Not providing Et Wealth copy
I have been trying to get et wealth copy for last 3-4 weeks after seeing the advertisement in my Economic Times news paper. The customer care executives, area manager and vendors are making me fool for past few weeks. Every time when I call them they assured me to provide copy from next week.
Kindly help me in this matter as i really need that magazine.

I have been following with Times Group since a month on the extension of subcription due to lockdown and till date no one has responded. They do not just seem to be bothered for any customer queries or issues.

Complaint marked as Resolved No steps had been taken from the company on mailing of around 20 times they don't bother to reply single time in 15 days personally I had taked to local newspaper wender and he talked to authority and he agree to start my delivery of newspaper and finally I received my first newspaper on 22-oct-2019 please inform the reder engagement team, RMD team and Marketing team also communication team to be good with consumer.

non delivery of feline hindi magazines

I have annual subscription of femina hindi magazine. I changed my residence and subsequently requested for change of address through web site in the month of may 2018. After this with tiring efforts managed to connect its call centre. They confirmed changed address and assured for sending the magazines. After non receipt of magazine i called twice again with many efforts but still result is same. I don't understand why such a reputed organisation behaving in such a manner.
The complains which i have posted on the web site of the magazine is also not answered.
Now i don't know where to contact.

This is to bring your kind notice that i have applied for above mentioned monthly magazine vide application no kol/171763 dated 07/04/2018 for one year. Subscription fees was also paid. Necessary form and amount collected (Paid via credit card) was collected by your representative/rre mr. Debabra dutta. The form was filled up and payment was received in tata centre when your people made camp over there. A copy of which is enclosed for your ready reference.
Regret to inform you that till date i have not received a copy of the same same inspite of my several request. Every time i follow up for the same getting a standard reply that you will get the magazine from this month only. After sometimes your representative stops receiving my calls also. After that i called up your customer care no [protected] for the same here also i got the same reply that my subscription will starts from this month only. Till date i have not received any magazine from your organisation.
This is not expected from the times of india group. Now the questions arises in my mind that whether any cheat organisation on your behalf collected the money. I would be grateful if you could let me know the status.in case you are not aware of the matter i will request my organisation to stop making such types of camps in future.

Non delivery of Services that have been already paid for

I have subscibed two deals for an english and a hindi newspaper with the times group.
I have paid the amount for the deals. The coupons recieved say that I do not have to pay any other amount to the vendor. But the vendor is asking me to pay Rs. 500 for each deal to him. When I confronted him saying that the coupons say not to pay you anything he threatened that he will not give the newspaper.
Consequently I called up The times of India customer care cell and it has been two months now. The issue still persists and the vendor is not givin us any newspaper also.
Kindly help.

Non receipt of promised gifts

I am writing this complaint after getting immensely frustrated with Times Group Magazine Department. I have subscribed for Top Gear and Lonely Planet magazine for the current year and had applied using a promotional offer. I was supposed to receive 10 movie DVD's as a subscription offer with Top Gear. I was supposed to receive them by end of January 2012.
But then I never received the dvd's. Calling in mumbai office the only response I get is you will receive them by end of this week, but that never happens. I have raised countless complains in this regard. Now they have even started to shirk their responsibility saying that Pune office is responsible. No one in Pune office cares even to answer the phone. Logging any queries or complaints online is also of no use. No one resolves those or least bothers to see them.
I just can't believe I am suffering this bad treatment from one of the elite organisations in India. Even government offices work better.
I request all those reading this to stop buying times group products. These people print about the wrong doings of others in their newspapers but continue to do so openly themselves.
I would request times group to resolve my complain if they have any shame left.

I sent a mail to all the bigshots from timesgroup and posted this complaint here and to my surprise got the dvd's delivered just in one day. Thanks to consumercomplaints.in.

My customer ID No: 31283644. I had subsribed to to the Magazine 'BBC Knowledge January, 20013. To date I have received one Mag and am yet to receive the promised gift of a telescope. Inspite of repeated calls to the department and being assured of it's delivery, nothing. Very disappointing to say the least. Do something please.

