Dear Sir/Madam
I had invested Rs 50,000 in an ULIP plan of Kotak Life Insurance in February, 2010. I had a very strong belief in the brand & the company- Kotak & Old Mutual and hence committed mistakes of not reading the policy documents. When I read policy documents of the company, I realised that Rs 15,000 have been withdrawn without information.
In an investment of Rs 50,000, 40% have gone into the drain in the first year. In the second year also, they are telling that they would deduct 10% as premium allocation charges and Rs 8000 in the annual maintenance charges. Again it means, from premium of Rs 50,000, 26% will again will be deducted.
Now, I want to surrender the policy to which they say, I would not get anything of my first premium.
Of the 9 mails, I have sent, I received reply of only one. Customer service desk takes 6 to 15 minutes to pick up the phone without giving any reply.
I am about to loose my entire investment of Rs 45,000. Please guide, how can I get anything out of this investment. Investment in this company is utter loss as they have created a bottomless pit and charging exhorbitant rate without any value addition.

Kotak Life Insurance has poor governance norms and lacks business ethics. No body in Kotak Life seems to be accountable for anything. Kotak Life is only concerned about the premium collections and very unsympathetic about the issues of the client.
Kotak Life is least bothered about the client. Kotak Life is only bothered about profit maximisation. From the past two months, many people have experienced that it is a cheater and swindlers of the public money. Kotak Life charges outrageous premium allocation and monthly maintenance charges way beyond the peer insurance company.
I am shocked how did they get banking license.

Please don't give false and misleading reply.

This is a case of mis-selling. No charges were revelaed at the time of product purchase.

Now all officials of this company is trying to gobble up the payment made towards this policy.

Representatives of the company or its official never gave any concrete or convincing reply of the query raised.

Monthly maintenace charges are exhorbitant and never revealed by the company.
I also made the same mistake. The sales officer cheated me. Looks like i will loose my 35 K..
I have full sympathy with you Mr Sahoo. But you should expect least from the company like Kotak Life, which is a very unprofessional company working with no transparency & business ethics.

Sales Manager have got incentives, now least bother about you; customer care desk does not anything; branch manager of Kotak Life branch will waste your time; staffs are rude and does not how to speak and the company is surviving on naive investors' money like your and mine.

In my case, I received hard copy of a letter assuring to reply within 15 days. About a month has passed and nothing has happened since then.

They are engaged in several malpractices and nobody is bothered. No charges are revealed and senior management is in deep slumber as they are making money by fooling others.

Kotak Life has no representatives, who can give any concrete or convincing reply to the query raised.

At time of policy taken ur Sales Manager commited me after 1 year we reduce your premium from 50, 000 to 10, 000. So please reduce my premium as per your commitment.

The sales managers have cheated us by saying lot of false things.
I agreed with all complaints. KLIFE is really bad insurance company. I am also victim of their cheater sales man. I highly opposed KLIFE, never invest your hard into KLIFE. I have the policy no 02225076, I was paying premium RS 1991 per month and suddenly this month I has increased to RS 2021 per month. What's the hell happening here? Besides this the sales man had promised many benefits and good guaranteed returns but nothing is there. I have total lost my money in the bad hand. I was better to me if gave to poor people.

Dear Friends,
I too agree, that i have made a big mistake in trusting Kotak Life Insurance in managing my pension plans.
I feel for the brand name, and mis-advice by insurance advisors and am paying through my nose for that.
I made significant investment in kotak life pension plans.
When my policy was created, they did not mentioned of any one of charges of 4.5% odd, which was deducted from the premium payments.
I sent requests via their online system asking them specifically to give me a call, but never got any reply. I check the system after a week, and they have closed my request, without any satisfactory reply.
I double check the insurance papers and dont find any mention of these charges.
Also i am paying administration charges at 8.5% odd percent of the fund value (that too not premium pay like other insurers do).
Can you believe it? If you put Rs 100 in their plan, you get 92 at the end of the year, this is happening even in the 2nd year of my plans.
Unbelievable !
That too this a pension plan with no life cover other than the fund value. Can you beleive it?
Even though i am paying monthly premium which should be well averaged, for investment of 180000/- current valuation is 137, 934.
I can share my policy numbers, if it help.
I dont know what to do, whether to exit the policy at further loss or take up the matter with IRDA.
It looks Kotak is run by swindlers, with no accountability or benefit for customer.

      Dear Sir,
      This mail is in context to a complaint against Kotak Life Insurance Co. Ltd. This is to bring to your knowledge that I purchased a policy under policy no. 01915107 with a half yearly premium amount Rs.13,000 bearing risk cover of Rs. 200,000 from an agent of Kotak Life Insurance Co. Ltd, Moga Branch. It is basically a ULIP policy with a term of 15 years. Many facts regarding the policy terms and conditions such as it is a market linked plan, that it has a term of years were concealed at the time of filling the proposer form. I was mislead by the agent ( who said that the policy will have a risk cover of Rs. 20,00,000 and the payment term is three years which will have a gauranted return benefit. He assured me that my amount will be doubled by the company after five years and all this will be stated in the policy bond itself.
      As per the policy bond, my policy got issued on 08/03/2010 but I received the policy bond after nine months dated as on 14/12/2010 when it got lapsed. As soon as I got the policy bond, I visited to the Moga Branch as on 16/12/2010 for the Free Look Cancellation of the policy and got it processed (a scan copy of the Company official's receiving of the policy bond is attached with this mail) and discussed the issue of misselling with the Branch Manager. I haven't received the refund cheque of my policy yet. For this purpose, I've visited the branch almost twenty times. Despite helping me sort out my problem, the Branch Manager harrassed me by saying, " I've no concern to what my agents do and the direction my company is moving into."
      In such a terrific situation, you are my last hope. Kindly resolve my problem at the earliest.

