I have been residing at olive courtyard Kakkanad for the past 3 years . They do change the securities every now and then. But all of them are of the same behaviour.rude and arrogant. if we miss to take the olive id card at the olive gate as well as beneath the building we are being treated like some terrorist or trespassers. Securities can do their job but not by eating the ears of the tenants. I can enter my office which is a MNC even if i missed to take my Id card. But not the place were I stay without one. Even if we missed to take the Id card we are treated with respect and an alternate solution is provided at our office.but here we need to hear all the rude dialogs what the securities say before we enter to olive for not having an id. This is ridiculous.

It's always good to make a place secure . There are other flats out there too which maintain security. But that is by restricting the entry of strangers and not by restricting the entry of people whom we want to meet. We are individuals with social connections and there by friends and family might visit . Even if it's not friends or family how does it concern olive as long as we are not indulging into something illegal.what right does olive own to decide whom and why we should meet someone. This is realy disgusting. Even hostels are far better. For security purpose they can collect the adhar or Id numbers and allow the visitors in or else could have made some system like igate app like were the occupant can decide wether that particular visitor need to be allowed in.all that is understandable. But the current policies is highly irritating.

It's olives rule that tenants should have an Id card . They are charging 1000 rs per individual for an Id card .even the corporate offices won't charge such a huge amount for getting an ID.we are paying rent, maintance fees n everything . and they why do they charge such a huge amount. Even if 1000 rs for all occupants of a flat would have made some sense. What is this 1000 rs per head for ?

I have been living in olive courtyard for the past 3 months.Initially when I came, I was mindblown by the walkway and also the balcony view and took 2 bhk flat with 60k security and 20k rent. But once we started living thr I started to experience the bitter "unwritten" rules in olive courtyard.I have heard that olive has always been rude to bachelors but I didnt expect ths much.We are living here as if we are living in a hostel, even after paying this much.Visitors are not allowed here. Also we r forced to pay a brokerage of 10000 apart from the security and they call it the association fee. Also we have to pay 1100 for id card and separate fee for vehicle stickers, water, gas, electricity and home care.Boys r not allowed to visit girls flat and the vice versa..I doubt in which era these guys are living...None of this was said when we were abt to join the flat.Their calls asking for association fees will overtake all the advertisement calls and is very irritating if we r at work. The main issue I would like to point out is brokerage, unnecessary fees, restriction on visitors.

I have been living here for past 4 months without any complaints. We are a group of 3 bachelors. Recently after watching a match a few of my friends came to visit us for refreshment and return in the night. But the arrogant and rude caretaker didnt allowed us to get them inside my flat listing some filthy unneccessary rules. I would strongly recommend to change the staff especially caretakers and take some new people who knows to behave properly.

The tenants are not allowed to entertain any of their guests. This is something that has been enforced by the Residents Association without any written rule. All the tenants are provided Gate passes and the security guards are instructed to prevent anyone without a pass from entering the Compound. This includes anyone accompanying a tenant.

Recently, aged parents of a tenant were forced to return after they were refused entry at night. The Association has not issued any written rule in this regard and nothing has been displayed on the notice board as well. As a result, none of tenants are able to know of this until they have an embarassing experience.

I am of the impression that any tenant can entertain guests so long as it obliges to the social & legal code of conduct.

This is very true and is causing great inconvenience to all o[censored]s and most o[censored]s are forced to bear with this due to the lack of time and support to challenge the Association.

The Association is enforcing rules according to their convenience without putting them down on paper or informing us.

After paying rents between Rs. 12000 & Rs. 22000 & Security deposits equivalent to 4 months of rent, we are living like in Hostels with Gate passes & no entry for our guests.

The Olive Management better take necessary steps to control the Association's activities as it is being handled by few individuals who are very biased towards a group of residents and trying to protect their interests using the Association.