I am from Mumbai city and I have purchased 1 year subscription of 2 magazines (Top Gear & Lonely Planet) from Times Group. I have made at least 6 complaints to the customer service of timesgroup that the magazines are delivered only after 20th of a month instead of within first week of the month. Also the magazines are in used condition. In last month, I got magazines with prints of fingers dipped in oil on many pages so I believe the magazines were used by some mechanic.
Service from TimesGroup is really pathetic and their customer service is not taking any actions after so many complaints. I am not sure how I can take some legal actions against Timesgroup. I strongly suggest all the readers to never go for magazine subscriptions from timesgroup.

We had subscribed for the Good Homes Magazine somewhere in July 11.and not received a single copy of the magazine. I have called the customer care more than 20 times in the last 25 days and every time I call I get the same response that they would send the copy by the next day,
Its been a month now I have not received the August copy till date. They promise to give a call back but never call.
I have spoken to the CRM head and even after that they fail to send me the copy of the magazine.
I really did not expect this kind of service from Times Group. I believe this is the worst service I have got in my whole life.

I have renewed my Lonely planet subscription with the times group, order no[protected]. The subscription period being 1/7/2011 to 1/6/2011.
I have been facing issues where I am not receiving the magazines. I have not received my copies of the lonely planet since the subscription started. If I need to followup on the issue every month, I rather have my money returned and I can buy the magazines off the stand instead. Can you please look into this at the earliest and ensure timely delivery of the Lonely Planet magazine.

This is a clear case of misleading the customer and it amounts to fraud when the Times Group team remains silent as can be seen from the chain mail below. The only person who speaks and responds is Ms Smitha Kulkarni based out of Bangalore who really is in no position to address the issue. Those above her are conspicous by their silence including the editor of the magazine!
I find it strange that an organisation like the Times Group should remain silent and not even respond to a customers complaint, that to one accusing them of virtual fraud. Surely somone needs to answer. Arnab Goswami throws questions at people and expects answers the same minute but the Group when questioned themselves chooses not too respond. Guilt can be the only reason. Misleading customers followed by acts amounting to cowardice is not something that the Times Group should be proud about.
I trust you would help in getting your team to get their act together.

I had received a call from this number[protected] at 4.08 p.m today i.e. 03.03.11.
I was busy in a meeting and the executive on the other side from timesjobs.com wanted to speak to me for registration.
I wanted to ask what is this call regarding ,the bluntly he called me “BLOODY FOOL” AND BANGED THE PHONE.
I thought that times group being a well reputed group, hires this kind of cheap employees who are so capable to even abuse the customer they call.
Moreover you don’t even find any body senior there who keeps the check on these cheap, illiterate employees you hired.
And a little while later i again receive a call from from time jobs .com registration deptt.[protected] Mr Rahul. Though the number seemed almost the same and i am sure Mr Rahul may the person who called me or he must be knowing the person. Who committed this act.
Further i have decided not to keep silent. I am putting this to consumer forum in the same mail.
And if i don’t receive a call regarding the update / action taken within two days from today, I would be lauching an F.I.R against you people.

I want to Lodge a complaint against the Job portal, business phone caller.
Call Received on: May 22, 2014
He called me and introduce himself as ANUJ, and said that, I am calling on behalf of Times jobs Job Portal.
He insist me to take the Paid service for getting Interview calls against my CV posted in the portal.
When I refused, he suggest me that, if you don't have 1600/-, then you can go to the temple and start begging for the same.
This is something, shows, how the times jobs are trained their professionals, to talk the persons.(Well, Definitely, I don’t think so…)
You cannot insist any person to take any kind of Service.
Before writing here, I have sent mail to customer care, almost four times with reminders.
I am unable to send the mail attachment, as there is not any functionality to attach mail attachments..
Kindly look into the issue, and contact me in case of more information required.

