We are staying at 18/71, 2nd sector, semmathaman nagar, ch-600111. In our area drainage was blocked and the dirty water was flowing the road. we are complaint at koyembedu metro water office but they are not responding for our complaints.so, pls kindly take our complint and do the need full.

WE THE RESIDENTS OF KENNADY STREET, VYASARPADI, CHENNAI 39 AND WE CONSTANTLY HAVING THIS DRAINAGE PROBLEM.
MAJOR PROBLEM IS DRAINAGE PROBLEM. DUE TO BLOCK IN DRAINAGE, DRAINING WATER OVERFLOWS IN STREETS, STAGNATED IN STREETS, MOSQUITOES AND BAD SMELL SPREAD UNWANTED DISEASES. AS THERE IS PUBLIC LATRINE THE RATE OF OVERFLOW IS ABNORMAL. CORPORATION EMPLOYEES SHOULD CLEAN THE DRAINAGE IMMEDIATELY FOR FREE FLOW.

In my are, M41, Cosmopolitan Colony, West Avenue Thiruvanmiyur, There is no water supply since last 20 days and when we complained about this to Metro Water office they told that since there is sone footpath repairing is going on due to that pipe line broken so footpath constrution team will do this only and they are also not coming since last seven days. Due to problem between two department why we should suffer. Its a request to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

We the people from Sakthi Nagar - Errikarai Street - Virugambakkam, suffering with the dirty drinking water supply. From 2 weeks before we are facing the same problem, Since, the drinking water like sewage water not only colour, the smell of the water also like sewage water. How we can drink that.

And, we made complaint at Koyambedu metro water office. but that people not taken any action on that.

We need good drinking water. please take necessary action against that.

I am a resident of Ramasamy street, T.Nagar, Chennai. My neighbour is a Gujarati restauraunt called Mansukhs. His drainage gets blocked very frequently. As our house is in a slightly low lying area, the over flowing drains inundate not only outside our house but also into our house. As a result our toilets get blocked. Every now and then we complaion and workers from sewage board clear the drain. But within 3 to 4 days we face the same problem. This is becoming a health hazard also. I am a resident of Mahalakshmi Street, T. Nagar. On behalf of the residents of Mahalakshmi Street I furnish the following for consideration of MSWSSB:
For the past one month we are getting dirty water thro the pipe line and the quantity supplied is below normal. When enquired a month before, we were informed that the Metro Water is attending some repair works at Venkatanarayana Road and the normalcy will be restored within a week. But even after a month the position remains the same and hence, we request the MSWSSB to attend to this.

Sir, Iam residing in Villivakkam, No.3/15, 1st street Annex North Jaganatha Nagar, next to my House new flats 2floor was constructed past six months before it was occupied within sixmonths, the drainage connection was broken in the middle of the road, and the drainge water flows out with bad odur and because of this is house everyone got sick. Even though i informed the concern person they are not taking any steps so i request the CHENNAI METRO WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE BOARD to consider my problem and rectify the same at the earliest. 17.05.2009

I am a residing at L-360, 14th Cross Street, Thiruvlluvar Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai-600041. The drainage manhole in front of my hous very frequently overflowing and as a result, overflowing drains is stagnating at front of my house. Due to this my family, our neighboureres are suffering from virul diseases very frequently. This would become regular health hazard also. In the past also on many occasions it was brought to the notice of nearby Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Thiruvanmiyur. They removes the block only . But it gives temporary relief to our residents. But we request the competent authority to sort it out this propblem permanently to ensure free flow of drainage water . Kindly take appropriate action in this regard.

we the residents are suffering with the dirty drinking water supply. The drinking water line is mixed with the sewage line and the result of which is that the drinking water is like sewage water not only colour but it also smells like the sewage water. From past 2 - 3 weeks we are facing this problem and now that problem has got into our nerves. It has brought illness among the residents.. kindly consider yourself in our position and try to understand the problem.. i request you to kindly look this issue..

