They promised for telecasting all the india cricket live matches in usa. But in 2020 jan they are not doing it for ind nz matches. When i asked them, the i answer i got was they did not get the rights. So if they cannot provide the telecast why did they charged me for the subscription. It’s totally complete violation of the agreement. If they cannot buy the rights in usa then why did they make false promises to customers.

Poor live streaming of cricket match has been the practise of hotstar which monopolises the streaming of cricket matches in india. I have subscribed to this channel for about a year now, hoping that they would improve their services. But my patience and complaints to them via fb messenger have been in vain. I have been subscribed for premium yearly plan (Rs 999) in hotstar but then after paying rs 999, hotstar is still debiting my rs 199 every month as a part of monthly plan via my credit card details.
I tried to unsubscribe monthly plan but there is no option to do it. And cancellation of membership option is not working also there is no customer care number and proper support.
I request for the refund amount of monthly debit which happened after yearly plan subscription or the unsubscribtion.
I have manually cancelled yearly subscription now.
I request to cancel my monthly membership as they are using my credit card details for auto debit and i no longer want to use hotstar.

My name is kapil lodhi and i subscribed to hotstar monthly pack after reading everything and i read in their site only that new customer opting for monthly recurring plan will be eligible for free trial and upon cancelling within 3 days i will get my full refund and now they are saying that this service is not refundable, please help me i thought i will take it but this service not worth 299rs thts why i cancelled i want my money back refunded
I followed every rule written on their page but now its my fault

Amount is being debited from from my savings account without my consent. This is not right. Its not a credit card transaction and hotstar is mentioning the same in my transactions too which is not right. How can my debit card/bank details be activate with them. I'm afraid what do i do now.

I don't understand why hotstar is not mentioning consumer complaint contact details and neither they are being regulated. Such platforms should not have any authority to debit transactions themselves. A consent is must. Its my money and should be requested for before debiting.

This is serious.

I had paid 999 rupees for a yearly subscription but it's been 10 days i am not able to access even what i had before it's as good as no subscription done and there are no benefits it's sheer loss of money so i demand a refund and request you to kindly look into the matter because i can stream the video online for free so why should i pay and stream live. Please help me out with this

I have paid 365 rupees for a one-year subscription. The amount has been deducted from my account. But my account displays all transactions failed. Please look into the matter. Resolve issue as soon as possible.

But i am getting massage to make payment for vip or premium membership. I am contacting hotstar on [protected]@hotstar.com from last 2 weeks but didnt get any reply from them.
They also dont have any customer care no to contact.

Last month, i was billed twice for in a month for the subscription, and when it comes to refund, hotstar says, they have initiated...i have been to n fro to my bank, called hotstar various times, but they dont give a damn about the customer.This may be the reason they dont have any call assistance, because, explaining so much on mail is useless..They dont even care!!!

First of all i never knew it was a recurring thing. 2nd off all why did you charged me twice on the same day? Need refund asap! & also justification..

Why there is no option of removing debit details & who gave you permission to save my card details & take payments without my consent. I never knew it was recurring, fine agreed i must have not read it earlier but why am i not being able to see & remove my debit card details, answer me you fraud service provider!!! I was not warned or informed in bold letters at the time if subscription that it's a recurring thing. Fraud!!!

I got message from hotstar as rs.299 has debited from my account, since i am not subscribed any kind of pack in hotstar app, even not provided any debit card details on my account. Find the details below. Without kmowledge amount has debited.

I am already a member of hotstar vip and logged in with facebook account but for some reason i uninstalled and installed it and logged in with facebook account but now it showing that i am not member of hotstar vip member please look into the matter as soon as possible

I was already charged for hotstar vip in the month of march, date 26, on annual basis, and today i have been charged again, that too without my consent. I want to charge them for fraud. I just got a text today that i have been deducted rs 299 feom my bank account without me giving consent to it as i had already paid rs 345 on 26th march for annual membership. This is fraud and i want my money refunded...

Last year i have subscribed hotstar cricket pack and i have used it fo ipl season.
Currently i am not using hotstar but they deducted money from my bank account without any notice. I don't want to use their services
I have also mailed them my concern but no reply.

I had recently purchased hotstar premium one year subscription for this account on 21st february'19.

