I am Namita Sethi .I am a policy holder of Kotak Life Insurance. My policy No is 00400294 and Client Id is 50185338. Yet I have not received the receipt of Premium paid in Feb 2010. deduct premium without intimation

i have opened policy in kotak life insurance no. is 01868328..
in january..ihave paid first premium after that i have decided not to make any premium..so i have answered the call from kotak insurance .that i am not in a position to make your payment i do not want to continue my policy .they said ok..after three months one day my account have 2000 debit as a premium of policy i called up my bank they said it is a premium of kotak life insurance..after that i called insurance adviser that i have not opened ECS in my policy ...they told me that in that policy it is compulsory ....while taking policy these discussion were not made by insurance adviser ..please do someting my name is chirag patel from ahmedabad [protected]

Hello my name is anil jayaram maurya policy # 01876025,
the ecs got hit my account on 7.46 in morning, i deposited the fund at 10.00 am in moring same day, but i was charged for 275 RS as bounce charges, when i called customer care for the answer that how come the ECS got hit at 7.46 in morning and the bank opens at 10.00 AM ...they had no answer and the lady with i was speak was sounding like they are doing favours on me ...very rude ...

PF settlement

I was working with Kotak Life Insurance - Thrissur branch.At first I as with them in out sourcing(team lease) and latter worked for them on on rolls (Direct Kotak)
I have already requested to our HR to transfer my old PF a/c (with team lease) to my on rolls PF a/c, which was done as per their information. They had also informed me the amount to be around Rs 6200/-(approx). but they now informs me that they ;have already settled my dues. Till now I haven't got any cheque as per the given details.I have resigned the job w.e.f.[protected].
It is more than a year. Please tell me how can I get my PF amount.

calling again & again on DND numbers

I am facing the same problem. There is one agency in Vashi, navi mumbai which has been calling me again and again multiple times in a day even when I have told them that I will complain in police against the number.
The agency number is[protected]
I think they have got my number from kotak credit card dept as i have recently got a kotak credit card. Is this how kotak uses our personal information.
Is there any responsibility that the kotak takes for such mental torture.
There is a lady called Usha who has called me for 3 times today itself and she doesnt know that she has called me earlier and i have told her not to call me.

Miss guidance and misbehavior of staff of bathinda branch

I am working in Indian Air Force bhisiana.I went to kotak life insurance branch bathinda to Surrender my policy[protected] on 07 Apr 10 as it is the nearest branch.I told to staff ( Miss Ritam) that when i took the policy i was in Jaisalmer but now i m in bishiana so is there any procedure so that money can be refunded to my bank account directly.she said yes and asked me for bank account statement and gave me surrender form.I fulfilled all the things which she said after that she told me you will get the money after 7 to 10 days.Sir, it is difficult to go branch again and again as it is far away from bhisiana and after 17 Apr 10 i called up to branch but madam was not available then i called up on 19 Apr 10 and she replied you will get money within two days.after that i called up on 21 Apr 10 then she told me that i have emailed your request u call me tomorrow.but when i called up on 21 Apr 10 to customer care ([protected]) , they told me that your cheque has been issued on 12 Apr 10 and couriered to your address (Jaisalmer). Due to which i m unable to receive my cheque as i m in bhisiana now . I again called up to bathinda branch then she told me that she did not know anything regarding this and told me to wait .Sir as she told me in starting that your money will come on 17 apr 10 so i borrowed money to fulfill my requirement and promised them that i will return their money on 20 Apr 10. but now i have to give interest on that money. Sir due to her miss guidance and carelessness i have to give interest which is extra load on a fixed earning man. Sir proper action may be taken against miss Ritam as due to her negligence i have been suffering a lot.waiting for your positive and justified action. Thank you Sir.