The "magazine subscription" business of Times Group is a extremely mis-leading and fraudulent. They promise exciting gifts but do not intend to deliver them at all. Only if you call them a million times you may be lucky to claw out your promised gift. Read on to know more.
My name is Apurva and i am a management researcher in Gurgaon. I signed up for a 2 Years subscription for the "Lonely Planet" Magazine in the last week of Aug,2010. The offer looked quite tempting as it required a payment of INR 2500 (approx) and promised to deliver 2 years magazine subscription + an original Hidesign leather hand bag (worth INR 3500). I was promised that the subscription would kick off in the month of Sept,2010 and the free gift would be delivered within 4 - 6 weeks.
I was glad to receive my promised copy of the magazine in the month of Sept, 2010 and i looked forward to receiving the Hidesign bag (which i had intended to gift to my wife in early November 2010). I waited until the mid-October to check on the leather bag and then i called the helpline number. The executive asked me for my cell phone number and confirmed that the gift was still on its way an would be delivered in the next 7 days.
I waited for over 10 days and then tried calling again, this time a different executive checked again and apologized for the delay. I mentioned to her that i intended to gift the bag to my wife and it would be great if she could ensure that there was no further delay. At this point i was again promised that the bag would be delivered in the next 8 - 9 days. After being fooled again i waited for another 10 days but to no avail.
I was quite frustrated with keeping track of the gift i deserved in the first place. I called the helpline again and demanded that i get to speak with a senior executive and my call was transferred to one Mr. Anil Singh who claimed to be the head of operations (i am not sure of the exact designation he mentioned). After listening to my problem he promised me a prompt resolution (by 26th Nov,2010) and made tall claims of how he would treat this experience as a case study with in the company. At that point i felt like this issue would be resolved but i was so stupid.
Mr. Anil Singh had not only lied to my on my face but also never bothered to inform me about his failure to fix my issue. On the eve of 26th Nov, 2010 i called again and demanded that i get my full refund but Anil was hell bent on getting me to settle with a horribly delayed gift.
I have had atleast 10 email communications (i have all the copies, if needed) with Times Group and Mr.Singh to refund my money but they are just not listening. As a consumer its extremely frustrating to deal with like Mr. Singh who take people for a ride.
I request this forum to condemn such acts and take stringent action against this individual and company (both).

My complaint on the Good Homes magazine only reinforces what you have said. Read on. Mr Bose is the CEO i think and all the rest copied in the mail are senior executives in the Times Group. Not surprisingly I got no response.

This is a clear case of misleading the customer and it amounts to fraud when the Times Group team remains silent as can be seen from the chain mail below. The only person who speaks and responds is Ms Smitha Kulkarni based out of Bangalore who really is in no position to address the issue. Those above her are conspicous by their silence including the editor of the magazine!
I find it strange that an organisation like the Times Group should remain silent and not even respond to a customers complaint, that to one accusing them of virtual fraud. Surely somone needs to answer. Arnab Goswami throws questions at people and expects answers the same minute but the Group when questioned themselves chooses not too respond. Guilt can be the only reason. Misleading customers followed by acts amounting to cowardice is not something that the Times Group should be proud about.
I trust you would help in getting your team to get their act together.

I have both Lonely Planet and Good Homes subscription, that was to start July 2011. Lucky enough i got a letter that stated my order number and when my subscription starts. But beyond that I have received nothing. Despite several calls and emails, my subscription is in a black hole and I am in the hope to get those magazines some day.
Is there a way to take them to consumer court ?

The Problem with Times Group is permanent.
They are cheats of highest order. I had Femina, Filmfare, Hello, Grazia, Top gear, Good Homes subscribed.
1- I did not get any gift promised during payment.
2- I did not get the copies in time. (they arrive month later) usually some missing that month
3- The magazines recevied are read already by someone and hence they are old and have no samples /car posters inside magazines.
4- I called them a gazillion times and they fail to resolve.
5- Never is another subscription I am signing with this crap company.

The Times of India Group, owner and publisher of GoodHomes magazine are the biggest fraudsters in India, but can remain scot-free (reasons known). I had subscribed to GoodHomes magazine 2 months back (renewal) with the subscription number as 32029971, and paid the full money - but yet to receive the gift. Last time I had subscribed, I got the gift with 4 broken mugs out of six and was asked to go to their MG Road office for exchange. My wife had been trying to call their subscription cell in Bangalore on the numbers listed, and they take the customer number and phone number, but no one calls after that. They are the biggest thieves, but can remain immune because of the support from ruling party and can always go on cheating people and get ways. My email id is [protected]@gmail.com

I have subscribed three magazines of times group in the month of Aug/Sep by timesshopping online and made payment also online. the three magazines are:
My customer ID 27482992.
1. Lonely Planet

3. Home Trends
From october 2010 they have to send me copies of my issues but when they didn't send me by 10th of October I called them on 11th. They gave me complaint no. 332571.They promised me to send my copies within 2 days but after a repeated calls nothing happens.
On 22nd Oct. I got email from timesgroup that I will get the copies in 3 working days. upsmail service also mail me and promise me to get the copies within 3 working days. but till date I didn't get the octobet issues.