          I Dr. Sagar More has taken policy with kotak life insurance in december, it was adviced by Wai Urban Bank (I had taken loan of 32 lakhs for hospital ). Initially kotak agent (Mr. Amar Jagtap ph- [protected]) introduced by WUB gives me offer of 3lakh of premium (non refundable) for cover of 32 lakhs,I refused them they directly come down to settle at 1 lakh still I refused. I inquire at LIC office they told me premium of 46000/- with cover of 32 lakhs. I told to WUB regarding that ,they said will talk to kotak agent. Later I got call from same kotak agent that we will do it in 50000/-, I agreed as they have tieup with WUB & I am old customer of WUB.So Ipaid the agent by cheque in december . after that I get three times call from kotak bank regarding opening of account in there bank ,I refuses them . At last call I told them not to call again, just day after that the same kotak agent call me and said they have found high nicotinine level so will have to pay 6000/ more(Almost after one month of mypaymentof premium). As I am not smoker I ask him to produce the xerox of high nicotinine level for which agent saya its confidential bank cannot show you. Then same agent advice me to get it done nicotinine level from out side and said challenge the bank. I did nicotinine level from golwilkar lab for Rs.1200/and handed to the same agent to proceed forward.After two days same agent call me and said that you will have to pay the 6000/- .I ask him about the written report regarding my complaint , he replied that your nicotinine level is normal but you have given sign of occassional smoker so you will have to pay. now I ask him that why he told me to do nicotinine level he straight way refuses that he told me to do.I ask for copy of my signed paper he refuses. I told to cancel the policy he says only 10000 will be refunded.Now I got doubt on agent so from internet Ifound kotak insurance free toll no. and call them .When i talk to them they told me that local branch has stopped processing saying I am smoker. I ask them regarding my report of nicotinine level they told yet have not recieved. Mumbai kotak branch told me every processing done from local branch so contact there. While every time agent told me everything is controlled from mumbai branch. All the statement are contrdictary and irresponsible.

          Sir,

          Please note that this is regarding the renewal of my policy nbr 00980465 and my last premium of 50,000 Rs was due , I got a call from Kotar Life Insurance that u premium is due please advise availability so that we can send our person to collect the cheque accordingly… Mr Bharat Ahuja([protected] and [protected]) has visited to my house & collect the payment of 40,000rs and gave us the discount of 10,000 Rs ( looking at the good records w/Kotar), but when we have called after two months ( after checking w/bank that the money has already been transferred from my account to Kotar) and asked for acknowledgment we got the answer that it has already been dispatched to your name so please wait.

          Again I have waited for 2 weeks & called the same person again and he has told that I have been resigned from the company and u are now requested to take this matter with higher authority accordingly and in the meanwhile we got a another call me Kotar office ( Rahul phone[protected]and informed that please pay premium of 50,000rs to avoid cancellation of th policy .. The person has visited to my place and collect the fresh cheque of 50,000Rs and give us the insurance that the money which has already been paid before will be returned to your account very soon…

          When I have checked again on the same nbr from where the person has come to my house I got to know that he has also been resigned from the company… after this

          I personally met with Regional manager officer Mr.Rama ( [protected]) at Bikaji Cama Place &
          handed over the package of all the policies and simultaneously submitted
          relevant records by the courier as per our telephonic conversation with
          Mr.Abhishek @ Kotar[protected]Life insurance Company Bikaji Cama Place New
          delhi.

          Regarding above 2times the cheque were issued by & stopped , first time
          the we have told that we have mentioned the policy nbr on the cheque &
          second time we have told that u have mentioned the policy detail &
          complete contact info at the back of the cheque issued. Third time when
          the fresh cheque were issued we got to know that the new policy were
          issued my my father name Mr.M.L Sharma against old policy nbr[protected]
          this I got to know when I visited to my nearest office at Bikaji Cama
          Place) but when I logged the complaint at toll free nbr that time I got to
          know the it was dispatched to wrong address & received it back due to
          incorrect address ).
          After a 2 months again I have visited to your office in Connaught Placed
          Amba deep building & meet wih Mr.Kishore[protected]/[protected] & explained them the complete
          history in detailed & called him after 1 week & then 2 weeks but once
          again they have not done anything regarding the same… Till date we are
          struggling had to get our money back paid against the premium due ( cheque
          no 787519 dtd 2/06/10 amounting 40,000 Rs).
          Also note down the details of people who has taken /collected the payment
          for above

          a) Mr. Bharat Ahuja # [protected]
          b) Mr. Karan #[protected]

          Despite of my numerous request Nothing has come out of that .
          But this is not the end of it, I have personally visited to Mumbai in the month of 28th Sep 2011 to Head office Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance Kotak Towers, Building No. 21, Infinity Park, Off Western Express Highway, Goregaon Mulund Link Road, Malad East and met with Mr.Konal Rathod assistant Sonam Swapnil ph:[protected] and they have given us the insurance that with in 3 weeks u will get the money back but till date nothing has been done & we do know from where to get the money recover which has already been debited to my account & has already been transferred to Kotar under cheque nbr 787519 dtd 2/06/10 amounting 40,000 Rs
          Kindly look into the matter and under intimation to me or wl take a liable
          action this immed.