KOTAK LIFE INSURANCE MUST CHANGE THEIR HR DEPT
As their Branch Manager's, Customer Care executives are never ready to listen customer's requirement, their problem they just wants to proove that only company is right. Rest everything is wrong.
Only customer have to suffer everything, if company's top management will visit branch any of sudden or they just met their customers then they can feel what customers are feeling at the time of visit their local branch on respective locations.
I am saying all these nonsense coz I have faced all above at rajkot branch when I visited.

I have submitted my PF form to Kotak Mahindra in the month of Feb 2010 and they have submitted it to Mumbai office on 2nd March 2010 and I trying to find out the status on the portal but getting below error, so request you to please help me to get the status of the same.

I have no complaints about Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance co. I have send a mail to epfbandra office for PF details from which i have not received any revert so launch a complaint to consumer cour.

I have still not received my PRVIDENT FUND, Employee ID-13712, I had resigned on 30/09/2009 and my last day of working was 30/10/2009. MH/45187/13700 not received Dear Varsha,
Your PF Account Number is MH/45187/11383, this would be required for any communication with RPFC.
As you already know that your forms have been submitted to PF Office on 2-Mar-10, i am not giving any form details here. Please follow the below mentioned steps to check the current status.

1. You need to click on Claim Status
2. Establishment Code is 45187
3. Employee Number are the numbers that appear in your PF Account No. after 45187
4. Leave Extension (if any) blank
Current Status of your form as on 29th April is mentioned as : Worksheet Prepared on 26th April 2010.
Which means that your PF has been settled and should be credited in the next 15 (approx) days to your account.
Generally PF disbursement takes 3 months if the bank a/c is in (same City) Mumbai & 4 months if the bank a/c is out side Mumbai.

kotak life insurance has sold its insurance product by violating of sebi's rules and regulations..to day i have come to know about it. i have paid rs.35000.00 as a first premium.kotak life insurance has been selling its insurance product to many people by violating sebi's rules and regulations.as per sebi's rule the said company has no power /right to sell its product to the people..so i want to get my money back with immidiate effect.my policy details are given as under.

I have gone through your complaint and would like to bring it to your kind notice that all insurance companies including Kotak life insurance come under the jurisdiction of IRDA and not SEBI..and so SEBI has no authority to ban or to stop functioning o[censored]LIP business..Moreover, if you have gone through the latest development, you must have noticed that IRDA has asked all the insurance companies to carry on their business as usual and assured all the policy holders that their investment is 100% safe...So please be rest assured that your money is in good hands...and i being the financial advisor for Kotak Life Insurance, would like to say with some authority that the product which you have (Smart Advantage Plan) is one of the best in the market if you compare it with any other ULIP in the market..

Kotak Insurance Ahmedabad — Cancelling the Policy
I took the Insurance policy in the month of July 2010 from Kotak Insurance. Inspite of giving all the details they have mentioned my name wrongly on the policy. When I informed for correction no one has responded properly. I have written a letter on[protected] for cancelling the policy but no action has been taken by Kotak Insurance Ahmedabad Branch. I want my money back. I am not interested to continue the policy. Dear customer,

This is with respect to the policy no 02083770 under Kotak Super Advantage Regular (UIN-107L058V01) .The sales representative had wrongly given about the benefits of this policy.By the time I received the policy booklet the free look up period was over and as I've opted for the monthly mode the money was getting deducted from my bank account.I went to Kotak office for the cancellation of ECS option.Those guys were always telling that it will be done in another two weeks.My money was getting deducted monthly.Finally I went to the bank and closed the account so that automatic deduction got stopped.I lost Rs 12000 -/ in the mean time.I want to cancel this policy and get my money back.What should I do in this regard?

"If premium for the first three policy years is not paid in full and within the grace period (15 days
for monthly mode and 30 days for other modes), policy lapses and all benefits (including Life
Cover, Fixed Advantage and Dynamic Advantage) will cease. If the policy is not revived within
two years of the first unpaid premium, the contract shall be terminated. In case the policy lapses
and before paying any part of the 2 year’s premium, 10% of the premium(s) paid (excluding any
extra premiums) will be payable at the end of the third policy year."
Whether I will get back my money.

