Byju's — Byju's Disney Learning Program Fraud | |||||
Hello, I am reporting the issue with the program that was sold to me after counselling done by Byju's Counsellor - Ritika Shaw on April 23, 2021. As generally happens they are suppose to fool the public by giving extra-ordinary examples in order to convince for the Brand. I got fooled too but was not convinced about the product - "Byju's Disney Learning Program" since the counsellor herself was not aware of the program other than what she mentioned as Kids have a tendency to not listen to the elders but they are interested in imitating the cartoon characters. That's the idea behind the product although she was not able to convince me how this has helped any kid so far. Anyway registered the program with payment of Rs. 5000. Parents know their child and their habits till the age they gain their own consciousness between wrong and right. my kid is 3 and half years old but she has been a late learner and also late in speaking so we were not really sure but the counsellor had convinced us saying that there is a Demo period of 15 days which will give us a chance to understand if the program is working for the kid or else she will help with the complete refund. (No information/process of program cancellation shared). Agreed upon the verbal communication and blind trust, we pursued with the program as a trial/demo. On July 19, 2021 we made payment of Rs. 48000 via a online EMI(6 x 8000) scheme named as shopse. On July 24, 2021 at 12:26 noon we received the kit/program includes of a tablet with some other learning essentials in a Byju's school bag. On July 26, 10:31 AM - received Byju's mentor common line number via whatsapp by the counsellor to check about the program and further process. On July 29, 23:54 PM - Raised concern to the counsellor about this program not working as expected and there was a gap in understanding between kid and the tablet learning. Attached is WhatsApp chat for complete information. No information about cancellation was shared but a commitment to change the program to fit the kids need. Gave her all the inputs to improvise the program and she agreed upon the changes as well to be done soon. Upon continuous probing for update with no update i asked to take back the program once again on August 22nd but i was assured of the changes to be done soon. I was also able to figure out there was no internal sync between the counsellor and the mentors for the kids learning programs. No update was done till September 1st where i was keep on chasing the counsellor and the mentors to hear back from them but all i got was some excuse. (See WhatsApp chat attached). After the upgrade on the tab was pushed we did not see any change on the program, neither it helped the kid in any aspect. Once again i asked for program cancellation on September 4th. On September 7th, 2021 - after chasing so many times, the counsellor shared me the cancellation mail id "[protected]@byjus.com"of Byju's and asked to drop an email which i did on same day. And then started another chase trail over email, WhatsApp and call but all was a waste of time and nothing else. Now i have landed here hoping get it right what has been on-going wrong for so far.