Non-Delivery of subscribed Magazine issues.
My name is Devesh Kataria (cust id#[protected]. I had subscribed for BBC Knowledge on 21st, July 2012. Its a Bi-monthly magazine but till date I have not received any copy of the magazine. I called the customer care and was told that I would receive the copies in next 3 days and the next time I called they told me the magazine was delivered to me (which I never received). Since month of September I m calling the customer center after every 10 days but no use.Its been more than two months I m calling customer center and complaining and every time I get an answer that in next 3 days I will receive my magazines. I subscribed the magazine looking at Times group's reputation I had decided to go ahead and accept the deal offered on their website, but now I regret on it. This is really unprofessional behavior that its been 3 months to my subscription and I have called them more than 10 times requesting to send me the copies of the subscribed magazine, but still I have not received my magazines.
I demand either to start delivering the magazine or return my money.

Complaints against simply marry by Times Group
I have a receipt by Simply Marry (Times Group) Number 57222, which states two advertisements each 8" * 8" and a gold plus plan. I have been commited again by Mr. Pankaj Sharma and Miss Simran Arora (Quality Analyst). Miss Pooja Jha (CRM Head) is now refusing to the same. I am not even getting the chat service as well. No one is responding properly on chat as well. they donot answer on customer care chat.

I have ximilar bad experience, i have paid gold membership rs. 1750, even after 4 days, my account number punm 1344949 is not activated, i called to one miss Shabana from times grop, but after payment received, she even not showing courtesy to lift her cell to answer me, and all other pune members like Karan, Ravi and Atul saying t, they will look into matter and call back me in half hours and nobody never responded, even they say you can call to customer care and demand refund, and customer care number is not lifted even after half hour, automated service, wasted my cell bill.
My advice-simply marry is very third class service, so never pay them to raise your headache, better pay local matrimony service.

non delivery of newspaper
I have been an avid reader of the TOI since i started how to read..I have shifted my base to Shalimar garden, Shahibabad (UP) recently.from New delhi. What I found about the unprofessional approach towards the newspaper delivery by hawkers that's very frustating.. No hawker has shown promptness to deliver the TOI to my residence i.e. B-112, (A-3), Shalimar garden Extn II, Sahibabad..I appeal The Newspaper sales department to please arrange the paper deliver at my home ASAP..I have to miss the news at present bcoz of the unprofessional attitude shown by vendors..as I called him many times and he assured me to drop the paper but to no avail till date..thanking you..

I am TIMES OF India CONSUMER ID 36889040.I received your letter on 22.09.18 to start the delivery of news paper from 16.09.18, which is surprising. I gave a cheque for Rs. 1199 for a period of two years to Mr.YASHU phone no.[protected] and requested him to change the VENDOR as the vendor delivers the news paper only between 10.30am and 11.00am. It is humbly requested to note the same so that I receive my copy of news paper before 7.30 am.

WE HAD BOOKED A STALL AT TIMES JOB FAIR HELD IN PATNA ON 21ST JUNE, 08. WE HAD PAID 11, 798/- FOR THE SAME. WE WERE ASSURED THEY WILL PUBLISH ADDS IN TOI, HINDUSTAN HINDI, PRABHAT KHABAR. HINDUSTAN HINDI HAS GOT THE LARGEST READERSHIP IN BIHAR SO SEEING THAT ADD WOULD COME IN HH WE BOOKED THE STALL. BUT THE ADD NEVER CAME OUT SO WE REFUSED TO PARTICIPATE IN IT EVEN AFTER WE HAD PAID THE ENTIRE AMOUNT. THE PEOPLE FROM TIMES GROUP TOLD US THAT WE WOULD GET A REFUND ON 23RD JUNE (AS 21ST & 22ND WERE SATURDAY SUNDAY) BUT TILL NOW WE HAVE NOT GOT ANY REFUND AND WE ARE JUST BEING DILLY DALLIED. This is really bad. These fraudulent practises should be immediately stopped as its antagonising that media houses are doing such mean things.
I booked one order no. OGA[protected]. 25 days are over I could not get any thing. I have already paid Rs. 3198. I think this group is full of cheats.