My wife and I have taken three Kotak life Insurance Plans. What the insurance advisor offered us is not offered by the policy document. ( The agent has told me that the money will be invested in equities and I can get the investment back after the completion of three years lock in period. Now I am Told that the FIRST YEAR PREMIUM that I have paid is not even invested)
I asked for the clarification at the client services desk and they told me that the insurance advisor was not right and asked me to obey the policy document. What the policy document saying was not acceptable for us and so we requested for surrender of the policy. They refuse to accept it saying that the request should have been forwarded within 15 days of the ISSUE of the policy. It was not possible because the policies were received only after one month of their issue dates. (Please see the Details given below in the table)
Meanwhile I got to know from the other customers , who have filed complaints against the Kotak life insurance on consumer complaint forum, on similar issue that most of them received the policies after the stipulated time that the company has set to surrender the policy.
I have put a complaint at the client service desk and also at the nearest branch in Noida. But did not get any response . On mailing them again, I got a mail from the client services desk ( on 1st April 2010) that it is not possible to surrender /alter the policy. Now they are saying us to “ forget the premium” that we have already paid and discontinue the policy. There is NO WAY to get back the money which we had paid to Kotak.
This is a trap. Once you pay the 1st premium on the basis of the insurance adviser’s offers. You don’t have any other option but either to continue with it or Lose ALL the money that you have paid. In fact The company is NOT providing any written document while offering the policy but the policy adviser told us that “ all these offers would be given in writing once the company accept the policy” Now the company has accepted the policy and the commitments are not fulfilled. The Stipulated window for surrender is also closed.What shall I do to get my policies surrounded to the company.
Sir could you look into the matter and ask the company for an explanation?
Help us to surrender the policy and get refund of the money that we have paid the company on the basis of misleading offers. Name of the insurance advisor Mr Manas . The kotak official I discussed the problem at kotak : Rohit Gupta [protected])

MAJOR REVIVAL
I had taken a policy named flexi plan regular term(UIN-107LO23VO2).The said polycy paid upto 2008 .presently i want to continue my policy onward.Accordingly i have submitted a major revival as wll as change of address to local branch.till no confirmation received.Kindly advice me .policy no 00667441.

MAJOR REVIVAL
I had taken a policy named Kotak Endowment Plan (UINNUM). I am not paid last premium only. Presently i want to continue my policy onward.Accordingly i have submite a major revival form. Worst Customer service- Revival of policy
i have a policy with Kotak Life insurance , which there So called Lifeexpert sold it to me. This person used to collect the amount from me for two consecutive years. then this person suddenly disappeared ( so called Lifeexpert).
And i ahve no communication what soo ever from Kotak or Life Expert, and then when i realized in Oct-09that i had a policy, for which i had to pay an annual premium of 15K in Feb-09 ,a nd from that day onwards i have reached out to all sorts of people including Cutomer service of the Insurtance company. and none of them gives me any answer to what the policy status is .

i demand premium certificate of the financial year 2007-08 of policy no 00621067 on 22, 23, 24 july 2010 by ref no 02125983 but i am sorry to say that till date i have not recived my premium certificate i have an urgent need of this . I also visited my policy home branch dl4n pitam pura delhi but they also not issuing me premium certificate they say that we cannot do any thing on this matter.I think i choose wrong co. for insurance I feel so many problem for premium certificate if any mishappening occur how my family get the claim from this co .

I(Mohit Singla) had taken a policy from Kotak Life Ins in the month of Feb 09.But I did not recieeve my policy for next 6-7 month.Then I go to Kotak Office for my policy,then firstly they give the number of courier co and told u ask from them not us.Then with the help of one employee I put the number of mail for policy then atleast They provide me my policy on 28th Oct 09.Then I was not interested to contiue with that policy because They harash me with poor service.At that time I had submitted the request for free cancelation as per IRDA guidelines.They receive that request.Now they rejected to return my money.Please tell what I do in this conditionLook at you for justice.

