue for last one month. On 8 november, i received an email quote:

I understand when you had booked for the event you may have received mail/link or any type of intimation for its redemption.
Request you to forward us the same so that we can have this checked at our level, so that i can check from our end and assist you better.
Thank you for being our valuable customer.

However, after obtaining all the details from me viz. Booking id, email confirmation wherein the redeem amount is mentioned, there is no response from bookmyshow. Reference: ticket id [#2648476]

Unfortunately, when a booking is confirmed on our website, the seats are reserved at the cinema and are deemed sold.
Since, online bookings are confirmed transactions, tickets once booked cannot be cancelled, exchanged or refunded from our end.
Also, there is no provision wherein we can make any modification in show date, time, movie, seats etc which are already confirmed.
Keeping the cancellation norm in mind, it would have been an opportunity for customers to bring a smile on their dear one's face by gifting those tickets.