          Even though i have visited to Mumbai as well & met with Konal Rathodre 3 months back[protected] but no response where received till date ...I donot understand without singing any docs how come the new policy were raised in my Name, Please advise HOW ..

            Insurance policy no.00322244,Kotak Mahindra old mutual life insurance ltd.I,Murlidhar Baburao Shinde taken kotak life insurance, Dt.of commencement 18/3/2005 . sum
            Sum assured rs.500000/- total instalment premium Rs.11995/- . Term: 5.Payment mode Annual.
            I have regularly paid instalment amount service tax etc.
            Before maturity i.e.on8/3/2010,I have in writing advised to the kotak Mahindra old mutual insurance to pay me 100% amount. However, the co. is insisting that 2/3 amount invested in annuity.
            Meanwhile their branch manager Swagate Pune branch advised me orally informed to fill up a form
            "Partial withdrawal/surrender form on 23/6/2010.However,the co. is not paying me the above amount till date and earning interest thereon. They have deliberately withheld my money at this age 67years, having many medical problems .Pl. Help me to get my money, oblige me.

              they are saying that some body Darshan Singh received my

                  I am having Kotak Life Insurance's Money Back Plan policy which I have purchased by Company's executive in 2007.

                  My Policy details are as under :

                  Plan Name..: KOTAK MONEY BACK (107N003V01)

                  At the time of buying this plan he told me to pay 3 premium on time rest I will expect to have 1.25Lc return at the time of 15yrs Maturity.
                  At the time of buying this plan he told me to pay 3 premium on time rest I will expect to have 1.25Lc return at the time of 15yrs Maturity. My Present Premium is Rs. 6000/- I have paid 3 premium on regular basis. I have not paid premium of last year as said by company's employee at the time of selling this policy.
                  Presently company is sayig that there is nothing like that,I must have to pay all premiums for 15yrs and at the time of maturity I will receive just Rs. 90,000/- only (Premium amt 6000 * 15 yrs tenure).

                  When I visited Kotak's Rajkot Branch on 11th Jan, at that time present Branch Manager Mr. Prajapati told me that my present surrender value is just Rs.8500 (on dated 9th jan - this figure was provided by operation department). When I asked them to provide official letter of company for this value he told me present surrender value is Rs.11500 (on 11th Jan)............. There was 3000rs. difference in just 2 days.

                  I have requested to provide me official Surrender value letter from company on 11th Jan, at present time of 27th Jan (already 16 days passed) I was not provided any kind of letter from Rajkot Branch. I talked with Branch Manager Mr. Prajapati, he was saying me that I will not send u any courier for this.. U can take step whatever u can.

                  Then I talked with Toll free number of Kotak Life insurance for this letter and they provided it to me through mail. And in this letter Present Surrender value is also different like Rs. 12859/- which is less then total premium Paid. I have paid 3 yrs premium of Rs. 18,000/-.(6000 per year).
                  They told me that company have announced bonus in last 3 years but that figure and statement also they are not providing.
                  I am requesting to IRDA that I dont want to continuoue with Kotak Life Insurance. I would like to withdraw entire money back with interest from Kotak Life.

                  As on today 4th February Rajkot's branch manager told not to help out for any kind.
                  Even customer care is also saying that they will not provide any details of my money.

                  KOTAK LIFE INSURANCE MUST CHANGE THEIR HR DEPT

                  As their Branch Manager's, Customer Care executives are never ready to listen customer's requirement, their problem they just wants to proove that only company is right. Rest everything is wrong.

                  Only customer have to suffer everything, if company's top management will visit branch any of sudden or they just met their customers then they can feel what customers are feeling at the time of visit their local branch on respective locations.

                  I am saying all these nonsense coz I have faced all above at rajkot branch when I visited.

                      Due to frequent calls given by sale team somehow, I have taken Kotak smart advantage plan, My policy no.01785417 from kotak life insurance last year, For this year,They have send a collection person one month prior to the due date i.e. oct for nov due for collecting the cheque. i gave the post date cheque for 30.11.2010 to C.saravanan mobile no.[protected], still now it is not presented. Most Probabily every day i am getting call from kotak asking for delay payment and i am repeating the whole story to everyone that i have given a cheque long before and i am getting the same anwser like a recorded statment" will trace the cheque and call you with full detail" but no updated information later and next day again they will call and ask for reason for the payment. it is really intollerable

                      Meanwhile i contact one sale manger to sort this issue, still he is also not responding for it. Today from kotak customer care they are asking to issue stop payment but they are not ready to bare the stop payment charges and i am also worried about my unit allotment, sure they will deduct some charge for late relisation though it is there default. The company is not ready to loose not even a singly penny, we the individual customer are forced to loose both money, time and health, this is why i ever go to these kind of Private investments.

                      can somebody help me in solving this issue, They should really compensate me for there carelessness by any means. i am worried just in the second year itself there is a heatic problem with kotak and how i am going to go with them for 15 year .

