Landlord not giving full refund

Neither he mentioned for the broker did that I have to pay for paint and whitewash in the agreement also during the time of vacating the flat he came to give few amount and rest he assured that he will give afterward at that also also he never said that he will be deducting what all costs then also he didnt say and said he will give rest later now and now he is saying he will not give full refund and deduct money for painitng and white wash this this he never informed that i had to pay during the time of signing the agreement but now all of a sudden he is asking everything that he wont return and also he know thats its broker fault and his that they never informed me about neither did they mention it on agreement.

I stayed for 10 months in 1634, Krishna Gali, Malka Ganj, Delhi-110007 and vacated the flat on 17/04/2023. The landlord, Pawan Gupta, however has not refunded the security deposit yet. Also, he has deducted unjust amount from the deposit for unfair reasons. It has been more than 45 days yet he doesn’t respond to my calls or messages asking for an update. Kindly look into the matter....

Incident: Breach of the agreement mentioned in point no 8 of the rent agreement.
the owner sold the property and now asking me to vacate the property as he needs to get this registry with the buyer. The agreement mentioned 6 months of locking and 1-month notice after the completion of the locking period.
I have asked the owner to get me the property at the same rent in the society or else give me the time frame of 1 month. for which he didn't agree. now I m asking for support in getting me the deviation amount of new rent agreement from my old owner. attached is the agreement copy

My landlord is psycho he just come everyday and started yelling for anything.Its only been one month since we shifted and he got new things daily just yell showing his landlord ego. We just have one cupboard which is huge and we was not able to take it up on 3rd floor due to narrow stairs and less strength of balcony railing and we just keep it outside in shadow. Dispute for security deposit not refunded

I shifted to gurgaon one society in sector 84 gurgaon landlord name is Vinay vaish. Before shifting I sent 34000 to his Citi bank account. 17000 as security and 17000 as advance rent. I always transfer rent to his Citi bank account every month. I left flat on 19 July and handover all keys to flat care taker. Since that day I am chasing them for security amount refund that is left for 12 days. Now they are unnecessarily charging me like 1100 Rs for cleaning and 1000 for chimney service. These things are not mentioned in rent agreement neither they verbally told me. I accepted that and asking them to send rest of the money but from last 10 days they are not responding on calls not even reverting on messages. They are harnessing me from last 48 days.

Mental torture by landlord
I have lived here for the past six months with my younger sister.I live in the third floor. This building only has three floors. She made a lot of claims before being here and is now treated us as a liar and a robber. She and her husband stated that they would lock the terrace and we would not be using it. she treating us as thief and said so many nonsense thing.
She frequently come up and is extremely nasty, stating things like "don't start the water motor" or "don't use the torch." She placed her own stuff in my floor and stated that she will not take or palce owm floor if you have issue then search new room. I informed them that as soon as we got our new apartment, we would leave this one. She then started performing additional tours with her hubby.
She began hrashing us after the first month. We two girls who reside here are having difficult days. I do not have a lease. Please provide recommendations. What ought we to do?

Landlord harassing my husband sending fake mail to his company customer portal ...My husband given 79000 security deposits against high rent paying one month advance in it.
The landlord return only 49662.
My husband have handover last month rent 11000 and addition 3300 cash for ten day extra to him on the next day of hand over after meeting with him at the same home.
We force to leave our house on 10th of July on the auspicious day of Eid.
I am really scared of my husband job.

Dogs trouble have increased
Sir/madam,
I live in nadakkavu, Akathethara grama panchayath near sabari ashram.
In recent times the number of dogs in our area has increased. There are about 15 to 20 dogs. Dogs are causing problems in the locality. People are afraid to even stand outside their own houses and these mad dogs bark and howl at night which disturbs our sleep.
I kindly request you to look into this matter by sending a dog catcher or any other way possible at the earliest.
Consider this as a humble request and do the needful as soon as possible because lives of people and children are in danger