I am a residing at B-3, shakthi apartment, 17/20, cenotaph road, teynampet.Road is in the low lying area and we experience lot of sewage water entering in to the compound and ground floor apartments. It causes great hardship to the tenaments. Children have to cross and walk all over the sewage water with the school uniform & shoes. The main reason being, the mains get blocked/choked and the water reverses in to the apartment chambers and causing it to overflow.

Sometimes the sewage water mixes with the metro water causing big health problems like diahorea etc. Even during last week, when the pipes laying work was going on, we had the experience of sewage water overflowing in our compound.

As the Cenotaph Road is getting ready for the newly to be built fly over, the sewage water problem also cause great concern to the residents.

So we request MD/SE of CMWSSB to take quick and proper action towards the redressal of the grievance. We anticipate that this work will be clubbed with flyover work and done before the rainy season.

Appreciating you for giving the opportunity to express our grievance in the meeting.

Im a resident of ayanavaram mettu street ward no.58, we are having this darinage problem for past 6 months and whenever we complaint to corporation office, they are cleaning it but still its not getting cleaned.Due to this problem the sewage water in our house is not getting drained which may lead to many diseases.Since there are many kids in our house they are prone to get diseases soon.This may also lead to the soon spreading of swine flu too.Please do the needful to rectify this complaint soon.

Drainage block/over flow problem

We are residing Mangai Street, Jafferkhanpet, Chennai-600 083. Over 6 months we are facing Drainage over flow very frequently, whenever we complain to the number[protected] and also we one of our place residing person gave a written complaint they said they will send the person immediately but they never did, after lot of calls also they didn’t send the person we have to call them at least 3 times in a day to remained but we did not get the proper response.

They take at least a week to clean it, whenever they came and cleaned that would be blocked on the same day or next day. It is happening till now from 6 months. I think they are not doing their work properly.

Sometimes the sewage water mixes with the metro water. Because of this many of the people in our place last week suffered by bad flue and got fever, in our street lot of children badly affected by this.

Because of bad smell and over flow of drainage water we are unable to use the toilet and bathroom. How can we live in this environment?

Antisocial elements have taken thereown drainage connections for illeglly constructed buildings and connected the drainage pipe with the Metrowater Sweage line drainage. Consequently, the whole Astalskhmi Garden is under the Drainage water. The Metrowater authorities are requested to attend to this complaint on priority basis.

I am a resident from Devakiammal Street, Shenoy Nagar. House number 3. We had moved into the house about 13 years back. We were getting water supply for the first 3 years but later the pipes were relayed and for the past 10 years we have not been getting water. Many of the residents have stopped paying the water bills as a result of the same. Please let me know what is the legal way to stop the water connection so that we will not be charged any arrears in future.

By the way I have given expecting for water as the authorities say there is no force on the line.

As a dweller of lavanya flats(gangaiamman koil st, lakshmipuram thiruvanmiyur) we are having this drainage problem from the last november onwards. continuously we are giving complaints to the metro water. but they are not taking proper solution for that problem. We, the Devar Street residents of Villivakkam, Chennai - 49 having the problem of getting muddy water and the water is having the smell of drainage water. Hence the water can not be used for any purpose. It is a recurring problem. The present problem persist for more than one month. REGARDING RAIN WATER STAGNATION AND DRAINAGE PROBLEM

Every time when their is a down pour of heavy rain we people suffer a lot in our place .

Rain water don't reside at all, because we don't have a proper drainage system cum maintenance of the drainage system in our area.

Rain water gets into the house who reside in the down floor and apart from this even the their toilet experience the back flow of water into their toilets.

This issues has been put forth to the concern dept but nothing has been solved out.

Here the rain water stagnated is getting into the drinking water and making it contaminated, kids and even elders experience sickness.