                        I am having an insurance policy with Policy No.01402058 in Kotak Life Insurance Saharanpur Branch (In Parshawnath Plaza complex) . I had been called in Dec. 2009 by Mr. Amit Karnwal who was the Sales Manager there, regarding the payment of the second premium of the policy. After receiving the information I called that person & paid the relevant amount i.e.- ` 18000/- in cash to him. After receiving the amount he said that the receipt of this payment was at his home & he will provide this receipt on the next day. On terms of trust & name of the company I agreed to accept the condition of providing the receipt on the next day. But the next day when I contacted him he didn’t responded to me and the situation continues for few weeks. I even contacted the branch regarding the information about the person & payment. The persons in office said that Mr. Amit was on leave for few days due to health issue of any family member. After this whole hassle I got a call from Kotak Insurance regarding my payment of the second premium was due, that I already paid. I got shocked to hear that & after contacting & communicating with the persons in the Kotak Saharanpur Branch found that Mr. Amit did a fraud & forgery with me. Afterward I even got to know that this person did forgery with atleast 18 more customers of Kotak in same Manner.Now the person has been black-listed in the company. But there are no signs of my lost money. Now that my money & the name & trust of the compny both are on stake can the department please tell me a solution about how can I get my money back? As the forger is the employee of Kotak Life Insurance & had mislead & taken money on behalf of the name of the company, how would the reimbursement of the amount of money to me be done.

                        I am very much upset due to the loss of money.

In fact it was emergency for fund ,hence applied for partial withdrawal. It ssems the process is bureaucratic and it has been trapped in red-tapism.                                   They have horrible service. I (D.P.Tripathy) have one insurance policy with them. First they send to get the form filled. Wrong information twice. Wrong policies twice. They put up the policy numbers never applied for on their website in my account.

                                  In spite of regular reminders for 4 months they have not changed my address. I get cyber-receipts with old address. The profile in my accounts shows only the security question, I just do not know what they have.

                                  Never KOTAK again in life, like never MTNL.

                                    I have seen many compliant about Kotak life insurance policy miscommunication on this forum. I am also one of the victim. I had been contacted on our landline regarding a investment plan in which I can invest for 3 yrs with premium of 30 K per year and will be getting medical insurance worth 3 Lakhs and mediclaim of 3 Lakhs even if I withdraw my money after 3 yrs. This was non-ULIP plan expecting a good returns upto 13-14%.
                                    But when I received policy, it didnt have any such terms mentioned in it and sum assured was about to be reduced if I had withdrawed my money after 3 yrs. After contacting customer care, they informed that it was plain life insurance policy of 6.9 Lakhs and returns were upto 5-6%. I submitted free look form but my 140 Rs. were cut and rest of amount was refunded. I suffered unnecessary loss of money and time. Policy contained application form scan copy which showed my forge signature at 2 places and it was actually collected by some insurance agent named Vserve Insurance solution as I could see their stamp on the form. When I tried contacting on mails and on phones after I faced loss of money to people who used to call me multiple times in a day, they are not responding anymore.

                                      I had received the policy from Kotak Life Insurance on 08.07.10 vide policy no. 02018913. After going through the policy , I come to know that the policy is different from the discussion held with Kotak Bank Relationship Manager and the details of nominee , my office address & payment details are incorrect.

                                      Without wasting time, next day i.e. 09.07.2010, I went to the bank relationship manager and handover the policy with a request letter for cancellation & to refund the amount. I was following up for the same from 12.07.2010 & these bank persons were saying that sir, it is in process and the amount will be transfered in my account with in a week. But, yesterday i.e. 18.08.2010, when I had the talk with Kotak Life Insurance Nagpur Branch Manager, he told that they received the policy late i.e after 15 days from the date of issue. Then I shown him the letter acknowledged by their bank relationship manager and told him that this is their internal matter when they have received the policy , but i have submitted the policy for cancellation with the person of bank who booked this policy on good terms on time.

                                      Sir, I want to know that , why I am being harassed without reason and request you please process the said policy for cancellation and refund the amount in my Kotak Saving Bank account at the earlist.

