I reported the theft/ transfer of R100 000 from my Capitec Bank Account to African Bank without my knowledge or authorization on 17 Febtuary 2021. Capitec's mantra "we help you manage your financial life better so you can live better is a joke. An amount of R100 000 was transferred from via my Capitec phone app to African Bank without my authotization on 17 February 2021. Uncountable phone calls later, I have not received a single call, correspindence or reply from Capitec. No matter which number I call, I end up at the call centre. I took a loan with capitec r80000 and was paying extremely high interest rates of about r1600 monthly. So i decided to pay the loan forwad. I am now 28 months ahead but i still feel like the interest rates are still too high considering that less than r10000 is now left. I agree that capitec are loan sharks. And i'm planning to leave the bank after such an ordeal....