Dear Sir,
In the above mentioned subject, I would like to inform you that I have applied for the policy in October 2008. I have given my native address as the policy bond to be delivered. I belived the company, hoping that my bond will be received by my parents. My parent have received other company bonds which I have applied in the same time period except the K.L.I. one. I came to know about this when I am visited my native, the time was very nearing to my renewal premium paying date in k.L.I.
The company people informed me about the renewal premium payment. They called me, then I asked them to provide my policy bond. They assured me, if it is not delivered they will help me to get my bond. They requested me to pay the renewal premium first. I paid it and logged a complain about providing my bond on 25 November 2009.
For a long time, there is no respond to my complain. When, again I follwed up they told since it is a more than 1 year old case they assume it as delivered. So, they can not provide me my bond. Then I enquired, asked them how it is reached provide me the information. they told, it is send by speed post with consignment no EW[protected]IN. When I asked them whom they have delivered, there is no information. Even in the postal department, I enquired there is no information about delivering.
The K.L.I says me that only way is that I have to write in a stamp paper requesting for duplicate copy with payment of a penality amount five hundred rupees.
According to me, it is a unnecessary penalty on me. The company is unnecessarily penalising the customer and harassing. I did not agree to the company stand.
Finally therefore, I brought this issue for your attention.
I request you to instruct the company to deliver my policy bond without penallity and without any difficulty.

I, agree with him service renderd is very very poor, I advice people not to have any sort of transections with this company

I had taken a Kotak Life Insurance Policy No.[protected] Jan 10. Haven't recd Policy document till date (ie 13 April 2010). Have applied for free look cancellation on 4 feb 2010 at kotak's gurgaon branch. haven't got the refund. even submitted documents on mail to client service desk as was assured that they will process the refund but even after following up for for over 2 months with client service desk haven't got any response. haven't been to contact the customer care because of some server problem the lines are not been connected to customer care. Today on 13 april 2010 fortunately got connected to customer care (thank the god for that & kotak mahindra too) but was disappointed to haer the response. cutomer care executive said my case has been rejected on ground that its is not within the Freeloook option period. They don't even know that the Freelook can be done withing 15 days of receiving the policy bond. I haven't recd the policy bond yet so the period of 15 days never started. also whenever you call & get connected to customer care line (if you are lucky enough) you have to wait for atleast 10 to 15 minutes before your are able to talk to a customer care executive.
It feels like i had made the biggest mistake of my life by applying for Policy with Kotak Mahindra

Receiving Unwanted calls and behavior of the DSA
I am receiving constant unwanted calls from the DSA of kotak life insurance regarding their plans. These people call us and misbehave. Today I received calls from the number[protected] and[protected] from persons who told their name as Rahul Sharma and Vikram Sethi. Inspite of our denial about the policy and also informing them that our number is registered under do not call, they continue repeating and asking for the mobile number to discuss the plans. They even argued that they will call again even if we don't want to. This is not the first time I am receiving such calls from this DSA. They repeatedly call us and .
First of all, these DSA should provide the proper information about their company and place they are calling from. They should not use the name of Kotak Mahindra.
Second these DSA should know about the Do Not Call numbers and should not contact such numbers.
Third the DSA should know the proper way of talking to the female members of the family.
Fourth it should be investigated how these people receive the personal information. There must be some check over this.
Please let me know what are the legal option I can initiate against such calls.

Im receiving these calls from Kotak insurance at least 2-3 times a day. They are very annoying people and i have requested several time to take me out of the database and dont want to receive calls from this company. They still persist to call and hang up on my face if i try to explain them about not calling me.