                                        Sub: regarding wrong sales of policy by your companies adviser

                                        Respected Sir,
                                        Some months before a marketing person of your insurance company came to my shop asking me to invest in some new policy of Kotak life insurance, he further told me that company is having some nice plan, that time I gave him my requirement to that person that I am needing a policy where I can pay for 3 to 4 years, ( with top up facility ) & after completing this period some amount of the policy ( pension ) must come directly in my bank account, after some days a lady named Pooja Sicodiya ( agent code number 6005337 ) Sonu Komker( Kunal ) Neha started to call me everyday that time Pooja told me that there is a plan in Kotak which is as per my requirement.
                                        In November 2009 they send a person to my office, I gave him 4 cheques for 4 policy & all documents with two signs on each proposal form. Two signs where taken on new proposal form number 12, when I asked they name of the plan they told me sir don’t take tension are company plan is per your requirement as Kotak is one of a trusted brand in market I dint asked more & gave the proposal form ( with two sign ). That time Kunal & Pooja promise me some points on behalf of the company regarding the policy.
                                        1) After completing four years of policy company will directly will provide me a bank account in Kotak Mahendra Bank Pune branch.
                                        2) The company will provide debit card.
                                        3) The company will directly send the pension amount in Kotak Bank which I will able to remove by my debit card.
                                        4) They promise me the sum insured will be more than five lacs.
                                        5) When ever I have some extra money I can top up the policy.
                                        Sir, all the four policy which where login in December 2009 I got it in March 2010, I , found that the policy was not per my requirement, after that time I everyday I started to call all the above three person on [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]. that the policy is not as my requirement, each time they where telling me it has been done by mistake & I will receive all four new policy ( pension plan ) but after June 2010 they all stopped to receive my calls, after that I called on companies toll free number [protected] I spooked to Ram, Kiran, Nidhi, Sudhir, Pretty & some more person several times but each time I got different answer, Kiran told me to take this matter to Punes S.S.road branch (Vega center) & meet Mr.Amit Wagh & Mr. Nitin Shinde.
                                        I meet Mr. Amit Wagh & Mr. Choudhary in branch office two times I should them wrong document regarding my policy.




                                        1) Policy is having 20 years term which I was promise 3 to 5 years.
                                        2) Sum assured is only two lac which I was promise it will be above five lacs.
                                        3) Some one from above three person have signed our duplicate ( Bogus ) sign on the personal form page number two of BENEFIT ELLUSTRATION.
                                        4) In front of them I called Pooja & others but that time also they did not attend my calls.

                                        Sir, I have been totaled misguided & cheated by Kothak Life Insurance; I am very disappointed by the way I am cheated by the advisor & company.
                                        Sir, my humble request to you please give your attention in this matter please cancel all my four policy & return our money without decuting any charges or transfer my amount ( which we have paid ) to the pension plan policy as promise us by the companies advisor we all belong to a middle class family & it is very hard for us to pay for such a long term policy, Sir I request you to take strict action on the personas who have missed guided & cheated us by giving wrong policy , doing a bogus ( duplicate ) sign on the proposal form which is illegal .

                                        I think as a policy borrower it was your mistake to agree and sign and then handover the cheque also.
                                        95% of the sales guys in india have no knowledge of the product, they are left right center mis selling, hnece we should be very careful. it is better you dont invest but dont take such nasty decision and feed your money to these mongers.
                                        i am a victim of bajaj capital who missold me mutual funds and insurances at one go as i had some money to invest but i realised mistake within a year and corrected my self. i lst almost a lakh of Rs. but now i know their trick and have shown the doors to lot of sales guys. thye cannot mess with me.
                                        do not mix your investment with insurance. i[censored] want more money go for MF SIP's. If you want insurance go for term insurance. but do not mix.

                                          I really feel very sorry to state that its nothing more than a plight of a consumer , i am astonished to the fact that how I am been ridiculed.

                                          Fact remains i had always known that insurance is a contract and stands on uberrimae fidei a legal doctrine which governs insurance contracts.

                                          But seems Kotak Life is working on Caveat emptor .

                                          Contract does not have full information and once is sold no botheration about if a person lives or dies , after depositing the premium and giving all requisite documents for mode change and ECS mandate ( which i only has signed ) . A pink form mentioning my account no. and amount ( Rs 5420 ) the mandate was handed over to the KLI staff , along with the mode change form .

                                          The bizarre aspect is first i need to pay higher amount of premium and had deposited Rs. 10900/- ( Voucher no.[protected] as two months premium which is very much honoured by Kotak Bank itself .

                                          I agree to that 'insurance is a subject matter of solicitation' but prima facie insurance is cover and hence what the premium paid for. But with what had happened i don think so that i shall not be able to continue with the policy .

                                          As per the letter attached was it not a duty of any official to intimate me that ECS was rejected and my mail was very much updated with Kotak Life but nothing happened.

                                          A few questions which come to my mind and shivers my soul :

                                          if anything happened to me in the last one month ( counting my days in grace ) and if i met with an accident as i was outstation .If i die anyday the company will easily forfeit the Sum Assured ( Rs 50 Lacs ) and make a fool of my dear ones.
                                          and if i was not an aware consumer i may never knew that my policy is lapsed and when contacting the customer care i get a response please contact the branch as we may not help you.
                                          me fortunate enough me alive else wise my family would had pains for rest of life as they may never known the facts.
                                          i called customer care who assured me that eveything will be resolved and will come back to me but
                                          today also again when i confirmed from your call center Mr. Nishant told me that no request has been recd either for mode change but later he ratified the same ids recd bt on comapny part is not been done and he has confirmed a fact that if i had died since july 12th nothing wud be paid as sum assured and later
                                          I really would had appreciate that some solutions could have been provided rather than sending me a soft copy that too after me approaching you pp. Strange to find in this world of cut throat competition seeing a sleep on attitude by professionals and risking the image of company.

                                          The trail mail was also send to me once i enquired about the same , i really could have appreciated if some solution was provided not the problem.