Mentally Torture and Harrasment

Hello, good evening Sir/Mam, I am Dipali. Came to Delhi after getting married. Due to the daily torture of the family members, my husband and I took a separate home on rent.I was searching home from No Broker and other websites.Landlord told about the apartment being available on rent.And I needed a apartment, so I took the apartment with advance payment.I didn't know in the beginning that there are many faults in their apartment.Like the bathroom is not proper, there is only one tap in the bathroom, there is no washbasin, there is issue in the light boards.The day I shifted here to this apartment, I told about the issue of light, then Landlord said, see for yourself.I spent whole the day/night without light.Normally it is the work of the landlord that in which condition the apartment is paying on rent, we still managing. Despite so many faults, Landlord offered us for this apartment for Rs 7000. The price of this house is 7000, from which angle I also told him about this and gave Rs.5500 instead of 7000. The landlord bids the total price of the apartment 7000 with the words of extra balcony at the time of seeing the apartment. After telling about the fault of the apartment, he took 5500 silently but asked to pay the rent on next month. I am the only one working in my house.Just after the 10th of February this landlord started irritating continuously to pay the rent. If the work is not completed then the salary did not come, like this I told the landlord, even when the payment comes, I will pay and he told me like this too. But the landlord did not listen, he went on talking after leaving one day and has been coming again and again to speak for money. I am already facing troubles and it asked me to leave the house after this month's payment. I will leave the house but now my landlord has cut the water and leave the apartment quickly. I tried to start water to him and pay the water bill but till now no reply has come from him also ignoring. He is torturing me for rent because he has to building another 3rd floor. Today on 25th Febuary it has shut off our water from 1 o'clock in the afternoon. my landlord name is Ajay Solanki and this number is [protected]. This landlord is harassing me by messaging again and again, so my husband messaged then its ego got hurt and it said us to leave apartment .Sir/Mam my request is to you to understand us and this landlord too there is no limit to torching anyone's like that. Excessive electricity money

My landlord charges 8Rs per unit for electricity, every month he charges above thousand Rupees as per the meter he installed eventhough I don't use any electronic luxuries like TV, refrigerator, cooler/AC or washing machine. I don't earn much and I'm facing a lot of problem due to excessive electricity money. I need help urgently

not fulfilment of commitment and demanding unjustified rent

I moved in a flat which was promised to be semifurnished and since at the time it was wasnt my landlord promised to get almirah constructed and get kitchen modular after i shift in which i gave permission to. But he used this permission in unjustified way, got hall and a room blocked for a month for construction, getting some of additional almirah features too contructed which was not given me too use and construction of kitchen started without prior info to move stuffs and thus ruining my grocery. It was said by landlord before contruction started that worker will only work in hall and will clean up hall clearly before i come and i dont have to face any problem but it wasnt done in this way, one room was only provided to me during whole construction time. On complaining he said that since i faced problem he can waive off rent for that month but to which we agreed to pay half of rent as i had one room occupied. Now he is asking me the whole rent of the month.
He had promised to provide gyser and microwave too which he didnt and instead he had some bed which he wasnt using and ddnt had space to keep at his place, he provided so to use me to which he always says that i have provided more than i committed.
As per rent agreement i have given him 1 month prior notice to vaccant the flat to which he replies that since it was not given on 1st of month hence i cant leave the flat else i wont be given back security money at all which is about 14k.
As per rent agreement he had to take rent through check or online payment but when i moved in he started to ask it in cash so that he dont have to pay tax on it. I even said that providing rent in cash is tough for me but he ddnt agree.
Most of the time he would yell or shout when confronted.
Please do help or provide suggestion.

I had registered agreement till july 2019 and still, my landlord wanted to vacant flat for selling purpose. Suddenly sent his broker to show flat without informing me. Though the agreement was of 28k per month, he fought and use to take 29k from me. His mother abused me in the month of october and since then he told to directly talk to him for any matter. Since my husband's grandmother was expired we wanted to stay in jan but he told to give double rent. Due to which we vacated his flat on 8th jan 2019. Our lock, wall clock and gas is inside which they are not giving. Also remaining deposit not giving. When i called gautam, he told if i call again for money he will do police complaint. He is blackmailing me. I myself did police complaint against him but no action is taken as he resides in mumbai. He says to police he cannot come to mumbai leaving his job.
Kindly help me.

cheating and breach of trust

I pankaj kumar is staying in flat no 501, a-4, siddharth nagar chs ltd, borivali east, mumbai 400066, from 1st sept, 2015. The owner of this flat is mr. Naresh kumar jain.
At present i am paying rent of rs. 23, 500/- per month, which is very hefty for me to continue. I have been paying owner the rent on time through neft bank transfer. Monthly rent was paid in advance.
I found a house as per my affordability i. E. Rs 18000/- per month. I informed my landlord on 1st march’18 that i want to vacate his house on 31st march ‘2018 and he needs to return my security deposit of rs.100, 000/
He refused to return my security deposit, despite of one month notice period as per agreement and asked me to continue to stay in house at same rent.
I requested him to decrease rent because i will not be able to pay rent rs. 23, 500/- per month.
This greedy man is neither decreasing monthly rent nor allowing me to leave the house and refund my money.
The issue is already brought to notice of the society but they have not taken any action on the landlord.
Request you help me getting my money back. I cannot stay in a house owned by dishonest and greedy person.

