Dear Team,
I am writing regarding the recent rent revision communicated to me, where my rent has been increased from ?16, 000 to ?19, 000 effective 1st May 2026.
As per the Colive handbook:
Clause 3.4.8 mentions that rent increase is generally limited to 4% once every 6 months.
While Clause 3.4.9 allows revision based on market conditions, it also clearly states that in case the revised rent is not agreeable, the licensee has the right to continue at the existing rates and raise a one-month termination notice.
The current increase of approximately 18.75% is significantly higher than the standard 4% guideline and is not acceptable to me.
Therefore, I would like to formally state the following:
I do not agree with the revised rent.
As per the handbook, I will proceed by:
Clearing my dues at the previous rent of ?16, 000, and
Initiating my one-month notice period as per policy.
I request you to update my account accordingly and confirm that I can settle the current dues at the old rate.
I expect this matter to be handled in line with the handbook guidelines and request a prompt resolution.
the official channel to raise the same does not seem to be either responding or directing in the places like in app or online WhatsApp kind of solution where there is no accountability. would need your help in the same