Before that for the past 2 months my account was being deducted of rs.200 for using the services of the hotstar premium account. However, i wanted to switch to 1 year subscription plan, and purchased the same on 21st feb., as also mentioned above.

However, rs. 200 is still being deducted from my account (Recently deducted today morning-28/02). I am also unable to view my details using the 'my account' option, wherein it is not showing my transaction history, which is why i am unable to cancel the 200rs deduction.

Your customer care number is also not available at any point of time.

I am attaching below the screenshot from the account wherein you will be able to see that i have 1 year subscription with the next billing cycle due in feb'2020. Also attached is a screenshot of today's message received from my bank for the deduction of rs 200 towards hotstar.

Today first time i have subscribed hotstar permium by paying rs. 999/-.

Unfortunately i am not able to open premium movies and it shows no payment done. I have attached the bank statement which i paid today in hotstar account.
Earnestly i am requesting you to look after this matter.

I am a paid subscriber of hotstar since a year i never had any time so have never actively used hotstar. However during chrismas holidays dec 2018 when i started watching the tv series rome after 2 days of watching around 5 episodes now the series is not to be found on hotstar. I want a full refund of my whole year subscription coz hotstar is destroying customer belief in ott platforms and soon no one will pay for unreliable platforms like hotstar

They refused to refund the money and in their defense they claim that although they have pictures of kohli and cricket in the website and also have india vs australia, they claim since they have (2019) it means only in 2019 they will have the ability to stream it.. Which they haven't mentioned explicitly on any of there website.

It's clear case of false advertising and i wasted 30 mins of my time talking with the customer service folks who are of no help in what so ever.

I am ardent fan of cricket. Was so existed when i heard hotstar was streaming cricket. I feel i am cheated since hotstar now says will only stream bcci sponsored cricket events. I can not watch on going aus vs ind 2018\19 series in australia. Nothing was mentioned during my sign up.

For all cricket lovers like me, please keep distance from hotstar.

We jalsha fans are unable to view the famous old serials of star jalsha once again, as you have removed all the episodes of the famous old serials such as bodhu kon alo laglo chokhe, bhasha, maa, romonir guney etc., after the launch of hotstar as you have shut down startv.in website. It should have been your prior responsibility to upload all the old serials as soon as you have removed those from youtube and shutdown your previous website.
Therefore, its our humble request to your team that, please, please upload atleast 4-5 old serials of star jalsha, especially bodhu kon alo laglo chokhe ; which was the most beautiful serial with an elegant plot and pretty casts. We will always be thankful to you and your team.

I have been contacting hot star for last few days over phone and each time i get worst experience.. I have been complaining team for charging me twice on same credit card and they do accepted there was error. But still i have been not confirmed with cancellations and refund. Multiple email has been also sent but no reply.. Such a fraud from an indian company.. I never get this kind of service and have to do follow up with any us based service company.. My next step will be to publish this on public forums to make ppl aware of such fraud..

I had subscribed for 1 year sports membership and 1 month premium content membership for approx rs 400. I did this few weeks ago but i am not able to access any of the subscribed content. Please fix this issue as soon as possible.

I have paid for the premium membership for hotstar amounting 18inr on 7th april 2017. However i am not able to use the premium privileges. When i mailed them regarding the issue, they replied that it will be resolved. After 24hrs i am still not able to use the services. They sent a mail saying i can use the services and still it is not working. Kindly look into it.

Every week, they show they have live english premier league live broadcast and from few weeks, only posters, no live game, it shows "sorry, we are unable to serve your request at this time. And we pay 199 rs every month. If they dont broadcast they can show there is any problem and we will not recharge again. I want my money back or i want the service i need which i paid for. They are cheating from a long time.

Hotstar is a online entertainment channel, they offering free subscription for rs.5/- and i have subscribed for it but hotstar was deducting amount from my credit card without my prior permission every month, at the time of subscription hotstar was not mentioned any agreement that they will deduct the money or the subscription is auto renew after free subscription.

For this hotstar violation my credit card limit was exceeded and the bank was put fine for exceeded limit.

Free subscription date is : 20 aug 2016 vide invoice no.[protected] all invoices are herewith attached.

I request you to stop this violation and make my refund for user id shaik. [protected]@gmail.com.