taken advantage rent then disagree to repair the house

I contacted mr sampat navale for taking his flat on rent in kharghar kh4 in vastu vihar, navi mumbai. He showed us the flat and promised to get the repairs done before we shift there. Took advance $15000 on 2nd of the month. After taking the money he refused to get the repairs done and told us to repair the flat on our own. Also pressured us to give the deposit amount $75000. We refused since he did not seemed bothered to repair the house and was very greedy for money. We finally refused his flat on 7th of the month after his continuous refusals on carrying out the repairs. Also he has refused to return the advance rent for whole month. We even told him to deduct rent for one week and return the rest but he did not return our money.

I am complaining about my landlord who charges exorbitant for every thing

I, hemanth kumar, civil services aspirant, have taken a flat for rent in the vicinity of my institute on 16th july 2017. For showing this flat to me, broker charged rs. 4500 (Half of the rent). It is a norm here in hyderabad. And landlord knows this. He came to know that we are vulnerable now once we get into the flat as he can threaten me to vacate that if i don't comply with his unreasonable rules. Before joining this flat he said clearly that there won't be any water charge and water will be provided 24x7. Everything was fine for some days. My landlord has a building which has 8 flats. He lives in one flat and remaining 7 flats are given for the rent for students who are preparing for various government examinations.in the initial days everything was fine for some days. Then suddenly water stopped coming. And water in the night time became an item of luxury. When i asked the same he threatened me to vacate the flat by saying "if you don't like the flat just vacate it.. You are always complaining about the water". Then i said, if i can't complain you whom should i then? After some days, he came and collected rs. 300 as water charge from everyone and said "don't you want water for 24x7?". That means he said "if you want water then pay rs. 300 every month... Otherwise you won't get". This clearly tells how greedy person he is and how vulnerable we were.
I live alone in my flat and i told him i will be living alone as i didn't get anyone to share my flat. He is charging rs. 8700 for 1 bhk i am living in. When my friends came to visit me and stayed for some days, he confronted with me and said why your friends are coming frequently. Then i said "friends and relatives commonly visit now and then". He insisted them to not to come. Then i said "why don't you consider them as my roommates". Then he said nothing.
Today, 09th september, 2017, he came to my room and said your friends are not allowed to come here. When you joined, you said you will be living alone but why are your friends coming now and then. Then i said why don't you consider him as my roommate as you are charging another flat rs. 8500 for two people but you are charging me rs. 8700 for living alone. Then he said "no.. You can't share your room with anyone because you said you will live alone when you came here. If you can't follow what i am saying just vacate the flat".
Sir/madam, i am writing this complaint on behalf of 8 students living in different flats. He allowed 2 people to share a single room for rs. 8500, 4 people for rs. 11, 000 but he is refusing me to share a room with my friend. He collected the power bill from everyone for 15 days. He collected from me rs. 500 for 15 days which is obviously too much. He thinks he is out of the reach of the law. We all are ready to complain against him. He comes every now and then and asks for this charge that charge. He is depriving us of much needed peace to study properly. We all 7 will go to any extent to complain against him as he breached the boundaries and whatever he is doing is nothing short of harassment. He is harassing not only me but everyone. not refunding security amount
I stay at omkar road, dehradun in a pg. My landlord at the time of moving in told me that notice period is 1 month. On 1st sept i tell her that i will be leaving on 1st oct. Please adjust my rent against security. She says this will not happen. According to her, i should have told her on 1st aug that i will be leaving on 1st oct (Defination of 1 month notice according to her).

Respected sir,
I am umashankar singh, working in a private organization, living in a rented house with my wife and an infant. My rented house addres is: house no 37, 1st floor, pocket 52, cr park, new delhi, pin: 110019. I am staying there for last 2 years. Presently my land lord is irritating me continuously and quarreling to leave the house and saying that they will call the police and that that are senior citizens hence, police will favor them. Any time they enter into our house and argue with us and say that "this is my house i can enter into room any time". My land-lord also not does not give me the monthly house rent bill. As per the current context i shall need time to relocate. They're both 60years plus and it's difficult to argue with them. Their son (Residing somewhere else) is driving them for this misbehavior. Ineed time how do i deal with this issue legally please help me out.