Important thing is the drainage holes in our whole koyambed area has to be cleaned first as a first aid measures,

because the water doesn't drain same way the water gets back flowed from the drainage pit and make the stagnating water stink and they by flows into the drinking water and also into the house who reside in the ground floor

I WANT THE MANAGEMENT TO TAKE THIS SERIOUS ISSUE AND RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM in a day or so.

on 18.11.2009. Last week they made an inspection at the site and said
that they will rectify it soon. Till date it was not cleared. The over flowing drainage

We got a house in the above said address in April 2007 and we have been paying tax regularly till date. In Aminjikarai the land water is highly salty unable to use for very important regular activities like drinking & cooking. There are around more than 120 families in our locality and all have been paying tax regularly. But the very sad news is that we have not seen or used this so called metro water from Chennai metropolitan water supply & sewerage Board for more than 13 years. When contacted the office several time for the same in Shenoy Nagar, every month one or more member from each family would go and enquire about this. But the officer there will say “the work is on and you will get water supply within a month or two”, but years have passed no water supply still. All our question is that why should we pay tax, when there is no benefit and our locality is totally ignored by Chennai metropolitan water supply & sewerage Board. Kindly at least now give hears to our long lasting compliant . Expecting early action. Thank you Sir.

I want to bring to your kind notice that the road and drainage in Jogabai Extn. Jamia Nagar (Okhla) became in worst condition, Main holes are open, entire area converted into a lake, mosquito’s quantity have been increased to its maximum. It’s very nearby Happy Home (an orphanage where 100 children’s are living), this is the main way to go to Batla house.
Every day we are living in the fear of Dengue, children may slip into the main hole, smell of gutter water makes our life worst.
We already mate to our counselor and MLA but no one is interested to take action, could you please take some action to get read of this worst situation.

We are residing at Jeevanandham Street in MGR Nagar. For the past one week, through our drinking metro water pipe line, drinking water and drainage water is also mixing and coming. Hence we are not using the drainage water for drinking purpose.

Even though it is happening like this, drinking water was not supplied through the lorry also till date. This is to bring to your kind attention to take immediate action to provide good and pure drinking water to our area with immedaite effect. We are suffering a very lot without having drinking water in the day today life or pleae make alternate arrangements to supply the water through the lorry service. Please do the needful.

We are also paying regularly the water tax also. Please file this complaint and do the action immedaitely.

It is because Metro water wants the bills collection even from those who do not get drinkable water in their houses for years. The drainage manhole in front of my house very frequently overflowing and as a result, overflowing drains is stagnating at front of my house. Due to this my family, our neighbors are suffering from virul diseases very frequently. This would become regular health hazard also. In the past also on many occasions it was brought to the notice of Chennai Koyambedu Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Koyambedu . They removes the block only . But it gives temporary relief to our residents. But we request the competent authority to sort it out this propblem permanently to ensure free flow of drainage water . Now the problem is getting worsen day by day and if the same situation continued further it may even lead to the mass break out of epidemic diseases.Therefore I request that appraising the gravity of the situation the authorities shall act immediately on war footing manner so as to ensure a clean water supply to this area and also to avoid any health hazard to the residents in future,

sir, i agree most of the division engineers are lethargic in discharging their duties on very essential complaints (chronic drain block and overflow like flood on BRR or in the residential area) that occurs at frequent intervals not only affects tax payers but entire area gets polluted there after water gets contaminated

Sewrage over flowing right from the middle of the street drain . The stinking water runs along the platform of our house and the adjacent building where Corporation maternity
ward is situated. This has become an everyday affair now. The drain should be cleaned and blockage removed for good. The holes some people have dug up around the drainage cover should be closed.. It is better if the hand pump situated close to the drain is shifted to another location. Please look into the matter and do the needful.

This drainage blockage is aware to all the staffs of your concerned department including the councillor of this division.But there is obsolutely no action has been taken either from your dept or from the corporation, inspite several complaints given thro phone to the divisional Engineer by our street house peoples.. Beacuse of the Road sewage blockage the drainage water is overfowing in most of the houses.
More over whenever the over flowing water is coming to R.K salai end the staffs are immediately coming to rectify and take the silt at one man hole in that portion only because all theministers are going thro R.K. Salai to secretriat daily.
Kindly look in to the matter seriously to see the Road drainage blockage in the above said portion, so that the peoples will be free to walk in that road which is linking to the Bus stop. But the entire sewage pipe is blcked with heavy silt and plastic papers causing this over flowing.
If you look in to this matter It is very helpful to the school children and office goers who are going thro this V.M. street.