                                            I HAVE TAKEN LIFE ULIP POLICY FROM KOTAK LIFE INSURANCE PLAN NAME :KOTAK SAFE INVEST PLAN
                                            WHILE SELLING THE POLICY /PLAN AGENT MR.NAYAN SAHOLIYA OF KOTAK LIFE INSURANCE, HAS CONFIRMED FOLLOWING:
                                            1. THERE IS NO EXIT LOAD EVEN AFTER THREE YRS.BUT TODAY I SURRENDER EXIT LAOD AMOUNT HAS BEEN DEDUCTED AND WHEN I ASKED COMPANY THEY TOLD THERE IS A EXIT LOAD IF YOU ARE SURRENDER BEFORE YOUR METURITY
                                            2.I HAVE TOLD HIM I WANT FOR THREE YRS HE SAID OK AND HE HAS FILL THE FORM AND HE MENTIONED PREMIUM PAYMENT TERM 3 YRS NOT POLICY TERM THREE YRS. HE WROTE POLICY TERM 10 YRS.AND HE GAVE ME ORIGINALPOLICY DOCS.AFTER MONTHS SO I COULD NOT CHANGE ANY THING.
                                            3. EVEN HE HAS EXPLAINED THE PLAN THAT U CAN GET YOUR FULL AMOUNT WHICH U HAVE PAID AGAINST YOUR POLICY + 2 TO 3 % INTREST ALSO. NO MATTER YOUR GROWTH FUND IS MAY BE BELOW YOUR AMOUNT.
                                            IT SEEMS THAT HE HAS MISS GUIDED ME TO SELL THE POLICY AND TODAY MORE THAN 5000 RS. HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT AGAINST EXIT LOAD. WHICH IS SURPRISING ME AND MAIN THING THE AGENT IS NOT WITH THE SAME COMPANY AND HE IS NOW WITH ICICI LOMBARD
                                            PLZ LOOK IN THIS AND HELP TO GET THE AMOUNT AND THIS TYPE OF AGENTS TO BE PUNISHED.

                                              I was told to deposit only 3primium and policy will run with benefits and now when i complete it i got notice to transfer it to ACM mode.If I want to surrender it company will pay me only 26000 for my deposite of 36000 Rs.policy no[protected], clent ID NO[protected]

                                                CHEATING BY KOTAK LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEIR STAFF.


                                                On 2nd April I received telephone call from Kotak Life Insurance Mr Raj his mobile no is [protected] and he told there is one very good policy wherein you get 100% return on Ist year’s investment and maximum you can invest is Rs. 80,000/-. I told him to send his representative so that I can have policy done.

                                                Mr Yash Kapoor representative of Kotak his mobile no is [protected] contacted me at my residence in Delhi the policy Kotak super advantage fund is interested I am keen to have policy for all my four family members but in next 2/3 weeks I am shifting my base to Indore, he told me in that case I will get following benefits and address for communication can be changed by giving one letter to Kotak.

                                                1. Life cover of Rs. 8 lacs on investment of Rs. 80,000/-, life cover of Rs. 5 lacs on investment of Rs. 50,000, and life cover of Rs. 4 lacs on investment of Rs. 40,000.
                                                2. I will get cashes medical cards from Apollo DX having monetary value of Rs. One lac.
                                                3. I will get 35% cash back on Ist year policy premium paid by me.

                                                I had taken four policy vide their acknowledgement No.

                                                After a week I received telephone call Mr R Malhotra his mobile no was [protected] he was Manager with Kotak and boss of Mr Yash Kapoor that Ack No OT 943461 (Policy no 1971648) Yashpal Mehra is above 50 and his medical has to be done by doctors of Apollo, thereafter medical was conducted and after one week again Mr R Malhotra gave me call and told me since there is problem in my medical I can’t get Insurance, I will get refund in next weeks time. I insisted to get medical report on the basis insurance was refused on great pursuance I got copy of medical report only 2 pages which was incomplete, (copy enclosed). Mr Amit Chillar from Delhi office of Kotak his e mail id is amit.[protected]@kotak.com was dealing with this but he chose to remain silent on my several mails.
                                                Since I was suppose to shift to Indore on my continuous follow up Mr R Malhotra gave telephone to his boss Mr Bimal Mehta his mobile no [protected] and he has committed to me that following will be done in next 10/12 days this was committed on 16th May 2010.

                                                1. I will get 35% back on my investment of Rs. 2.40 lacs i.e. Rs. 84000/-.
                                                2. I will get 4 medical cards for which he got forms filled vide acknowledgement nos [protected], [protected], [protected],[protected] for which forms were fileld on 24th May and letter stating my correspondence letter was also given representative sent to me by Mr Bimal Mehta was Mr Kabir . (Scan copy of all the four acknowledgements and
                                                Copy of change of communication address is enclosed.
                                                To my utmost surprise instead of sending me refund in name of Yashpal Mehra a policy no 01991308 ws forwarded to me on 19th May received by me around 24th May in which I am policy holder but life is insured of Mr Lucky Mehra for which neither I have given confirmation nor I was informed it will be done. Immediately it was intimated to Mr Bimal Mehta/Mr Rajeev Malhotra and Mr Amit chiller given in writing give me full medical report and refund the letter dt. 22nd May to Mr Kabir scan copy of letter enclosed for medical report/refund of Rs.80000 and change of communication address received by Mr Kabir.
                                                WHAT FOR HOW I HAVE BEEN CHEATED.
                                                1. 35% back on policies done not received till today.
                                                2. Refund promised for OT no 943461 or policy no 1917308.
                                                3. Policy for my wfe ackn. No OT1153878 not received nor refund.
                                                4. Med cards for all above not received till today.
                                                5. Communication address change confirmation not received.
                                                6. The policy issued in favour of sr. no 3 & 4 is half the amount promised.