Presently my land lord is irritating me continuously and quarreling to leave the house and saying that they will call the police and that that are senior citizens hence, police will favor them. Any time they enter into our house and argue with us and say that "this is my house i can enter into room any time". My land-lord also not does not give me the monthly house rent bill. As per the current context i shall need time to relocate. They're both 60years plus and it's difficult to argue with them. Their son (Residing somewhere else) is driving them for this misbehavior. Ineed time how do i deal with this issue legally please help me out.

Any time they enter into my house and argue with my wife and use to tell that "this is my house i can enter into room any time". My land-lord also not giving me the monthly house rent bill. As per current context i am not able to change. I need time what ever is legal time to vacate.

Landlord Harassment - Continuous Harassment for each day

Hi, I am working in a private company and staying in Chakala(J B Nagar), Andheri East. My landlord is daily harassing me for each and everything.
Points of Harassment -
1) Make food only once in a day and that too don't take more than half hour for that.
2) Wash clothes once in a week and that too time bounded.
3) Fridge is not allowd to use, if we are putting our basic things into fridge like floor dou, milk etc, then she will shout.
These are few things mentioned above and if anything went bound time bounded, then she will mentally harass the girls.
Anyhow i am searching for a new PG/Flat, but till time being i am not getting i am getting mentally harassed by her.
Please take strick action against the lady.

Harassment from Landlord

This complaint is regarding Col. Jatin Kataria and his Wife, House No. 135, Vikranth Shastri Marg, Defence Colony, Sector 17A, Gurgaon. I have all the emails that I exchanged with Mr. Kataria documenting everything as proof. I also have a video where he got violent on a friend of ours who came to help us shift out of his house.
My sister and I (both working in reputed companies in Gurgaon) shifted to this address on 1st October 2016 and our landlord and landlady forced us out of this place on 28th January 2017 without giving any reason. We had a lot of money and effort (with regards to Brokerage, Security, Moovers & Packers, Cabs etc) tied up to this place and they forced us out in just 4 months. His wife used to shout at us every few days for no reason and wrongly commented on our character. She even disrespected and lashed out on our mother when she came to visit us. We have not once created any nuisance or caused any trouble to our landlords which he also agrees to (as per email) but still he forced us out.
When we brought this issue forward to Mr. Jatin Kataria via email, hoping that we would be able to talk and resolve whatever issues we are facing, he abruptly asked us to vacate the room.
Also, it came to our notice (via neighbors, security personnel, garbage person), that he used to highly overcharge us on various bills like Security, Garbage etc. and when we wrote him an email about this he rudely asked us to leave his place.
His wife used to create issues related to garbage boy and other silly stuff. As per decided earlier, the garbage person was supposed to pick up our garbage from outside our flat on 1st floor but she never used to allow it even after we used to pay Rs.125 per month for just garbage. Then gradually she started shouting at us on other small issues like delivery boys coming to our place to deliver Water, General store goods, dominos etc. and wrongly commented on our character stating we do not have good character since these guys are coming to our place delivering our stuff.
We have moved out from this place but we still need someone to take action against such landlords. We rented this place since we thought that they were good civilized, literate people considering Mr. Kataria is an ex-Indian Army and that we as girls would feel safe and at home here. But to our dismay, even such qualified people have put us down.

Hi,
I don't know if these problems are taken seriously or not.I am staying in Koramangla 4th block, mad with my owner, he is not giving the money deposited in time.. Asking me for the keys of house whle packing is going on and seriously does not know how to speak. He is lawyer and abuses his position to greater extent, always scream like uncivilized street drunkards. i dont know what to do, do not feel talking to authorities because had been on wrong side of authorities due to language barrier many times. Any help wold be appreciated. Going mad day by day. Thanks

Reluctant in giving security deposit

I'm a tenant at in a 1bhk at #30 sowmya, svk layout, basaveshwaranagar, banglore. I am staying there since last 6 months from 1july, 2016. I'm sharing this flat with another girl and we are sharing all the expenses equally. I'm shifting, but we are not vacating the house as my roommate is getting a replacement for me who will stay and share the expenses equally. But my landlord is deducting around 15k from my security deposit, asking 10k for painting and 5k for maintenance.
According to the agreement, the painting charges are to borne equally from the two tenants at the time of vacating the house. He is charging double the amount of the actual painting cost. I went to the hardware store myself and inquired about the charges, which came around 9500/ including labor.
When i showed him the quotation that i got from the painting shop, he did not listen. He did not even let me come inside his house to talk about the charges.
He is deducting money fraudulently which is not at all acceptable.
Through this complaint, i'm requesting consumer court to please help me out.
Ps: i'm attaching the agreement copy.