I am a resident of Anjugam Nagar, 11th Street, Kolathur, Chennai - 99. Chennai Metro Water were performing Rain Water Drain in our street, They have completed the work very fast and in a very good manner. Thanks for that, but at the end of the street there is a big area where they digged and left asit is due to some reason. It is alarming to see a huge deep dig fully filled with rain water, it looks very dangerous and there were no protection for elder people or children passing by the road. It also give rooms for mosquitoes and other water insects to cultivate more disease to the human.

Chennai Metor Water must look in to this matter and resolve our difficulty sooner. One important information is that I saw a person professionally taking a picture of the unattended deep dig left out, Kindly do not give any chance for the media person to make it as a issue in spite of you doing a wonderful work.

Sir very often I see heaps of dirty silt removed from the sewers lying very next to the sewer. We have to walk past it and during rains walk over it. When we trying for a singara Chennai does it not also include a basically healthy Chennai? It is disgusting to see such potentially harmful debris from sewers lying on the roads. Even today there are heaps of it in Venketeswara Nagar, Adyar. Just off the road from Adyar exchange to Beasant Nagar bus stand. Why are the supervisers never on the spot to check these? This overflow has made the premises unclean to live in. 45 staff only they are doing there best bu it is not solved so far when i discussed with AE division 45 he said division 46 also do some work from their division because water coming from that side only. one more information he has given during the vyasarpady bridge they broken the main pipe thats why all mthese area was floodeed by the drainage water i do know what step taken by the DE...

Sewerage system near plot 806, 63rd street, 10th Sector, K.K.nagar, Chennai -78 (Division no. 137) not working properly. Manholes are not properly closed. Thereby the rain water finds its way through manholes and the sewerage water is blocked and it is overflowing and mixed with rain water and running in the streets. The stagnated water becomes the birth place to the mosquitoes and causing Dengue fever the people in the area. Therefore it is requested that remedial action may please be taken immediately.

i am mr.t.k.udaya kumar past three to four days we are in person given a drainage block complaint and there is no response and also i made a complaint to head office also they have given some response i hope that the problem will be solve at earliest.Not only our family including 10 houses(division 44 thulasingam street, perambur, chennai) are suffering please take necessary action.

Drainage block / over flow Menace : ANJUGAM NAGAR III STREET, JAFFERKHANPET.

We the residents of Anjugam Nagar III street, Jafferkhanpet, chennai 600083, are facing Drainage Blockage and over flow very frequently. Regular cleaning and De blocking is not done and this leading to sewage overflow and sewage water stagnation, which is becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Because of severe bad smell and over flow of drainage water, we are unable to use the road and living is becoming a nightmare for us.

I Request the authorities to kindly take quick and permanent action to prevent this perennial problem.

I am residing in Kumaran Colony First st., Vadpalani, Division-129. The sewage problem is a menace to the residents of first st., Kumaran Colony. here are 4 manwholes in the first street and sewage water fountaining out from the first man whole in front of RamPeri Apats, the entrance of the first st., Further in all the rest of the 3 man wholes available in the first st., sewege water just oosing out of the manwhole cover
and there is stagnation of sewege water permanently at the entrance of the first st., Repeated everyday complaints to metro authorities
did not solve the problem permanently but giving only temporary relief. Since there is much usage of water in the mornings, the problems is critical in the mornings than at nights. Further hydrozen sulphide gas emanates from our toilets due to water stagnation in our toilets. Desilting the manwholes every now and then did not solve the problems permanently. The stagnation of sewege water gives room to the outbreak of mosquito menace, lepto sporiosis, cholerea and all sort of infectious dseases. On behalf of the residents of kumaran colony first st., may I request all the engineers of metro water to inspect the site, suggest and execute remedial measures so that drainage overflow on the first st could be stopped permannetly.

There is some blockage problem outside our building and therefore our drainage inside our building campus is leaking for last 6 months.

Because of that sewage water our parking slots are flooding also the surrounding is stinking and mosquitoes are growing like anything.
I have already done a complaint at for drainage problem and disinfecting the area.

