SunDirect DTH OTA upgrade issues

I am using SunDirect DTH, It has pushed some OTA updates on their own without my consent and knowledge. It doesn't even asked YES or NO to upgrade the software. So From 18/3/2023 onwards, set top box started giving a message of ota upgradation and will restart automatically. Its been 3 days now neither it is getting upgraded nor working fine. Until the mentioned date it was running smooth and fine. When i contacted customer care they assigned a technician. Technician is now saying that the set-top box is not getting upgraded and said to purchase another set top box on a cost of rs. 875/-. When i inquired with the technician i got to know that the same ota upgradation is successfully done in some other set-top boxes and working fine. And the saddest part is technician said the he is not going to give any service report/device inspection report like what is the problem in device, whether it is resolvable or not, if it needs to be replaced with new what is the cause for such replacement. And he also confirmed that there is no such policy from sun direct
Now confirm me why should i pay rs.875/- for another set-top box where there no mistake of mine
1. Because of the ota push form the backend the technical error occured and now the box is not working
1. I have not asked for any upgradation on my existing set-top box

Not able to add FTA channel

I am existing customer of sundirect services . It’s expensive always . So this time I tried recharging the basic FTA pack ( which includes only free channels like DD at Rs 58 ) . But most channels mentioned in it are not visible. I called customer care 5 times till now . They are like you should yourself add FTA channels o[censored]a choice in our website by logging in . I did everytng and still I am not able to watch it . Such a bad service . Since it’s a basic pack they are least bothered . Because all their other packs are very expensive . Really disappointed planning to switch the DTH company .

I did my sundirect recharge through their app and did my payment through paytm.The amount has been deducted from my account, but they say recharge has failed and not one of their customers care number/email is answered.
Please repay my money. And i also tried to login to the sundirect app but i have forgotten the password and i dont use the registered mobile number anymore, resetting password is impossible without the registered number, and it is impossible to change the number without knowing the password .Worst customer service

Recharge Done but channels are not activated DTH issue
Every month When I recharge the sun direct DTH, after recharge, I need to make a call to them to activate the channels.
This time it was the worst experience. I recharged the DTH on 3rd November from their Sundirect app. After 3 hours I called them to activate the recharge plan. They have raised a complaint and said that 24hrs-48hrs, this problem will be cleared
After 24hrs again I called them (this time new person) and he said that he u r complaint is open it'll take 24hrs-48hrs.. we regret for the inconvenience. after 72 hrs, on 6th November, again I called them, now another person took the call and said u r previous complaint is not solved and it was closed. He created another complaint and he said within 15min to 2hrs, this issue will be solved. After 2 hrs, I called them.. now another girl. Now she was saying, Somebody opened a new complaint about your issue and this will be resolved in 24hrs-48hrs not in 15 min to 2 hours. somebody misguided you, sorry for the inconvenience. Still the issue is not solved. I don't know whom to approach.. How silly is this...? I paid the amount clearly and the recharge was successful. Even to every customer care person, I shared my Transaction ID also. Please reply back and let me know how to deactivate this DTH connection... Really worst service by SunDirect DTH.

recharged twice and money deducted but couldn't get the channels connected
I recharged my sun direct dth twice one is on 16/05/2020 8.16 pm i received top up confirmation message with rs 219 to my phone but channels were not coming then i did recharge again on 17/05/20 with rs 219 again but unfortunately my money deducted both time but my channels not connected i was contacted customer service more than 7 times to solve this mut i totally disappointed with their service they didn’t help me with this issue then i recharged with an agent again then the channels are connected so i lost my money which is i had recharged twice before my smart card number[protected]

In sundirect DTH, that have separate rules to SETUPBOX and Remote, if remote internal problem thay change the remote free of cost.
But internal problem in SETUPBOX thay cannot change free if cost, collecting fee as thay norms.
I contacted sundirect customer care, The representative who talk to me said that the rules of our company we follow.
Please note of this and take necessary action on this complaint. I have recorded voice call.

disabling the channels in the middle after recharge

We have recharged sun direct 1 yr recharge pack after one month they automatically disabled two channels named ntv and etv life then i contacted to customer care and they restarted the channels and that problem repeated three times in three months and now they disabled the 6 channels ntv, v6 news, etvlife, 10tv, hmtv and t news. Im unable to contact their customer service numbers they have started a new process we have to give a missed call and they will contact us but i tried 100 times they are not contacting me in return.

I am trying to reach sundirect customer service to find solution to following mentioned difficulties that i am facing:
1. I want to change by base package and accordingly i chose the amount and recharged through sun direct app, still it is saying that i have to personally call the customer care and need to request them to change the base package. But no one is responding from sun direct team.
2. I wanted additional channels, thus i am trying to recharge through the bouquets available in the app and i am unable to do so.
Tried reaching the team a lot many times but no response. How do i get my issue sorted.
This is the second time i am escalation sundirect dth teams response.
It is a very horrible situation.