Flat owner deduct money from deposit

I have a complaint against my Flat owner. On vacating the flat he has deducted rs 5000/-( out of total 40000/-) on the name of cleaning and touchup of flat.
I inquired online on what legally can be deducted by landlord from deposit amount and i found below info:-
1. Holes in walls
2. Broken Tiles
3. Broken Walls
4. Removing paint if any done by tenant
5.Tears, holes or burn marks on carpet or curtains
6. Broken windows
7. Broken Doors and locks
8. Appliances broken.
9. Clogged drains

None of above things applied in my case.
list of things that are generally considered as normal wear and tear which according security deposit law cannot be deducted from Security Deposit:-
1.Faded paint
2. Broken plumbing
3. Dirty blinds and curtain.
4. furniture mark in carpet
5. Dusting
And many other things.
We have not done any pin holes in walls to hang any item (watch or pictures)
I have read that owner may be sued if he is unable to provide a written description of deductions . I have dropped him a mail asking for details but he is not responding. Neither he is reading the watsapp messages.
I want the deducted amount to be refunded to me as he is not having any proper clarification for deductions.
Regarding his unprofessional and rude behavior:-
1. Asked us to leave early but demanded full month rent:-
Rent Agreement dated- Apr 15 to Feb 16. He asked us in Feb that he will be increasing the rent from April, so if we can pay the increased rent we can continue to stay in the flat. It was agreed that if we stay till March we can continue to stay at the same rent we were giving. But suddenly in March 1st week he asked us to vacate the flat by 27th Mar as his parents would be visiting Pune and will be staying in that flat. We decided to vacate the flat early by 20th Mar (as we were getting a flat ready immediately) and informed him, But he wanted rent to be paid for full month.
We had to argue with him on not paying the full rent if we are leaving early, later he agreed to return the excess rent along with deposit but asked us to pay full moth rent for that time.
2. No communication for deposit return:-
it was agreed that he will return the deposit by 1st week of April and accordingly we planned our expenses ( paying deposit/rent) for new rented flat but the flat owner did not make any contact till 8th April, When he just sent a watsapp message that he transferring amount and deducting 5000/- for cleaning, painting. And then he ignored all our queries on deductions, we tried contacting him by several ways, his relatives also did not pick my calls. After too many attempts, he called me and said he would be replying to my mail but no reply received.
3. While we stayed there, we reported few issues in his flat, he asked us to get it repaired on our own expenses as he will not be paying anything. We got the taps repaired on our own expenses.
He is based in US but currently in India. We have only one contact number which is o[censored]S.

I am sushil malhotra I would like to draw your kind attention on the problem being
faced by h/49 gautam chonk uttam nagar New Delhi-59.
The landlord left a chunk of waste material like old animal dead bodies, newspapers,
fruit baskets, etc in stairs, which are lying there since last 4 years.The tenants
have no sense of cleanliness.There is no door of roof due to which stray animals like
dogs & cats keep on littering the roof with garbage causing breeding of mosquitoes.Due
to the storm of yesterday all the waste matter has spread in stairs.The tenants have
refused to clean the area & the landlord hardly visits his apartment.The continuous
littering of garbage may result in spread of Dengue & Malaria, for which North Delhi
Municipal Corporation needs to be taken care of well in time Sincerely.
Sir request you to please help me with the situation get cleaned the plot in left of
my house.

Owner is not returning my advance after vacating thr the flat

I lived in a rental house for 3.5 years (from April'2011) & initial rental agreement made for 11 months with advance Rs. 60K. but for next year the agreement is not renewed & there was no discussion happen on agreement renewal & hike in rent for second year. But 3rd year myself decided to give 10% hike along with previous year & informed the same to Owner, same was paid thereafter.
I looked for a new house in July'14 end...