I am a resident of Dhamodara Perumal Colony, II lane, Red Hills Road, Villibakkam, Ch=49. We are facing with severe drainage block frequebtly in this colony. Several complaints are being made in the villivakkam office itself inperson, in the head office on 28451300 as well as in 45674567 for morethan 4 years. Whatever be it it, it takes a minimum of one week to attend the compliant Even then the drain block is not solved and it recurs. e.g this time after making complaints in the local office we were trying the area office at Anna Nagar but no response. Fed up with that we made the complint in 45674567 and the dkt no was 2281415 dt 11/7/13 and was attended on 17/7/13. The overflow of drain water stopped for just 2 hours and it started flowing again from 13.30hrs on the same day. The complaint was again booked in 45674567 and the dkt no was 2284602 dt 17/7/13(there was no reply on the T nos of the area office at Anna Nagar). Today 18/'7/13, we personally went to the office at Villivakkam and told them to visit the site to see the intensity of the complaint. they were telling that people are there at the site to attend to the problem, But till this time 3.20 p.m nobody has turned this side . I went through all the main roads, viz., station road, Red hills road, II st, III st, IV st, V st. No reply on the AE's number at [protected], if replied it was told the AE is on leave. Because if this we are facing with severe health problems. one of the residents is sufferibg with kidney disease and is undergoing dialysis twice week and his health is deteriorating day by day. even I explained this to the AE before. Afterwards routine cleaning was being done and there was no problem for almost one year. That AE got trabsferred and the problem started again for the past 4/5 months. There is no response from the No [protected] always. Unless the old drain pipes are replaced with broader ones this drain overflow cannot be solved, as many old independent houses were converted as Flats. I earnestly request the authorities concerned to view this issue seriously and a permanent solution may be given at the earliest please.

Drainage getting mixed with Borewell water and Borewell Water is having a very bad smell and it is also not clear.

We are residents of Jones Street, Mannady, Chennai-600 001. The drainage is mixing with the borewell at No.12/35, Jones Street, Mannady, Chennai-600 001. The corporation and water authorities are requested to attend this complaint at an early date as the water supplied by the Corporation is also having a very bad smell and it has also become unusable. Hence people in the street resorted to the borewell water and it is also having the same problem of mixing drainage water with borewell water and it is health hazard.

iam a resident of 1429.26 th cross street.t.p chathiram main road shenoy nagar chenna.facing a drainage block in my residence and we had complained to the concern area office on 29.-6.2014 and they assured to come but not when and they havent come on that they to rectify the problem the next day is may day and the next day is saturday they came after giving them repeated calls and they are unable to rectify the same also they came for rectification bare handedly and they told that they shall come to clear the problem and there comes the end of their visit. even after repeated calls they are not in a possition to clear my problem. i request the CHENNAI METRO WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE BOARD to consider my problem and rectify the same at the earliest.

Hello Sir / Madam: I am having a flat at, 63rd street, 10th Sector, West KK Nagar, Chennai 79.

In the street on front of this flat, drainage blockage takes place frequently with the result too much foul smell emanates and diseases likely to come to occupants of this flat.

I was told drainage inside platform must be raised a little more so that drainage water will not stagnate.

But during numerous previous complaints looks like only some kind of temporary fix was done, which does not seems to have resolved the problem and it's get bad to worst day after day.

Under your command, lot of good things taking place in and around Chennai for improvement on all sides and entire credit goes to you and all your concerned subordinates.

Kindly take up above issue on war footing and please see personally concerned experienced engineers supervise and carry out the work speedily and accurately so that such problems are not repeated.

I thank you in advance for your immediate orders to concerned officials and the much needed initiative to see this done.

We are residing in PALLIKARANAI NO 47 KOVALAN FIRST MAIN ROAD. Provided SWEAGE CONNECTION for our street. But work man were missing to provide 3 more house in same street. We already regestered the complaint in jelldianpet office. Till now there is no action taken. Kindly take necessary action to provide SEWAGE CONNECTION path in the mentioned area.