Refund not received
I have surrendered my Kotak life insurance policy no : 00105064 on 11th Nov 2009.
After this I have received an SMS from Kotak on 12th Nov 2009 saying
“Dear Customer, request for Full surrender of policy no 00105064 was processed on 12 Nov 09. Surrender amt Rs. 109281.51 will be paid within next 10 days. KLIFE”
Today is 24th Nov and I have still not received any amount in my bank. I had asked for direct credit and I had furnished all details along with a cancelled cheque from my ICICI bank account.
I have checked with my bank and they have not received any such transfer.
I have already given a verbal complaint of the same on Kotak's customer service help desk at [protected] and my Kotak Request number is 01917190. I was told that it will take 3-4 days to get all these details. This is not acceptable.
How can they send an SMS that surrender amount will be paid in 10 days and then nto pay the amount even after 13 days
I would like to sue the bank for mental harrasment and take them to court.

CANCELLATION OF POLICY
This is to bring in your kind information that the Kotak life insurance policy No : 01621615 was sold to me in the month of June 2009 by one of the marketing advisor.
The concern in the above mention policy was said is a yearly premium of Rs 10000/- but unfortunately when i received the policy copy on 27th October 2009 it was mentioned that the premium is to be paid on a half yearly basis.
So, I have submitted the cancellation form on 29th of October 2009, but still i have not received the Refund amount yet.

I took a ULIP from kotak life insurance in Apr 2009.
As per their official records they are saying that , "we have dispatched your policy documents on 24 apr 2009", but till date I dint received any policy documents.
Also I inquired at the post office nearer to my address and as per their record that post office did not received any policy document with registration number - EM[protected]IN via speed post.
I contacted a agent through whom I took policy, now is he not responding to my queries.
Then I contacted to customer care and also send a mail.
As per kotak's procedure I sent a scan copy of declaration format provided by kotak.
Now their customer representative asking me to do some unnecessary things and also asking for some charges and stamp duties. I read all the clauses of Kotak ULIP and They only fail to do the right action on time because of their internal issues.
I did all the things on time and now they are saying that please excuse us as we could not respond you on time, but now you have to follow this procedure.
Please guide me.

FRAUD AND MISGUIDED BY EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY ABOUT POLICY AND CANCELLATION
one of the EMPLOYEE of KOTAK LIFE INSURANCE called me and gave me all wrong information about SAP policy where IN THAT I WOULD GET 275% GUARANTEED BONUS IN the 1st YEAR, after that i took three policies
within 3 days after getting my documents i called him for SUM ASSURED mistakes and clarrifiaction of POLICY regarding 275% of GUARANTEED BONUS, at that time he told me to write an application for SUM ASSURED and give the documents to the executive and HE ASSURED ME that i will get 275% of GUARANTEED BONUS in the first year and it will add up into my FUND VALUE, i wrote application for SUM ASSURED and gave to executive who came to my house, but after 5 days i read the documents and talked to some of my friends about this POLICY where i came to know that the employee misguided me and he gave me all wrong information, i CALLED him AND TOLD TO CANCEL MY POLICIES, at that time he told me "Sir actually the BONUS IS NOT GIVEN THERE IN THE DOCUMENTS, YOU WILL GET BONUS BUT I TOLD HIM TO CANCEL MY POLICY THEN, HE TOLD ME SIR DON'T WORRY i will cancel your policy from my side". i thought that he will cancel my policy but after approx 1 month i got 3 letters saying that you have to make payment in the coming month for the POLICY,

within 3 days after getting my documents i called him for SUM ASSURED mistakes and clarrifiaction of POLICY regarding 275% of GUARANTEED BONUS, at that time he told me to write an application for SUM ASSURED and give the documents to the executive and HE ASSURED ME that i will get 275% of GUARANTEED BONUS in the first year and it will add up into my FUND VALUE, i wrote application for SUM ASSURED and gave to executive who came to my house, but after 5 days i read the documents and talked to some of my friends about this POLICY where i came to know that the employee misguided me and he gave me all wrong information, i CALLED him AND TOLD TO CANCEL MY POLICIES, at that time he told me "Sir actually the BONUS IS NOT GIVEN THERE IN THE DOCUMENTS, YOU WILL GET BONUS BUT I TOLD HIM TO CANCEL MY POLICY THEN, HE TOLD ME SIR DON'T WORRY i will cancel your policy from my side". i thought that he will cancel my policy but after approx 1 month i got 3 letters saying that you have to make payment in the coming month for the POLICY,