Hi my CDN no:[protected] i activated zee prime pack telugu hd pack on 20/06/19, but zee telugu hd was not coming after complain again they activated that channel from my account unnessesary why i have to activate a channel twice in a month they are suggest to speak&complain again ill complaing to consumerforum also... if not refund my money...

refund of excess amount paid towards package

Hi,
My account # is [protected] and i bought this connection on 29th may 2018.in the month of july 2018 (28th july) by paying rs.5600 for one year complete subscription. The plan i choose was "mega hd tamil pack" that included all channels.
Suddenly for past few days since last week of feb or 1st week of march, i am not getting many channels and i see that the plan has been changed by sundirect without informing me nor without my permission. They have changed the plan to "hd tamil dpo 2 package basic" package which is only rs.300 or 320/ month and they are not giving many hd channels.
My actual renewal is 30th aug 2019 so sundirect should either continue the same plan which i was using before else disconnect the dth and refund me the balance amount for the remaining months till august 2019 (6 months).
If i calclulate 5600/12 months it is rs.467 and now they have changed to rs.320 plan. So sundirect must refund rs. 140 difference since they have put me in rs. 320 plan.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sir, Sundirect DTH provider has abruptly changed the my pack of h d mega, with a validity up to 7/2019. And deducted my balance money also.Kindly and resume my old pack and credit my amount.as per the instructions of TRAI regulations the old pack is to be considered.

I have done a 6 months recharge for my tv dth, they have chnged that plan with out informing me anything and they are ordering to pay more to get channels. On top of that im not able to reach their customer care from the last 2 months. Im not sure why trai has introduced this selection options, its literally making customers annoying, because if we go to any dth provider they are pusing all the blame to trai.

channels disconnected without any intimation - even after receiving the pay for it

Sundirect DTH - one year offer given, fully paid for it, now some channels are not displaying and i am trying to contact customer care for the last 2 days, but i unable to connect with them, mentally i upset,
For one year plan i have paid the full amount, suddenly sundirect DTH stopped so many channels without any intimation, if any necessity to stop them all, they have to call me and get confirmation from me to take some action to manage the situation, i tried many times through their customer care number, live chat, etc., unable to contact, i waited nearly 11 mins in call, they have disconnected my call.please do the needful

I purchased sundirect hd set top box on 22 april 2019. On the same day it is hanged. I asked the man who fixed the box. He said he will replace. But later he is not responding. Now is asking to call online service centre. Box cost 2600/-. I want money back.pls help my number [protected]

repeated signal problem e 48_32

I have purchased the sundirect connection for more than a decade. But now a days the signal problem, service issues have occuring repeately. It seems the service lost the image or looting the people money by structreing the bad service or signling issue.
Its is very sad to write here that the company is charging the customer for same problem occuring because of their service fault or signal fault again and again and making the customers dissatisfied with the dth service.
The company service dealers, techinicians, customer care are a such a pathetic worst behaviour peraonalities never give proper solution or proper response.
I fed up of calling these customer care for the service issue and techinicians who always ready charge 150 bucks each time in a month for same problem again and again and the customer care people says its company rule by that only they make service. Such a worst service provider.
Please find the service compalints lodged in a month about just 15 days gap for same problem, again charge for service.

replacing hd set top box by sun direct with new hevc box

I have been using sun hd for last 5 years. When i was renewing my annual subscription, i was told i will not be able to subscribe hd any more because my set top box needs to be upgraded and i have to pay 699/- + taxes for that. This is brutally unfair. I don't know where to complain. I hope this gets some attention here. Subscription id is [protected]

incorrect details updated for smartcard

I took a new hd connection from sundirect dth on 12th september 2018 and provide the driving licence as address proof. The technician made the mistake updated our mobile number for other customer smart card number.
So i have received the other customer card details and which created while top-up for 3200 for annual recharge done to wrong smart card number.
When i contacted the customer care they provide the bangalore distributor number but after many followups also the distributor cannot locate the other customer address information and mobile number.
This is very worst incorrect details in sundirect database creating many issue for customers.
Please take action against sundirect dth company for not maintaining correct customer database.
So i have received the other customer card details and which created while top-up for 3200 for annual recharge done to wrong smart card number.

hd set top box non placement to hevc
I preferred hd set top box over sd and bought hd box 3 years ago though it costs more. For the last 2yrs i am viewing sd channels as per assurance of sun direct that i can change/subscribe hd channels at any time.
Today when i contacted for hd channels subscription they told that my hd set box will no longer work. They told me to pay 699+ service charge to get upgraded hevc box. Then i asked "why should i pay, and it's already a hd box. When you upgraded software, you have to replace it with no charge." then they told they replaced it for some customers only. I don't understand this partiality.
When i bought hd set top box for higher price, they ought to replace it.