                                                I TRIED TO CONTACT THEIR PROCESS e mail id [protected]@kotak.com & kli.[protected]@kotak.com but despite giving 10 mails since 22nd may 2010 no satisfactory reply is received.
                                                Several telephones to people those have taken policy they are not responding.
                                                I tried to contact Mr G Murli COO of Kotak Life, Mr Parag Desai MD of Kotak Life, Mr Gaurang shah Director of Kotak Life but in vain they are not replying only forwarding mail to above two e mail ids which is not responding to my queries nor conducting internal inquiry.

                                                NOW THE QUESTION IS THIS RIGHT TO OPEN THE SECTOR TO PRIVATE PLAYERS THEY ARE NOT OFFERING EVEN NORMAL SERVICE HOW THEY WILL SERVICE ON MATURITY OF INSURANCE POLICY.

                                                I REQUESTR IF THROUGH YOUR NEWSPAPER CAN I GET JUSTICE AND WHAT HAS BEEN PROMISED TO ME.

                                                  Dear Sir / Madam

                                                  I have surrendered my policy numbered 00660032 on 21.06.2010 at chennai, with cancelled cheque and surrender request form and got accknowledgement also got a letter of proceesing my request from Kotak 25.06.2010 by Deputy chief manager . I am informed that my payment will be processed within 5 working days.Till now Kotak has not paid my money and telling me different stories each day. I am paying my debts with intrest accrued on it .I request to Kotak to pay me the penalty for mental tension.

                                                      A kotak executive (Ashish - [protected]) contacted me for a Policy in month of March.
                                                      He told me the Plan Kotak Super Advantage Plan with a year installment of Rs. 20,000.
                                                      He told me that along with this Plan, I will get a Sony DVD player and if i will pay him now, I will get an

                                                      additional 12% online Bonus on it.
                                                      He also told me that I will get all these after 45 days when I will recieve my Policy.
                                                      Listining to plan and all these things, I gave him the go ahead and a cheque of Rs. 20,000.

                                                      After few days I got the Policy[protected], but this is not what the executive told me.
                                                      This is something "Kotak Capital Multiplier Plan". I contacted the Executive and tole him this.
                                                      He told me that I must not worry, he will take care of this.

                                                      Again, when noting was done, I contacted him again after 10-15 days. That time he said that I left the Organisation

                                                      and now currently working with ICICI Prudential so I must contact:

                                                      After that he stops picking my calls.

                                                      Then I go to Kotak Branch, Ganga Plaza, Begum Bridge Road, Meerut and told them all this, they said that they will

                                                      not be anle to help me because the policy is taken from Janakpur, New Delhi. I was shocked.

                                                      I took the address of Kotak Life Insurance, Janakpuri, New delhi and reached there.
                                                      There I met Mr. Ankit ([protected]) he told me that Ms. Ritika ([protected]) can help me in this.

                                                      I called her from Kotak Janakpuri office and she assured me that she will give me the solution within 2 days.

                                                      I came back to Meerut and called her after 2 days. Then she said that nothing can be done in this and now none of
                                                      them is picking the phone also.

                                                      Till date i have neither got the Correct Policy, nor the DVD player nothing.

                                                      Please look into this matter asap.

                                                        Dear sir,

                                                        I Lalita krishnaji Mane, a house wife by profession requesting you to look in to matter of repeated selling of policies on false reason by Kotak Mahindra Life insurance co.

                                                        I purchased one policy called Kotak Smart Advantage( UIN107 L043V01 on[protected]. policy no. 01776507 Having premium of Rs.50000/- Per Annum.). The information of this I got on phone call from Neha Gupta phone no. [protected] and Richa Sharma phone [protected].of the same co. They described that the policy will invest 100% in stock market, I will get bonus of Rs. 50000/- on completion of 4th year and capital appreciation will give about 4lak at end of 4th year.

                                                        I started getting panic calls from Delhi and Mumbai offices of co. in month of February 2010 stating that the policy dose not pass IRDA norms and I have to purchase another plan. Later on a phone call from Mr. Akshay Ahuja (Phone No. [protected]) service manager at Andheri office and Mr. Rahul Patil informed me that the policy smart advantage is withdrawn. The only way to cancel it is to buy another policy of kotak then they will sell off the investment in capital market and return the money of cancellation of old policy within 20 days from purchase of new policy.