I Zamin Ahmad bought a policy of Kotak in the month of August 2009 but I did not recieve the document.I called to customer care they replied that the policy was delivered to SMC I called there they daid that we have delivered it to Rajeev Kakkar(SM in SMC)then I went to Kotak Office at Amba Deep Building, Delhi They sent the policy to me I recieved it on 10th December & now I do not want to continue the policy.The operation staff are not accepting the cancellation request.They are misbehaving me. Dear Mr. Kaushal,
As per the IRDA rule, once an LA completes 5 yrs of active agency from any company, he is entitled to the renewal commission even if he gets terminated. You can in no way stop my commission as I have completed more than 5 yrs in the company.
My agency came into force on 03/03/2004 and I was an active agent till 22.07.2009. Hence there is no way you can stop my renewal commission.

non payment of promised amount
I have taken a kotak life insurance policy in 2002 based on the agent's promiss. He promissed that the amount invested here will be multiplied and will yield high returns. as per the policy, on 5th year there is a 1st survival benefit amount suppose to come to me. based on value it is Rs.37500/- in the month of Feb 09. I have been following with them from last 8 months nothing has been credited to my account. then I decided to close the policy so that at the end atleast i may get full and final amount including 1st survival benefit. but my policy got closed i have not received the above said amount till date.

as the performance is not so lucrative,
1. if I want to surrender now, what will I get
2. what is the procedure to surrender the policy
3. How long it takes for processing and getting the amount.
In addition to this I have not received my first survival benefit of Rs.37500/- (suppose to receive on 23rd Feb 09). when I will be getting and how.

but I have not received the cheque for my 1st survival benefit of Rs.37500/- after visiting serveral times to your residency office in Bangalore I left with no option other than waiting.
it is really surprising that my policy got foreclosed within said / mentioned period, but the benefit amount which is pending from Feb 09 is still not yet reached me.

In addition to this I have not received my first survival benefit of Rs.37500/- (suppose to receive on 23rd Feb 09). when I will be getting and how.

I have taken policy from your co. against Proposal No.1717150, and paid a cheque No. 979162 of Punjab National Bank, Nasik for Rs. 40000/- (Forty Thousand) as first premium. The amount was debited from my account 0n 18.09.2009. Your agent has collected all the relevant documents and intimated that the Policy will be delivered by the co. through courrier. Till date I have not received the same. Now I have been intimated to come to Nasik for medical check-up. It is not understood how suddenly your co. is asking for that, as while opening policy this requirement was not mentioned. I have open a Policy in LIC, they have asked for medical checkup before accepting the money. Your Co. has is asking me now for medical checup, after getting money in the pocket, this is not justfied and against all sort of norms. This a case of harrasement and cheating. I am staying 28 Kms away from Nasik, as such it is not possible to go for medical checkup. It is therefore requested my request proposal menntined above may please be treated as cancelled and the amount Rs. 40000/- may be returned to me immediately. the delay in this regard will force me to take up with Consumer forrum and Ministry of Grievance, New Delhi for justice. i am jitender singh,i am a policy holder of katak life insurance.my policy no is 1660658.my kotak life insurance plan is kotak smart advantage plan.my policy had to done by agent of sonia and mr sameer.actually my policy has been started from 19-july-09.they all people are cruppted and they gave me fake commitment like inthis plan we will provide 3year health insurance under this plan but till right now they never provide me health insurance and one more fake commetment like inthis plan we will provide to you kotak credit card also and they never provide to me till now.and when i will call them they never pick my call.

