HDD Warranty replacement

My Seagate HDD was not being recognized by the Windows OS. The HDD was well within warranty period. I gave it to Accel Frontline Service Bangalore (No.2 & 3, New Raj Building, Above Andhra Bank, N R Road, Bangalore - 560002) for warranty replacement. They gave me the HDD a week later stating that it was fixed/repaired. When I came back and set-up the HDD, the same issue occurred. This is the amount of professionalism demonstrated. I have...

My hard disk of 500GB with serial number 2GE6NJ04 is not being detected by any of the laptops and desktops. I have just bought it from USBIANS, Gaurav Tower in July 2010. It has a 5 years warranty. Pls resolve the problem as soon as possible. Thank you.

Seagate — Not Respond

I have submited my faulty Seagate 80GB HDD to main dealer named Bhavin Sales & Services.
But I still not get response though my HDD in warranty of 5 years.
so please help me and try your best.
Waiting for positive answer...................
Find and contact the seagate service centre. You must get a replacement. Keep the bill and warranty card very secure. I'd also suggest you read the manual, specifications, etc material received with the HDD because you could even get a 1TB HDD as a replacement.
It is for your kind information that the Seagate 160 GB external HDD whose
Sl No : 5RFOD106 & Part No: 9NH2E4-575 has become unserviceable and it is under warranty till 16 Jun 2013. The matter has already been intimated to "Indepth" Ambala Cantt who is the authorized servicing centre of seagate 16 days back. Till date no response from them...

It is requested to intervene on the subject...otherwise this delay will create a bad impression on seagate company and products...

    Seagate Hard Drive — Bad sector

    I purchased a segeate hard disk drive two years ago but now it is not working properly because of bad sector. i want to get replace this but service provider has denied. what solution of this?

          Hi I am Rahul.I had buyed 2 Harddisk in August 2009, One got out of order with in a week,another in 3 months,In the month of dec I got one of them replaced but in july 2010 I am again faceing the same trouble with this harddisk.this replaced harddisk is making some sought of sound and computer is not able to detect it. one of my friend is facing the same problem with seagate harddisk.and most disgusting thing is I am not able to Complaint about this problem since i have been provided with lot of phone numbers and none of them is working almost all are temporarily out of order and if anyone working then you will get a new contact number from that number.so i would like to suggest all my friends not to go for any seagate product.

                I have a portable external hard drive, namely Seagate FreeAgent Go. The computer is not being able to sense it, although the indicating light on the external hdd is blinking when the hdd is connected to the computer via the usb.                   Hard disk when ever i load the xp professional they automatically
                  deleted the load file always xp load the blue screen come and restart..
                  I have rather had and 80 Gig (Walmart) external drive. It was pure JUNK! It actually worked well for the first year, of which I rarely used it, but after heavy use (namely my dissertation) it crashed. Now I will have to pay anywhere between 3 and 10 times the price to have it recovered. Trying to find someone locally (Atlanta Metro Area). It seems that everyone that I knew who bought this brand has had the same problem despite model. I wish I could send it back to the company in pieces with take your junk back attached to it, but first I have to have my dissertation recovered.

                  PLEASE, PLEASE do not buy into their "We will recover your data scheme" this is just a ploy where you spend approximately $1500 and they place in a new drive and tell you that your data could not be recovered.

                  Please spread the word on this company. The faster the word can get around on it the faster it will shut down. I hate their products and service. Hate it! Support your local computer store as well. I am coming to realize that they care more about the customer than Wal-Mart. Also some of those guys are extremely skilled at data recovery at a fraction of the price.

                    I had given my 400 GB HDD for replacement to Accel Frontline service Ltd on[protected] vide call ID SGTAHM[protected]DW. They give me SMS that your HDD will be replaced within 5/7 days. Already more than 21 days passed away but till today I had not received any reply from them.
                    Today I had phoned there & contacted Miss Rimple & Miss Monica asking the status of my HDD but they replied me very badly. I had also asked tall free no of seagate & they gave me no as[protected]. I had tried that no from my landline aswell as mobile phone but I can not contact seagate. Then again I call them for giving me correct no but they replied that this is the toll free no of seagate, we dont have any another no & behaviour of both ladies is very bad on phone. How bad & careless answer. I request you to take concern action against them.
                    Also send my replaced HDD at an earliest please.

                      I am facing huge trouble in registering customer id from URL "http://myservice.accelwms.in/" as this is not functioning for last 3-4 days. I am not able to understand it's significance (registration of customer id), this could be avoid & we people can meet direct to service center in person.

                            I have procured a new 160GB SATA HDD. For almost two to three months I didn't use that HDD. Later on when I try to use that HDD, it's not working. I can't able to format of create partitions on that HDD.

                              i have bought a seagate hard disk at the shop called GLOBE COMPUTECH near gajuwaka.my hard disk power supply cable pins were melt and two pins of power suupply of hard disk are just disturbed by the melting of the plastic cable.when i took it to the shop they were telling that hard disks which were damaged by burning will have no warranty and you have to buy a new one.but i came to know that my friends have got the same problem and their hard disks were replaced.


                              another question is that does the hard disk works even if the pins were melt?

                              I faced the same problem. The Power cable melt, but the drive worked with a new cable. But after a month the disc failed. It is getting powered but it not reading. Their Service Centre and Support Website have both rejected the replacement Claim, saying that the Warranty is void. They have not explained how it is not their fault that the drive has failed in such a way. It is sad that rather than investigating and solving the issue, they are simply avoiding responsibility.

                              GLOBE COMPUTECH in Gajuwaka the centre is very bad. He use all parts is low quality & his computer engineer is very very bad person. they don't know work properly.I requst to all don't buy your computer at GLOBE COMPUTECH.

                              unwilling booting problem

                              i bought a seagate produt{500gb sata hard disk}on 10th july,2011..on 23rd april i've faced a thechnical problem including withu the hard disk.......