                                                        I purchased 2nd policy called Kotak Super Advantage ( UIN 107L058VO1; Dated[protected]no. 01897987 having premium Rs. 50000/- per Annam) . I started following Mr. Ahuja for payment of cancellation amount of 1st. policy. He connected me to Mr. Awasthi of cancellation dept on[protected] phone no [protected]. Mr. Awasthi told me that I have to buy another policy of Bharti Axa life insurance of Rs. 50000/- per Annam. as the amount I am getting is Rs. 223315/-return from the first policy.

                                                        I refused to purchase the third policy of different co. On[protected] I got a phone from Mr. Girish Shaha Manager confirmation cell phone no. [protected] that I have to purchase another policy of Bhrti Axa for cancellation of Kotak smart advantage plan and the amount I will get is Rs. 232980/- . I asked him to give me assurance in written form or give me appointment to see his office of Kotak MahidraLife Insurance .He refused both.

                                                        Now all above officers of Kotak Life insurance are silent. They are not lifting phones. and

                                                        I am holding two policies of Kotak life insurance having premium of Rs. 50000/-per year each i.e. Rs. 100000/- total per year. Which is beyond my capacity of income and thus I have been cheated.

                                                        I want that Kotak life insurance should cancel both the policies and return my premium amount with interest. Action should be taken against office bearers who are forcing customers to buy many policies one after the other by false reasons. These people might have cheated many others similarly the mater is to be checked for that. I learned from Pune office that the Kotak Smart Advantage is not withdrawn & these officers Mr. Ahuja Mr. Shaha etc. are untraceable to Kotak Life Insurance Sales dept Pune.

                                                        Kotak Life Insurance — Forcefully given the policy and dropped the cheque - when I asked for the cancellation

                                                        I got several call from Kotak Life Insuarance offering me a policy. The executive Isha said its one time premium policy for 3 years. I found policy was ok. I said yes to her because she was just behind me .. called me lot of time.
                                                        A document collector came to me. I have provided all the documents to him, including a cheque of 30,000/- INR.
                                                        But after this - I haven't received a call from anybody. I tired to reach each and each body whoever called me, but nobody responded me.
                                                        After 3-4 days, I have received a sms saying my policy is getting generated (application#[protected] . I number was there ([protected]) I called him - not to process with this policy because - I lost trust on Kotak ( because after picking documents and cheque nobody called me and not picking up my call too). he said he would call me back. no call I have received, I again tried to reach Isha[protected]. finally I spoke to her and asked to cancell it .. he told me she will get back to me, but she didn't.
                                                        I asked each and everybody not to drop cheqe).
                                                        I tired to reach Kotak Costomer care but no response)
                                                        Finally, I got a sms my cheque was dishounered.
                                                        I again called Isha and to that number which was given to me. :-( nothing seems to be happened.
                                                        Finally was I can see my cheque bounced charges have been cut from Saving a/c in Kotak Mahindra Bank. I want answer from Kotak Life Insuarance what did they do this to me and I want my money back.

                                                          Recently I have been receiving calls from Noida[protected]/87) stating about the 'Kotak Smart Advantage' plan with following features:
                                                          (a) Pay premium of Rs 50,000 per year for three years.
                                                          (b) After three years Kotak Life Insurance returns Rs 2,32,000/= as a maturity value.
                                                          (c) It means on contribution of Rs 1,50,000 your net gain is Rs 82,000 i.e. more than 50%.
                                                          (d) Calculation chart claimed to be from Kotak Life insurance was also provided to me.

                                                          I sent an email to [protected]@kotak.com with the attachment to confirm if such plan with these features exist. Even after two days no email from Kotak has been received. Why no reply from Kotak and what are its intentions?

                                                            Hello everyone,

                                                            Please publish my personal experience with Kotak. I will try to publish this on forums and social community site as much as possible. Because, I have suffered a lot from Kotat and I don’t want anyone else to be a victim of Kotak employees.

                                                            I took one policy from Kotak on the commitment to 200% bonus after 3 years. But there was nothing like this. And I surrendered my policy within freelookup period. Don’t take any policy from Kotak. These days Kotak Insurance sales persons are making lots of falls commitments.
                                                            I had to visit Kotak Insurance 3 time for cancellation of my policy. They asked me for cheque to online transfer. But gave me cheque after deduction all of charges. Even there was fault of Kotak employee.

                                                            I have already registerd for DND days back. Still these days I am receiving lots of calls from Kotak.

                                                            This is the Mail regarding your Mis-usage o[censored]nwanted telephonic calls from your Customer Support Executive.

                                                            Indeed I have told them clearly many times that I am not interested any of the plans but still they continuously trying to harass me on the phone. At times I was travelling, in the emergency meetings, busy scheduled and engagements It got very much an hindrance in my day to day lives. I requested several times on the phone call that please stop calling but calls has not stopped even it got increasing day by day.

                                                            (One Mr.Rizwan) and Delhi Customer support executive said Boss you can complain any time but we could not stop the calls. So I am very fed up and like to complain first to you. Indeed I am myself an MBA from a Premier Institute and very much aware of complianing Formats, so firstly I would like to complain directly to the Company and if still no actions being taken I will directly complain to the consumer court department with details of all the calls received from your Delhi office no.`s and even I can move and write to media people too since I do have my coulegues working in the same department.

                                                            So I would firstly request so to kindly do the necessary action and my details mentioned in undersigned.