I had taken a policy from Kotak Life Insurance who's form number is 1549026 on 1st Oct -09 by cash of Rs.2000/- but till today i.e. 21st Oct 09 we have still not received any policy paper.
I wanted to speak to your Janak Puri branch Manager Mr.Pankaj Sharma but becoz i didnot had his phone number but had spoken to Mr.Saurav and Mr.Ankur from same branch and they had promised to deliver my papers at my place but now these guys are not picking up my calls and i am unable to speak to any one regarding my problem.
Kindly look into my problem and provide me with the required documents.

The amount was debited from my a/c on[protected]. Till date I have not received my policy. In the mean time your rep. on telephone asked me to attend me for some medical check-up. It is surprised to note how suddenly your co. is asking me for that, as the same requirement was not intimated to me earlier while opening policy. It it is not possible for me to go to Nasik for required medical check-up, as I am staying at Ojhar ( 23 Kms from Nasik), and I dont have the time for that. In view of the above, it is requested to cancel my policy and refund me my money Rs. 40000 (Forty Thousand) immediately, as I am not interested to continue. Your people are not telling further requirement while making policy , which is against all sort of norm and also not justified. from month of april I have recived a dozan call from kotak insurence first in the begining I used to say ''Nor interested" But due to contiune call from the sales peoples to stop the harassment on phone I decided to take one, I called the seles exe. to my home he explained during my conversation on phone and in my home promised me to some rousy piture on the scheme, and I accpeted the provided that will give in writeing what he has promised as common man I did not realised the trap.I have handed over a cheque of Rs.4000/- & my proff of residence as well as foto identity to the person of kotak insurence. After a month I have recived a document. Now what the sales persons has promised to me is missing in the docuument, so again I called the at there given address but not recived any assurence from him then I have writteren mails to concern dept. thay not have even a cuartsy to give any answers to my letters some how I try to collect my money back they flatly refused to give me my money back.
THE PROMISE MADE ME ON TELEPHONE BY SELES EXE AS FOLLOW :
1. The insureer has to pay 2000.00 per month up to three years that is 2000x36=72000.00
in return insurer get 1,20,000.00 after 3 years if I discountine the policy.

Auto generated SMS from Company on policy lapse
Dear relevant authorities,
Through this Email/complaint, I want to breifly describe my agony towards Kotak Life Insurance.
Unfortunately, last year, after so much of persuance from Kotak representatives, Monica and Prabhat, I went for a policy of Rs. 40,000 per annum. This year, without any intimation of paying the premium, a message from KLIFE is flashed thru sms on 12th Aug which reads
" You have not paid premium and the last date was 6th Aug. To avoid lapsing of the policy, please ensure you pay it by 14th Sep."
I was surprised to see such message and informed Monica about the same. She assured " Don't worry, your premium due date is 14 th Sep.I will come and collect the payment. I also requested her for the Half yearly mode for which she asked me to write an application and she will take approvals and collect cheques after that. It has been 5 days, haven't heard after that from her.
Today on 11th sep, another message reads
"Dear Customer we reget to inform you that your Policy no. XXXXXX has now lapsed. Kindly make immediate payment to ensure Continuation of life cover. KLIFE"
On this I messaged Monica and Prabhat both. Prabhat called up back, obviously forgetting , who I am , and said " Aap hamara kuch nahi kar sakte. Yeh toh company se auto generated SMS hai"
I want to know form KLIFE officials whether we are here to read all this stuff from your unwanted so called auto generated messages. I donot want to continue with KLIFE any more and want my refund.
Please let me know the process.

I have taken a policy from Kotak in January'2008, policy number 00841770 premium amount is Rs.1250/- monthly, payment mode is ECS clearence, My Bank is Canara Bank, Hayathnagar, Hyderabad, till december it was run smoothly, in the month of June'2009 premium amount was debited from bank account, but kotak people telling that payment was not made.