I am very much thankful to you for introducing the worst company sundirect
to indian market, And making fool to the customers.
I was already using tata sky dish, and i was satisfied with there service, But actually what happened one day while i was sitting on a bus stop, i saw your advertisement, that sundirect is one of the cheapest with good services and will give 6 months free channels etc. etc. to our new valued customers. i was brainwashed by your advertisement.and i replaced my tata sky and purchased sundirect,
on 31st december 2016 i called phone no;-[protected] talked to your customer care executive and i registered a complaint. Complain no SR # CW[protected], and your executive pleased me by giving wonderful answers and promised to solve the problem in 48 hrs. for that complaint i got an sms on Dt.[protected] at 10:44 PM on my registered mobile no [protected] that your sundirect complaint SR # CW[protected] is resolved as info given service helpline. [protected]. i was shocked.
on 7th January 2017 once again i registered a complaint, and your executives told we are sorry, we can understand your problem just give us 48 hours we will definitely solve the problem, every day i used to call to your customer care executives and beg them to solve my problem. then i called to [protected] and from there they gave me a new no and told me to call on [protected] its your gujarat customer care no.Since last 3 days i continuously called to guj customer care to solve my problem, and they fool me and give the same answer we will solve the problem tomorrow, And the very interesting thing is tomorrow never comes
I have called more than 10 times to your customer care and i have each and every recording details of the calls, I request you to take a quick action on this matter and resolve my problem as early as possible. or else i have to take any action which will be not good for your company

I was already using tata sky dish, and i was satisfied with there service, But actually what happened one day while i was sitting on a bus stop, i saw your advertisement, that sundirect is one of the cheapest with good services and will give 6 months free channels etc. etc. to our new valued customers. i was brainwashed by your advertisement.and i replaced my tata sky and purchased sundirect,
on 31st december 2016 i called phone no;-[protected] talked to your customer care executive and i registered a complaint. Complain no SR # CW[protected], and your executive pleased me by giving wonderful answers and promised to solve the problem in 48 hrs. for that complaint i got an sms on Dt.[protected] at 10:44 PM on my registered mobile no [protected] that your sundirect complaint SR # CW[protected] is resolved as info given service helpline. [protected]. i was shocked.
on 7th January 2017 once again i registered a complaint, and your executives told we are sorry, we can understand your problem just give us 48 hours we will definitely solve the problem, every day i used to call to your customer care executives and beg them to solve my problem. then i called to [protected] and from there they gave me a new no and told me to call on [protected] its your gujarat customer care no.Since last 3 days i continuously called to guj customer care to solve my problem, and they fool me and give the same answer we will solve the problem tomorrow, And the very interesting thing is tomorrow never comes
I have called more than 10 times to your customer care and i have each and every recording details of the calls, I request you to take a quick action on this matter and resolve my problem as early as possible. or else i have to take any action which will be not good for your company

On 2.10.15 at at 6.30 pm I made the sub. Complaint n I was told to wait 4 two days. On expiry of above period when contacted I was told to anticipate Mech. Visit at any moment. 3rd day passed. On 5.10.15 I again contacted say 5th or 6th attempt, n the same reply recd.
Wud u Pl tell me what is going on at ur end. R u engaged these people to fool the customers. Why couldn't u surrender that we r unable to help me. Why u r making monkey business with me. Don't u know I am off the air 4 last 5 days.
In view of this unwarranted n undesirable situation I like to know as to what step u r going to take to resolve my hardship. I expect an immediate reply.

Hai this is r.thivagar and i am from tamilnadu, living in dindigul district and i am using sundirect dth from[protected] onwards showing e16-4 service is currently scrambled showing but we contact customer support and no response from there, they are saying wait for 24 hrs after that it will be good

Not fulfilling the commitments after debiting the charges for recharging Sun Direct DTH subscription
On 19th Sept an amount of INR 1500 was debited through my SBT debit card for crediting the amount in my Sundirect DTH subscription no. [protected], the amount is neither credited in Sundirect nor refunded in my SBT account in stead of the Mobikwik team fooliing us by transferring the fund to my wallet and sundirect account. Since 19th 3 time the fund was refunded to my wallet after I transfer to the mentioned DTH service provider. Neither they call back as confirmed while calling their service desk nor the amount is transfered to my Sundirect DTH or to my sbt account.

Payment debited from SB A/C but not credited to party
please refer my saving bank a/c no.[protected] with main branch (opposite police lines) Allahabad. In this regard it is to inform you that I had made a payment of Rs.199.00(one hundred ninety nine only) towards the payment of re-charge the DTH system to SUN Direct i.e. on-line payment. I found that the payment has been deducted from my a/c on 8.7.2013 but as per customer care of SUN direct at Lucknow the payment has not been credited to sun direct a/c.
Kindly look into the matter and credit the above amount to their a/c.
